Well i am pleased i didnt put on any weight last night, as i had an awards dinner at a restaurant. It was a full smorgasbord, and i was so proud of my choices. All i had was a bit of salad (No dressings), and a bit of seafood.
So to not put on weight from that evening makes me really happy!

well i`ve lost 10lbs so far but i`m gona try putting my weight down everyday to see how much i`m progressing. i`m just looking to lose as much as posable, while i`m enjoying doing it:sifone:.

I am not convinced that weighing yourself every day is doing any favours, unless it is making you feel good every time you step on the scales. I suspect that much of our eating takes place, not so much when we are hungry, but rather when we are feeling low. So if stepping on the scales every single day is only helping you to feel bad...then I would suggest cutting down. Once a week is more than enough.
The past is history. Learn the lesson and let go of the emotion. This is what most esoteric teachings would advise. We would do well to bring more of their teachings into our life and recognise that you are amazing. There is no computer on the planet that can do what you can do. You don't have to keep running the old programmes...You can create new ones.
I do agree though that you need to set goals for what you want your weight to be. As human beings we are motivated by setting goals for ourselves. However, much of what we do during the day is below our conscious awareness. We do things by habit or to put it another way, we do it unconsciously.
Why not utilise the same process to ensure your success.

This may seem odd, but just humour me and try this for a month.
Use that cinema screen in your head to create a picture in your mind of yourself stepping onto the scales and being delighted to see them read exactly what you want as your next weight goal. Make that picture as vivid and bright and realistic as you possibly can.
Notice the date...set the date.
Then in your mind, step into the picture and live it, experience it, use your 5 senses, what can you see, what do you hear, what do you say to yourself, what is everyone else saying to you as they congratulate you, how do you celebrate your success, what can you smell, taste....how good do you feel.
Do this every day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Let your subconscious work on it whilst you sleep.
Just try it every day for a month (What harm can it do?) and notice what happens.
Every successful athlete utilises this type of visualisation. Try it for yourself and then come back and tell me just how successful you were.
Your unconscious mind is very powerful. Use it.
Meantime, for that 1 month, I would ask you to eliminate going on the scales every day. Instead try once a week.
I know this is at odds with much of this forum, however, to keep doing the same thing every day and expect different results is what Einstein described as insanity.

i always weigh myself everyday regardless of being on a diet, so its a real treat weighing myself while i`m on a diet.
most people will have a treat once a week so are you sugesting we weigh ourselfs after the treat? if u do that every week thats kind of a downer. then what if you didnt weigh urself after a treat and you splurged again putting on more weight and not even knowing what your doing to yourself. what about the people going to the gym, i love weighing myself after the gym. its just routine mate.

personally i love weighing myself everyday while on a diet becuase it feels great to see the scales go down. infact i`m weighing myself twice a day at the mo to get that boost for the next day.

If it's working for you and keeping you motivated and moving towards your targets then that's great, power to you, keep doing whatever is working. Regrettably that is not the case for all and one's weight can fluctuate by a pound or so for several different reasons.
I simply want to see people motivated towards success, so as I say, if this is working for you then that's great.
