Vic’s Weight Loss

I had to get the high blood medicine cause it was previously high. It was so hard to get the medicine. So now I check my blood pressure and heart rate. Now both of them are low so I didn’t take the pill cuz I don’t need it today!!! Tomorrow my be different. The salt in my diet might be contributing to it. Or maybe my genes! It runs in my family... and diabetes and breast and colon cancer. So tomorrow I’m seeing my internal medicine doctor who is my pcp. I’ll be asking her to run some tests. glocuse levels and a1c levels, a mammogram, and when I can get a colonoscopy. I have to advocate for my self. This is tomorrow my appointment. My period finally came last week but I’ll still go to my women’s health clinic in the va at bedford later this month.

I have another appt later tomorrow for the periodontist to check my gums. Thi will be outside the va so I’ll be paying since I don’t have private insurance. But it isn’t too much. I think under 100 dollars for checking it with xrays!!!

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday I have two dates. So I’m looking forward to that. I hope that they show up… At chipotle!!! So I don’t mess with my diet. I bought a dress and shoes from amazon. still thinking if I should return them. They are kind of sexy which is not my usual way of dressing so we will see if I’m confident to wear the dress and boots. They are both pink.

ive been wearing makeup since I left the hospital!!! Since now I have so much time on my hands. And I’ve been getting up early. Yesterday I was up at 1230am and went to ihop. I had egg whites turkey bacon toast and coffee which also contributed to my weight gain yesterday!!!

Then on Thursday I have a cleaner coming over to clean my place!!! Then on Friday I have a carpet cleaner to clean my spare room that my brother messed up with all his soot. I did not even see the mess before he left but he will be paying for it!!! Then my two stairs.

I also bought an echo dot but the new version just came out with a clock so that sucks. NEways, Alexa is great. I can do so much with her!!! Especially play music. Better than my playlist. I even can hear the news which is great. Also something that I started to do since I left the hospital...
 
Thanks Rob!!! I would eat fruits more but it has alot of fructose. I do eat an orange but that’s it. I have veggies with my breakfast and today lunch.

I do take a multivitamin, b12, and vitamin D. And now magnesium!!! I’ll definitely check what I need tomorrow with my labs at the doctors office. Thanks for the reminder.

You should have some interesting heritage, both Puerto Rico and Trinidad have been real mixing pots. Let us know what you find out.

Lunch was 2 chicken tacos from chipotle. Dinner was chicken breast and a tortilla.

I also went and got groceries. A lot of healthy stuff. I even got some little oranges kind of like cuties. I have breakfast stuff so I’m excited to make breakfast tomorrow. It’s going to be 2 slices of oatmeal bread (35 cal each), 2 slices of turkey bacon (30 cal each) an egg (70 cal) and jalapeño cheese ( I think about 70 cal). I will also add some tomatoes and red onions, and green pepper and cilantro!!! Lunch will be one tortilla (110 cal I think), chicken breast 4 ounces (150 cal I think), pico de gallo, red leaf lettuce. Dinner is going to be zoodles and ground chicken with pico de Gallo.

Tomorrow I have to go by my sis and pick up some stuff to mail to my mom. I also have my brother medicine to mail. And my dna kit. I have 2 appts. My pcp and periodontist.

I also want to get a manicure and pedicure. And an eyebrow wax.

yesterday I had bread, cheese, an egg, turkey bacon and coffee with Almond milk for breakfast. Less than 200 cal. Then lunch was chicken breast tenders from the day before that I made in air fryer with butternut squash that I bought already peeled and diced for 5 min in microwave. Dinner was hearts and gizzard with butternut squash. Then about four 35 cal bread slices. Some with butter and some with half a cheese. Then I also had one 50 cal lite cheese Stick.

I did not get the zucchini yesterday because the grocery store did not have any ground turkey. So I ended up getting the gizzards and hearts because it was about a dollar. And butternut squash and pumpkin. also got an iced coffeefrom aroma joes. a sugar free Irish cream with almond milk and it was terrible so I won’t be going there any more!!! Just will stick with my packets of coffee At home.

I also went to the periodontist. He said I needed a deep cleaning. The last one I had was about 4 years ago. (But I do get regular teeth cleaning 3 times a year at the va.). So he said if that doesn’t work I will have to get gum surgery. So far I’ve spent about $300 for a consultation and xrays. Also the deep cleaning will be 1200. I don’t have dental insurance but I don’t trust the va to do it. Since my gums are not too healthy... So I’ll be paying for it myself.

so my bulimia has caught up with me. I thought I was doing great with my gums since I floss everyday sometimes more.

Today I was 139.8 lbs but I got up extra early since I was so tired yesterday. For breakfast I’m having coffee with almond milk and my little orange. Today I have a date at chipotle at lunch. So I’ll also get the same kids meal. Build your own. So I’ll get chicken two flour tortillas with corn salsa and med salsa! it comes with a drink and a little orange. I’m planning on eating half and half later. If I dont do that then I’ll eat my leftovers for dinner. Since last time I wasn’t successful!!!

Very sorry to hear about the gum disease. :( (It's not just the peridontist making work for himself, though?)

And you're someone else with an airfryer! (LaMaria has one too.) How long have you had it? Do you use it much?
 
$1,200 for cleaning your teeth sounds excessive, even for a deep clean. Have you considered a second opinion? I had to have a deep cleaning once, because I went about 20 years without any cleaning. It did not cost anything like $1,200, as I recall it was double the normal cleaning price.

Good teeth are important, you are smart to do what you have to to keep them.
 
Well Ill go get another estimate on the deep cleaning. I don’t know if it’s excessive but the dentist has his own practice so maybe that’s why it’s higher. But I will definitely look around for the gum surgery if I need one. But I do need to double check my gums because the va did check my gums and there was a lot of deep pockets of 5 and 6 in the back teeth. They just did not do anything. I did not know what she was talking about at the time so I was curious and that’s was what prompted me to just do a gum check!

I use the air fryer whenever I have to bake but I don’t add oil to crisp it up. I would recommend getting a ninja that comes with a pressure cooker. It’s not much more. My mom has one and it’s great!!! some of them also have a dehydrator.

Weight was 138.6 lbs early this morning!!! yesterday for breakfast I had an orange cutie. Then for lunch I had a kids meal from chipotle since I had my date there. I had a small cheese quesadilla with sides of chicken, corn salsa, and med salsa. And a small orange. Then dinner I had butternut squash and my leftover gizzard and hearts. i just zapped my squash in the microwave for 5 min. And my meat but it started popping after 2 min so I took them out. And one slice of wheat bread with a little butter.

i also had to get a new phone and line for my brother. So I went to sprint and got the iPhone 11 pro!!! And an iPad for $99! And a line for that too. So im keeping those. My brother will get my old iPhone 7 which I got in april! And I’ll give him my old iPad too!

NEways for breakfast because I’m up early I had 2 slices of wheat bread (35 cal each), an egg with one slice of turkey bacon and jalepeno cheese. And a coffee with almond milk. So this is about 280 cal. Lunch is going to be a plain salad with one of my 0 cal skinny girl dressing And a cutie. Dinner will be my leftover gizzards and hearts and butternut squash.

im pretty satisfied with my meal plans these days!!! Since I’m eating enough to be satiated and not having to purge. And I’m still losing weight. Also not being around my family helps a lot! Now I only have to see my sisters on the weekends. And now since I left the hospital i can say no to the starchy foods. im Trying now to reach under 137.0 lbs since I ate all the rice last week so no more rice!!!
 
So I’m looking forward to oct 15 that’s when planet fitness opens up near by me. I’m also looking to the 18 th Alex birthday party. Then on oct 26 is my sis Halloween party. And I’m getting my new furniture up on my loft. So excited. today the junk movers are getting rid of what I have upstairs.

Today I had breakfast of 2 35 cal oatmeal bread, an egg, 1 slice of turkey bacon, one slice of jalapeño cheese and coffee with almond milk. For lunch I had the leftovers of butternut squash. And the hearts and gizzard. And dinner I had the same. I was hungry still after lunch so I had a cheese stick and a slice of the oatmeal bread. Also a half of the jalepeno cheese. After dinner I did have a half of the jalepeno cheese and oatmeal bread. Also a small piece of air fried chicken tenders.

Tomorrow I will try to forgo the jalapeño cheese for breakfast since I seem to be eating them as snacks. Lunch will be a salad and chicken tenders that I will have leftover from today. Dinner might be the pumpkin and chicken tenders. If I have a snack it might be the cheese sticks or one slice of oatmeal bread.
 
That was pretty interesting about the Ninja cooker - thanks for the mention of it! I went off and read all about it via internet. I can't see myself buying it, because of the bench-space issue, but it helps to know what's around.
Your social life (parties! :party:) and your food life are both sounding great - and new furniture coming, and a fitness centre opening - it's wonderful to hear that things are going so well!
 
Yeah Amy it does take up a lot of space!!!

Today I’m 138.4 lbs. Last night I had a binge of bread tortilla baked chicken tenders. Cheese... So today my aim is getting to just eating 3 meals and no snack.

But I’m still happy with the loss of .2 lbs!!! Losing weight is so hard to do! And even maintaining is hard. I cannot even remember the last time I purged!!! More than 3 weeks.
 
Hey Vic, not purging is big, 3 weeks, that is great. I know the late night chicken tenders were not planned, but if it was just one meal's worth of calories that seems short of a binge. Maybe too many calories to lose weight and not the best diet, but only you know if it was really a binge. Either way its good that you recorded it here, it should help you stop it. Do you record all of your food and calories? I keep track as the day goes along, it helps me to know exactly what eating something will do to my calorie count for the day.

You have made a lot of progress since starting here, keep it up!

Today I was 138.2 lbs!!! Tomorrow I hope I’m 137 something.

My eating was fine today. I had breakfast of an egg, one turkey bacon, cheese with 2 slices of wheat bread. Lunch was a tortilla with a chicken tender and lettuce, red onions, and tomatoes. Then dinner was pumpkin and ground turkey with red onions, bell peppers, tomatoes and carrots. Then I had a cheese stick and the last chicken tender. Right now I’m going to have a mandarin orange. And hopefully that’s all for today.

I might go by my sister tomorrow. Then church in the afternoon.
 
NEway I’ve been keeping track of my blood pressure this past week. I did have high blood pressure. I started taking pills until Sunday when I stopped. For the past several days the readings have been low since Monday.

today I’m at 139.0 lbs! Had a binge session late late last night. with the tortilla and cheese. Not going to be buying them again. I’ll also not buying bread again. Had a horrible night last night.

today I’m taking a break. Not that I want to but my sister invited me over for breakfast. I went because I also wanted to see the twins. They are always so happy. Then she said maybe we can go out for dinner after church. So how can I refuse. So a part of living.

This next week I cut out bread including tortillas and cheese. So my diet should be cleaner and maybe I will be able to lose more weight. I also cut out alcohol and rice.

im looking forward to the planet fitness club opening up so I can resume my workout On the 15th. It’s close by so I will be going more often. I think its 24 hours. Finally!!!
