Is anyone interested in a Valentines Day Challenge? We did it last year and I lost nine pounds from January to before Valentines Day.

Just give a shout out if you are?

How's it work? The most weight lost by then, or what?

Hey guys,
Well I looked up the old one ... Korrie did it last time, she set it up.

Its almost like a monthly challenge. Just a group thing ...

Mal had said last time to wait until The end of the first week of January I believe, because of the flood of peeps that are going to join in that week, u know. And I believe she was correct. Be patient with me. I have never ever set up a challenge before and Cant seem to find the whole start up page to the old Valentines Day challenge. Tempted to write Korrie.

Anyway what it was ...

Well first of all, you have to join before the end of the first week of January.

I didnt get it, I believe peeps can start up whenever. Its a great challenge.

and it finishes on Valentines Day and starts, how about January seventh. Thats a Thursday. Unless someone feels we should start the eigth, because its a Friday?

Any ideas?

I need to figure this out. I am going to send a message to Korrie.

Valentines day is on a Sunday next year :)

So, the weigh in dates could look like:

3rd Jan
10th
17th
24th
31st
7th Feb
14th Feb

This makes a 7week challenge...maybe start from the 10th? Unless you want to pick a weigh in day other that sunday...
(I think Korrie is pretty busy atm)

Yea that would work. Starting on the tenth....

I have never set up a challenge...

so thanks for the advice Lozza...
Thanks so much ... I was afraid I was going to disappoint everyone.... I know ...silly ...but thats me ...

but thanks

Ok everyone, what do you think about Lozza's idea and what do you think about what I tried to set up. I am kind of scared of your opinion. I have never set up a challenge. It is to see who loses the most weight, plus supporting each other. I just know that I lost alot of weight over this challenge last year. It was a good challenge and I really shocked myself. ... I was dumbfoundded .. never thought I could lose that much weight in so little time. I just dont do that, usually I am lucky if I lose four pounds per month... and suddenly I had lost nine. So I am thinking a group support, inspirational thing, helping each other out and kudos to us all for doing it, and kudos to the person who loses the most. Edit my thing please. I havent been in a challenge for ages ..ugh

thanks ...
help me out here ..please ..thanks in advance

Np :)
Probably should do it on % lost though, rather than amount lost to make it fair for everyone (other wise people with more weight to lose will do better than someone nearer to their goal). To work out %, its (Total Pounds Lost / Start weight) x 100 = Answer.
So if my start weight is 157.3 and i lose 10lbs then its (10/157.3) * 100 = 6.36%. But if a person who is heavier that me lost that amount (lets say they weighed 250) its (10/250) * 100 = 4%. The lighter person did a better job.

Soo...everyone who wants to participate, copy and paste this table I guess, starting on the 10th?

Starting weight=
Goal weight=

Week 1: 10th Jan ____
Week 2: 17th Jan ____
Week 3: Jan 24th ____
Week 4: Jan 31st ____
Week 5: Feb 7th ______
Week 6: February 14th! Happy Valentines Day!!! _____

End weight: ______
% Lost: ______ ((Total Pounds Lost / Start weight) x 100 = Answer.)

Of course you can alter the dates if you don't want to weigh in on Sundays :)

Yay, looks like the contest is coming together! I might decide to use my Friday weigh-ins, but I'm not sure yet so I will keep the original layout :)

Starting weight=
Goal weight= 299lbs.

Week 1: 10th Jan ____
Week 2: 17th Jan ____
Week 3: Jan 24th ____
Week 4: Jan 31st ____
Week 5: Feb 7th ______
Week 6: February 14th! Happy Valentines Day!!! _____

End weight: ______
% Lost: ______ ((Total Pounds Lost / Start weight) x 100 = Answer.)
