Weight-Loss Walkin' To A Winter Onederland--team Thread

Weight-Loss
Holiday goals

Whilst I will continue to work as hard on my project as I can and would dearly love to continue to lose - I have decided to consider maintenance a major success.

I will be away from home for nine days and during that time will do less exercise than normal. In addition I will have less control over my food during this period. I know that there will be many testing times when fattening food is offered to me.

I will try and stay on track and will be delighted (and a little surprised) by any overall weight loss that I manage to achieve.

Bonus 7

Post your Holiday weight loss goals and how you plan to achieve them.
For example, are you going to try and lose weight over the next few weeks, or maintain, or are you planning on gaining?
You'll get 25pts for doing so. :santa:

My goal is just to take it one day at a time.

I have had no progress at all bc when I lose, I just gain it back.

Gained 2 lbs this weigh in.

I need to worry about fixing "me" and my personal issues I guess before trying to fix my weight.

I thought I was fixed, but I was wrong.

I have lots of emotions swimming around and things are not looking good for me right now.

I guess my main goal should be making myself go back to the loon dr.
(Disorder Clinic)

I hate going there, but I guess it's time.

I'm sure they will tell me I have a whole list more of disorders/problems.

Everyone in my family says I'm Bi-Polar.

Wouldn't doubt it!

Sorry this was not FaLaLaLaLa & Joyful.

Hi Stacy

Please try not to think of the Disorder Clinic with negative concepts like loon dr. We all have a number of physical and / or psychological problems and issues that we collect across a lifetime. Thankfully doctors are there to help us in a number of those areas - and we are wise to seek out and accept their guidance.

As for a diagnosis from within the family - unless that family member is qualified then I would suggest that you ignore it until you have heard from a professional.

As for losing weight and then gaining it back in December - that is pretty much par for the course. I am sure that I have heard that the average skinny person puts on weight during December. All it means that you temporarily lost your focus and put on a little weight week-on-week. Look on page 6 of the November 2 pounds a week challenge. You will see that I put on weight in the week ending 16th November. We all have these moments. Please do not be more concerned about it than is justified - just try to recapture your focus and your weight loss project will be back on track.

Take care

I am hoping to continue my snail's pace of a weight-loss thru-out Christmas.
We are going to be driving to NYC for Christmas to visit with my hubby's family.
If I can make it thru with a loss or even by maintaining I will be very impressed. As everyone knows road trip food is rarely if ever healthy and sitting in a car for 10-12 hours is not going to get any calories burned off. LOL
And to top it all off, my hubby's aunt is the best cook ever. So
like I said, I plan to still eat as healthy as possible, walk alot (seeing the sights of the city dressed for Christmas) and hopefully maintain.

I lost a pound this week!!!
I was able to hold onto that lowest weight yet number all week. So that has to mean that next week will be another new low number.
Especially since my PowerCore teacher will be having our classes 4 days instead of 2 and I plan to hit at least 3 of them. Wooo-hooo!
I am just aching to get outta the 190's.
For the last 5 days I haven't once gone below that 196.4~
It's so close I can taste it!!!! LOL
I would love to hit 190 by Christmas or at least 195 by the end of the challenge.

I have not been able to post to the forum in days!!! I wrote this in my food journal on Wednesday, and am hoping it counts for the bonus. I have been reading everyone's stuff, but have not been able to post anything. So frustrating, but apparently fixed now.

Holiday plans: Allow myself a cheat meal on christmas eve (dinner) and no diet on christmas day, provided that I eat: a)adequate protein both days, b)only ONE tablespoonful of things that are bad for me and c) only 250 calories can come from dessert.
Day after christmas, back on track, no cheats, no excuses. No special breaks for new years eve except for maybe an adult beverage if I so desire it.
Basically, stay as on-track as possible while still enjoying everything the holiday has to offer!

Great Plan! :grouphug:

Sorry you were havin' forum/computer issues!

******

My stats are updated and I did just terrible...lol

I weigh more than when I started.

Pretty damn embarrassing! :svengo:

I have many issues to work out on a personal level including the horror of "emotional eating" that returned out of nowhere! :toetap05:

I look forward to the holiday's bein' over! {food wise}.

I want to get back on track and become strong so next time I won't fall off the wagon!

CONGRAT'S To ALL that have done their best and have had awesome success!

THANK YOU Kimberly for all of your hard work and time as well! :hug2:

~*Best Wishes To All For A Merry Christmas!*~

Hi Stacy

No-one should ever feel embarrassed among friends. :grouphug:
We all know the horror of emotional eating only too well. It is very easily done - and not something that anyone would ever choose to do. We know and understand this. I know that you will be able to take control - but I also know how hard it is.:grouphug:
