Hack squats are weird. I would rather just turn around and deadlift.

I'm really not keen on them but I'll stick with them for this program, a bit of variety is always good, gets me out of the comfort zone too

I’m finding the high rep stuff really weird to do, I’m not used to doing half the reps with little effort. Hopefully this will help with my lifting stamina though
 
I can't wait to stop the diet now, I really want to get eating again and start the strength gain. I know I haven't done the weight loss thing properly yet so I'm gonna keep at it for now
 
I had to miss training today to buy my girlfriends Christmas present, I bought her a Chloe clutch bag and now I feel sick and dizzy. I honestly do; I’m gonna have to give up eating for the next month to pay for that
 
I'm glad to see you're liking the program. Your body will adjust the increase in volume. The people that are using the program are all seeing improvements in their lifts. I'm following the Boring But Big version.
 
I'm just back from a long weekend for a 70th birthday party and I must have undone about a months worth of dieting and healthy eating. Hopefully it'll leave me with a lot of energy for training today though
 
My father-in-law decided to save money on my Christmas presents this year by adding notes to my Christmas list.
Below ‘Education of a bodybuilder’ he wrote ‘pick things up, put things down’ and under ‘New rules of lifting’ he put ‘lift heavy things’

Nah, I’ll still be in work and probably doing some light cardio/ active recovery work as Tuesday’s are rest days for me now.

I’m not too worried about it officially being my birthday tomorrow as my sister is looking after my daughter on Wednesday afternoon so as soon as my little boy goes to sleep will be when my birthday properly starts. I’ve made my girlfriend aware that she’ll need an ice pack to sit down for the rest of the week after Wednesday night and she’s OK with that ;)

My birthday today, and it’s really hitting home just how crappy birthdays get as you get older. I only asked for one thing and of course that got screwed up big time, I got a gift card for a UK retailer so I can go buy the Twin Peaks season 2 box set when I told people over and over that it can’t be purchased in the UK; DOH! It’s not like people don’t have the internet!

Anyway, I’m now wondering what I have in store at Christmas. I’m aware already that ‘Atomic Dog’ by TC has been screwed up as my inlaws couldn’t find it despite me giving them the T-Nation website (they only looked on Amazon). Now I only have Education Of A Bodybuilder and The New Rules Of Lifting left; which are also the only things I asked for last year but didn’t get

It sucks being an adult sometimes

lol. I give direct links now to what I want, so it leaves nothing to chance. On my birthday it worked beautifully as I got the e-book, dvd, and laptop table I wanted.

For Christmas I am looking at kettlebells and some internet marketing stuff (which I havent decided upon).
 
I trained today as I’m off tomorrow for my daughters Christmas play, there was no cross-over with the muscle groups used so hopefully it’s not such a problem doing them on back-to-back days as a one off

The order of lifts on this routine is probably pretty important and having to change the order screwed things up a little but hopefully it’s still helping me progress.
 
My birthday evening was a big screw up, almost the second I got home my girlfriend’s sister called as she had a baby sitting emergency and had her 18 month old son in her stock room at work and couldn’t leave as one of her girls wasn’t turning up for work. That meant we had to drive to where Laura’s sister works and look after the kid. We didn’t get home until 10pm and after getting the kids settled in bed it was nearer 11. That resulted in me getting far less of a birthday present from my girlfriend than I was expecting. I’m seriously pissed off at that; especially as I didn’t even get an apology that bitch of a sister. The least she could have done was take me in the back of the stock room and give me the present I was owed! :love2:

As a result, the ice pack and crutches weren’t needed, just some painkillers and rest :D
