More like anorexia nervosa...

haha pfft....

Anyway, im back bfrom camp and the thing mum said to me before bed was 'Uve lost weight at camp, especially in ur face'. I think i have too, i checked myself on the scales in the morning after i took a wizz and i was 44kg..thats 97 lbs :( I think i have lost abit of muscle too, thats prob coz i didnt work out at all.

I dont know how i lost the weight, i mean looking at my calories i ate as much as i usually do, except for breakfast, where i ate much more than i did usually! I had quite a few bars (like protein bars and stuff when we had high fatty greesy foods) which were alright.

I found out that i definately am alergic to lactose because i had soy milk on camp and i didnt bloat or feel off at all. So now ive got soy milk in the fridge :)

Well about camp itself, it was good. We stayed in tents but the weather was pretty **** because it was soo bloody cold some days my fingers literally went numb and my lips went purple...AND it was wet! But it was good because there were no camp leaders and we got to do what ever we wanted.

Anyway, weve got the day off today which means a long weekend, and i think that on sat and sun ill go to the gym.

I looked abit on teen nutrition and it says we should be having lots of iron. I started taking iron deficiency tablets coz i did have an iron deficiency but i dont think they contain real iron, just a subsitiute. Would it be ok if i had lean beef or steak? Or would sticking to red lentils be ok? Which ones better?

Oh one thing, what do you think...I had really high fiber cereal today with soy milk and i am getting really bad gas it it really stinks! lol Do you think its the soy milk having this effect or the fiber?
If its the soy milk do you think i should go back to cows milk even though im lactose intolerent? Or will my body adjust to the soy?

Thanx

Soy makes many people gassy. You'll probably adjust to it, but expect yourself to be farting for a long while. I am slightly lactose intolerant, but I drink both and interchange them for whatever reason.

You might have lost water weight. It's not very likely you lost pounds of muscle just because you didn't work out for a week. You might have also just gotten a tan. Skin tone has a lot to do with appearance...but again, your diet is really pathetic in terms of calorie intake. If you're coming off a "bulking" cycle, you probably lost much of what you gained.

Yes, red meat will do just fine. Just eat something.

Thanx...lol

Well then Mr Smarty Pants, what should i have in terms of calories? Example, what foods should i be having that im not to boost my calories?

P.S. - Im only joking around

K thanx, worked it out.

For my PWO shake, i have 18g of whey protein concerntrate (thats 18g protein, but 24g powder). This has like no sugar and doesnt have any amino acids in it.

I was wondering, if i add 1 tspn of dextrose to my shake will that make the protein get absorbed quicker even though is concerntrate? or am i better off just sticking with soy milk and protein powder?

Or could a banana do the same thing? I'm talking like 1/2 of a banana because they have a very strong taste.

Let me just get this straight, the idea of a PWO shake is to have a fair few simple carbs so your body can absorb the protein faster? right?

Thanx :D

~I just had 1 teaspoon of unsweetened coco powder with some skim milk and splenda (before bed). Is this ok to have? I mean its not bad for me, is it? Are there any real benefits of coco? I feel fat because i ate it, prob because it tastes like chocolate, and thats fattening.~

dude you weigh 97 lbs stop worying so much :-s

im gaining weight and my shirts are hugging me like crazy and it feels great! try it sometime :-o

Wooo, tonight i just had a very big meal...yet ive still got hunger pains  how strange, must just be the phase where teens can eat and eat and eat...

Well first off i made myself a spinach souffle (i love to cook). I used this handy litte recipe here, but instead of using corn starch as the mixture sort of thing i put in weight watchers extra lean minced beef. If anyone is looking for abit of a complicated but healthy and great recipe, i strongly recomend this, it was great!

Then to top it off, my dad made some pretty healthy spag bowl, and i ate a fair bit of the sauce (only unhealthy thing is the olive oil and maybe the sugar from some of the canned tomatos). This was made with the same beef as the souffle. I am also going to have that sauce on some whole wheat bread for lunch tomorrow.

I dont think an iron deficiency will be much of a problem anymore after a few sandwiches of this!

I just hope i didnt eat too much, heck of alot of calories ive had today!

Well that's it...

LOL well I'd start with 3000 cals and work from there.

As for foods, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, deer, fish, squid (and other various cephalopods), various crustaceans, brown rice, whole wheat bread, sandwiches, lettuce, carrots, almonds, walnuts, oats, eggs, broccoli, bok choy, mustard greens, cabbage, apples, nectarines, plums, strawberries, cherries, chocolate, oranges, duck, etc...just to name a few.

I'm serious, here. Your last post sounded like you're on the right track. Eat and eat and eat.

But for the "still getting hunger pangs" part, it could be your stomach expanding for the food. It's a weird feeling. Like if you eat a ton of pasta and then sit around for a bit, you'll feel hungry. But when you wait about 30 minutes later, you'll be ready to explode. Lol.

;) haha, thanx. I cant wait till easter...im gonna eat lots of chocolate. But for healths sake, i think ill stick with low fat chocolate :)

Ive just noticed, when i gain abit of fat, i can lose it almost as easily as i gained it. Say i lost definition in my abs because i ate to much junk one day. The next 2 days all i have to do is eat 100% clean and do cardio both days and its back to normal :D

Noo, but its not. U know that meal that i said above, since i sat there scooping the meat out of the pot for about 10 minutes (thats a hell of alot of bolonaise sauce) in the morning i had lost definition, clearly!

I made soy flour pancakes tonight so im not having too many carbs before bed, they are really bad at staying in tack, they fall apart and take ages to cook. Nothing beats the real pancakes made with wheat flour! mmmmmm

Ive got a question for anyone who knows this. If i were to buy flavourless whey protein powder, and i added it to my cooking, would it taste any different? Because i mean plain whey has got to have some taste.

No it won't change the flavor. Stop worrying about your abs and gain some weight. Don't worry about skipping carbs...just eat.

Perhaps you were bloating from all the salt... canned vegetables and sauces have a lot of sodium, I think it's used as a preservative.

Drink some extra water and see if that helps to flush out your system.

;) thanks
