Bad news. It was 'no diet day' and I ate too much freakin' food. I ate almost 2400 calories. *shock* *shame* I didn't realize that the burger was 1400 freakin' calories....if I had known!!! Holy Crap!!! HOLY CRAP!!!

Oh have I ever been there! I found out all-too-late that the trail mix I was munching on was 800 calories a cup. Oops....

Darl we all have days when we dont do so well but there is always tomorrow. :)
You will be ok, just think of it as a motabalisim boost ;)

Well, I'm joining like a week late, but I'm totally in.

I'm 21, currently weigh 210, and I think that a decent goal for this challenge is getting down to 190. Ideally, I'd like to freakin' blow that out of the water and get down to 180 by Christmas, but I'm going to put 20 and hope for the best. And of course, work out for the best.

Good luck to everyone and we can do it! And some serious kudos to those of you who've set a 40 lb goal! That's intense and I really hope that you guys make it!

Only One Pound

Hello! Do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat.
And I am the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
(As if that were such a terrible thing)
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days!!!
After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

Welp.. I weighed in today and come to find out that I lost another pound.. yay :D

I was afraid that I wasn't going to lose anything weight-wise but I did. WOOHOO!

The fluctuation in weight in driving me crazy though.
I weighed in right after I woke up and it read 222 (like last week).. I just didn't feel that was right so I weighed again after I did my workouts and it read 223.
I'm sure if I read it now it'd probably read 225 or something

Anyways... it's annoying but so long as it keeps going down it's all good :)

Amunet: Take the first reading you get in the morning and stick with it. Our weight fluctuates (sp) so much throughout the day that the morning weigh in is the most accurate. So you are at 222.

I'm still at 179.5. I swear I'm never going to get passed it. It feels like it's been forever. My body is disobeying the rules of dieting--10 pounds a month! I should be at 175! I'll get there eventually I suppose.

Hi I just returned from my two trips. One was a business trip for three days and the other was to FL for my brother's wedding. I am happy to report that I did not gain any weight but also did not lose any. I am hoping for a good week this week. Plenty of water and workouts planned.

Amunet~ YAY!!!!! One pound loss! Keep going and you'll get there. Stay Positive!

Kaitie~Think Positive. You'll get pass 179. You good at loosing them pounds. Hang in there.

Gcohl~ Have a AWESOME week. This will be your week to lose:D

Ya'll have a GREAT one and drink your WATER!!! Gotta do my Billy Blanks dvd.

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!

I did okay this weekend. Not the best, not the worst. So, I figured there was no way I'd reach my goal of loosing five pounds on Monday. Still, I woke up and thought might as well weigh in like I told everyone I would. And, I weighted 264.6 pounds! My beginning weight was 269.4, so I was only .2 off from loosing the total five! I am so happy! I know I was a little short, but it was only .2 pounds! So, my goal for next monday is to loose 5.2 pounds :D
Oh, by the way, I know I can't keep up five pounds forever, but I always seem to loose weight way faster in the beginning, that is why my goal is so high. I am going to decrease it after this monday to 4 pounds because I don't want to loose it too fast.

I am so excited. If all goes well next monday I will be below the 260 mark! :p

hopeful

I am glad to find this challenge focused on such a hopeful time of year, perfect. A little about me. I am soon to be a first time grandmom and want to last a good long time so am determined to make a go at this weight loss.

Wow! You took trips and didn't gain! I'm majorly impressed!

Thanks! It did help that when I was in Florida my dad was also on a diet so my mom didn't have a bunch of junk food in the house. Plus I think all the dancing at my brother's wedding did a lot of good. My niece and nephew are great dancers and they never let you take a break.

Well, I am not to sure how well I survived Thankgiving (Canada). So far the scale has stayed the same, but I am a little worried with all the holiday parties that are coming up.

I was so pumped about getting my treadmill set up but now I realize I need new runners. My knees are killing me.:( Hopefully I can get them in the next few weeks and get back on track.

Mechelle, thanks for posting a pic! It's so nice to put faces to names...although you're not how I pictured you (everyone I know with your name has dark hair:rolleyes: ) :D

Welcome Butternut! What a nice reason for you to join us! Congrats on the grandbaby coming!

2BFit- way to go not gaining over Thanksgiving! I had trouble too, but I didn't gain either!

Elegance- Woo hoo!
