Marsia, yes I'm at that point where I don't want to make choices. Inside paint was pretty easy for me. But I only used 3 colors to keep it simple -- living space, master bed, daughter's room. I figure paint in one room is one of those things I can always change later. The thing that stresses me about the stain is that it's not easily changed later. Same goes for tile. Those are difficult, expensive changes.
But yeah, next time I build a house, I'm hiring Marsia as my designer.
I am starting to wonder if I'm going through pre-menopause, but I'm only 43! My periods have changed the past few years. I used to be a 28 day on the dot girl. Now I'm 21 days, 31 days, etc. My last period only lasted for like 2 days. The months before were heavier than usual. Now I feel like I'm going to start again. I've been unable to get full the past few days and feel constantly hungry -- which is what it's like in the few days before a period. Also, my hormones feel off-balance. Oh well. Not like I can do anything to stop it if that's what it is, it just seems kind of early.
Not much was done on my house this week, which is frustrating. Hurricane Michael came barreling through here yesterday with heavy rains and winds. We are far inland, so we don't get the actual hurricane, but a tropical storm, which is bad enough IMO. I could hear the trees snapping in the woods next to my house and some roads were closed from flooding. Today is supposed to be nice and sunny, though. I have to drive to Charlotte to pick up my tile in a bit. Then over to the new house to talk to the tile guy -- if he's there. That guy seems to make his own schedule, lol.
I did get over there last night to put up some colors next to the stone, but it was very wet, so I'm not sure if this pic will even work. I may have to try again today when it is dry.

That dark painted color is what I have right now for the door. The lighter color next to it is my siding color -- it looks super light next to the dark, but it is actually a warm gray. And then 2 stain colors on the posts. I am kind of liking the hue of the posts as they are, but not sure they entirely go with the stone.
Anyway will try to get a better picture today when it's more dry. Everything is super wet in this pic.
