Velocity Diet-Thinking about doing it

Call it a crash diet, extreme diet, what ever the fk you want, all i can say this diet works. The people that insult the diet are the ones that can't handle it or are just ignorant.

Too funny !:yelrotflmao:

If you use that sort of logic....then steroids, liposuction and gastric bypass / banding etc. etc. work too !

What is your point ?

Then I hope you a have a happy existence, continue lifting your life in ignorance !

I've posted all the info i needed for any sane and logical person to see a V-diet is a not a crash diet, and that successfull results have come out of it and have been maintained, so i wont bother replying again, wont get involved in a full-fledged fight.
Results speak for themselves, if your too close-minded to listen to something new than im sorry for you

My life has nothing to do with ignorance, and I am sure there are many other who agree with me.

And just an FYI little man, I have been healthy and active all my life. I have only been overweight once and that was when I was pregnant (and if you aren't too ignorant, you'll know that happens), and underweight for a short time when my father died. I have probably been healthier longer than you have been alive, so don't talk to me about ignorance.....

everyone calm down, it's ok.
I would like to ask everyone now a question. I'm at 14.7 bobyfat is this the fastest way to get closer to 12% so I can start a bulk? I want your opinion yes or no

I don't think you should do the V-diet just because if you are looking to lose only 2.7% BF, which can be attained by just eating in a deficit, and stepping up on the cardio.

V-diet works best for the people who have the most weight to lose.

don't take offence, it happens when you blindly worship things/ sites/ people

Things - Don't worship things, though i've been pretty one with nature lately, so that might be considered a thing.

Sites - I worship and pray to T-nation.com 5 times a day.

People - Christian Thib's is God. His word is supreme. Praise Thibs!

A quick fix? Sure. A easy fix? No.

And yep, it is an extreme diet, but its been proven to work.

Why does someone who is an average gym rat - not an elite athlete, not a bodybuilder or cover model, not someone who is morbidly obese - have to resort to an " an extreme diet " ?

Laziness perhaps ?;)

btw - do you think that consuming 1,400 - 1,700 calories for a 193 lb. person who does heavy weight training and some cardio is close to triggering a ' starvation ' response ....regardless if the calories are in the form of a shake or food ?

In the vast majority of cases, there is another way to shred fat..............it's called ' hard work '.

Do you believe that through the V-diet that you can lose a substantial amount of fat in 28 days?

Sure a V-diet will do it. But why do you need a V-diet to do it ?

It's not the V-diet itself that's doing it - i.e lose a substantial amount of fat in 28 days - IMO.

Using the example in your link.......simply slashing your caloric intake to well below your BMR ( as suggested for the 193 lb. person ) is bound to result in a substantial amount of fat in 28 days....whether it's from shakes or from food. Starvation mode dieting works - shakes or not. But again, it not whether it works or not ...that's not the issue....steroids work too after all !;)

My question to you is....

" Why does someone who is an average gym rat - not an elite athlete, not a bodybuilder or cover model, not someone who is morbidly obese - have to resort to an " an extreme diet " ?

The average "gym" rat who is looking to lose a couple % off his body fat doesn't need to, but if someone is having trouble getting under 10% BF then i could see their reasoning for this difficult diet. Just like someone who is struggling to get under 10 would try Keto, or someone trying to gain mass and lose bf would try the anabolic diet..both which are called "extreme by others.

You don't have to use the V-diet, its just 10x harder, but 10x faster.

Exactly!!!

Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!

An extreme fix that completely ignores micro-nutrients for a whole 28 days. That's quite a system shock, regardless whether or not it works.

I'd love to see the level of potentially harmful oxidation occurring in an individual's body on the 28th day of v-diet compared to that of a person who has been eating complete and balanced meals at comparable caloric levels.

I know that it doesn't mean anyone could be internally irreparably harmed by it, but it's something to consider.

Yeah I don't think I'm going to do it. I'll just stick with what I've been doing. Is a 5.3% drop in bodyfat in 3.5 months good? How can I make it faster while still being safe? More cardio maybe?

What are you talking about? You'd be getting more than enough protein and healthy fats, including carbs on the V-diet.

If your diet is in place and working (and it seems like it is), then you best bet is to increase the volume of your training, both cardio and resistance.

Depending on the level of increase, you may have to increase your caloric intake a little bit so that your deficit is not so large that your body tries to horde calories as fat (generally around a deficit size of greater than 400-500 calories).

thanks I'll try to step it up on the activity a bit. My goal right now is to be 13% by may.
