alligatorob, I hear you on the peanut butter. The small doses is the hard part. Before I restarted my weight loss journey I was going through a jar a week!
Early morning snack: Raisin Bran Crunch cereal (this was off plan. woke up in the night craving something crunchy and carby. Hasn't happened in a while. Will keep an eye on this, Hopefully not a trend.)
Breakfast: tofu, egg, onion, garlic, spinach, avocado, olive oil; grapefruit; decaf with milk
Lunch: one piece string cheese; four crackers; peanut butter; roquefort; mint tea with lemon
Snack: coffee with cream
Dinner: veggie burger with one slice swiss cheese, onions, olive oil; roasted Butternut squash, brussels sprouts, olive oil, lemon; clementine
Walked 7,000 steps
I read a lot of mystery fiction and recently read two novels by a new-to-me author Michael Koryta. How It Happened is about an FBI agent obsessed with a confession, maybe false maybe true, to a double murder. If She Wakes is about a woman in a coma who may have been witness to a murder. They are suspenseful, with also some interesting observations about human nature.
One quote struck me. The FBI agent comes from a family with anger problems and is trying to break the cycle. "[His father] had taught his son to pause and imagine his anger as a book, to turn each moment that infuriated him into a page and then imagine turning those pages slowly, reviewing each one, before shutting the book and shelving it." This sounds a useful technique.
