Wish me Luck!!!

Where do you mention the specs of the house, e.g., 3/2 2cg, 2400sf etc.? Do these details have to go in your 250 characters?

Thank you,gotfit.

We have an investor coming tomorrow. He buys, sells and rents real estate. I know he won't offer what a standard buyer will, but we don't have any of those and it's worth seeing what he'll offer (if he's even interested).

We repainted everything a neutral color, redecorated, staged, took new pics and sent out another mailing and had exactly 0 showings again this week

Well I'll keep good thoughts for you and the family :) The market has taken quite a hit, so they are saying it takes a bit longer, but it will happen, just keep believing it, it will happen :)

Cheers,
Diane

That guy had to postpone until today. He is also a builder and he had a bunch of problems on a build site yesterday, but he said he really wants to look at my house. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Nope, not really.

The builder guy looked at it and decided he couldn't do it for the price we were asking, so we gave him our rock bottom price yesterday and he's taking it to his partners to decide if they can do it now.

We had a couple more showings and one this afternoon.

If it hasn't sold we're changing realtors on Friday

It'll only be a matter of time man.

Here are some sites which may help. Although some are UK based, I think the principles are basically the same?

- showing your house

- 10 ways to sell your house quicker

That article seems to be pretty much the same as the previous though.

Good luck with selling man!

Well, my wife put out her resume and we have been deluged with calls from recruiters. She's interviewing for a local position that pays considerably more than her current job. We may end up staying here. If we decide we want a bigger house, it won't be as bad trying to sell this one since we'll both be home.

Thanks,

My wife got a great job here. She's volunteered to be laid off at her current job so she'll get a fat severence package too.

We got used to the idea of getting a bigger house and we already had our offer on a new one accepted. Our new realtor is awesome. Thanks to her "reverse prospecting" and staging, we've had 5 showings in our first week.

Man, our luck is turning...thanks for the mojo everyone!!

....another amazing thing happened...

There was a huge tree (maybe 40 feet) that didn't look too good in the back of the new house. We even talked about how it could fall and hit the house and how much it would cost to remove it. The day we signed the purchase agreement there was a storm and the tree fell over. It hit a smaller tree which deflected it from the house and only one branch barely grazed the house. It cracked one window and bent the gutter a little bit. The agreement says the house has to be in the same condition as when we viewed it so they have to remove the tree and fix the minor damage
