The Tattooed Lady

Have to skip the homemade taco seasoning because the little plastic jar broke for the cumin... I squeezed it to hard... I will keep the recipe around for the next time I need to make it. Luckily I have package seasoning on hand for a situation just like this one.

Supper was good, little spicy, but still good. Unfortunately Ash couldn't eat it because it was spicy so she ended up eating cereal. The mexican rice is defintely better than a box, but things made from scratch is better than a box. If there is any leftovers again, it would be for the insides of tortillas. Do have a recipe to make homemade tortillas...:D

I will admit that the strawberries last night before bed was because I thought I was hungry for them, but they didn't do the trick. I didn't know if the chicken gave me hearburn or if I was hungry. On the upside....I drank water all night long, starting w/supper. OMG...there might be hope for me yet...:D

Too spicy? What salsa did you use? I use mild when first starting out then experiment with hotter versions in later editions.

Today was good food wise. Supper was salisbury steak w/macroni and cheese. I passed on it to have a shaved ham pita sandwich w/multigrain chips. I know processed foods are not good, but I thought it would be better. Needless to say didn't quite get my carbs down to 50% or below, but maybe the strawberries didn't help either. On the upside I drank water w/supper again tonight.

Another week w/out any weight loss or gain. Either I'm doing something wrong or the scales are wrong...but we know not to trust the evil scale...:D

Today I was very busy around the house. I did and hung 5 loads of laundry, put of Ash's winter stuff and brought out the rest of her summer stuff. I need to put away the clothes laying on our bed and change the sheets. Went to two different grocery stores to get stuff for supper thru the week. Went to DG to get few things. Thinking I might have to go back, but I'll wait and see. Tomorrow I have one possibly two more loads of laundry to do and who knows what else. Didn't sit down very much which is a good thing on my part.

Think I did pretty good on food today. I need to make either tuna salad, chicken salad or egg salad to put in my pitas once my ham slices are gone. Not sure yet which one to make, but I like my pitas. Supper is Not Quite Philly Cheesesteak Skillet Pasta Recipe | Recipezaar and Old Bay Steak Fries Recipe | Recipezaar

Yesterday was my planned cheat day so my numbers aren't looking good. Supper was good. The fries were spicy...:D Didn't know how much heat Old Bay seasoning has. Next time I'll use less, but it was good as the recipe called for.

Didn't even notice until you said something. I'm just happy that the bread turned out, even if you have to warm it up it in the microwave to melt the butter.

I know but by the time I'll get around to eat it..it'll be cold and will have to warm it up in the microwave, minus the butter. I tried it with little butter this morning and it was the bomb. Can't wait to have more of it.
