The Tattooed Lady

dang - you're really good at trying new recipes... Most times I save them and don't use them. The turkey chili was the exception - good on ya for that.

It was soooo good. I will defintely eat it again. I like to try new things but Greene is iffy when he comes to trying new food because
I'm 40, I like the same old food. Expermentating in not my thing. For every 10 you try, there's one you'll actually like and 9 you hate.

OMG!!!!! Yesterday's lunch put me way over on my calories and the hershey's bar didn't help either. Guesstimating calories, lunch was 1245 calories:eek:  Now I know why meatloaf, mashed potatos, corn, gravy and peaches are soooooo good.

I'm ok now, just had a freak out moment there.

Edit: 4oz of chicken is 125 calories...now we know

Today was spose to be workout, but quite didn't make it. Ended up doing three loads of laundry instead. Did cardio twice. Played tennis with Greene, Kegan, Ash and Kegan's friend. Started out singles but ended up playing doubles at the end. Played for over an hour. Greene, Kegan, Ash and I went out for skating. The three of them went for a long skate and I went to the park and jammed. We met up later so the two of them could skate alone. Ended up skating another hour. Had to get my legs back for it. It's been awhile since I skated. All of my time went to tennis, so it was good to skate again.

Food:

Breakfast - 1 pancake w/no syrup (174 calories), 1/2 tbsp butter (30 calories), 2 sausage patties (200 calories), 1 banana (100 calories), milk (120 calories) = 624

Lunch - 1/2 cup pork and beans (140 calories), 1 hotdog (150 calories), potato (150 calories), 1/2 tbsp butter (30 calories) = 470

Snack - 1/2 c cottage cheese (130 calories), 2 boiled eggs (156 calories) = 286

Supper - 1 c chicken (125 calories), 1 toritllia (50 calories), 1/4 c cheese (110 calories) = 285

Grand total = 1665
435 calories to spare, not sure if I want a snack or not

Ok, so today was little better, but not like it could be.

Edit: Banana popsicle - 100 calories
335 to spare

Except following that logic, we'd all still be eating baby food...

I admit that I still eat baby food--I like the taste! I prefer the 2nd foods, not anything harder to chew though I have good teeth (well, until I get the wisdom teeth pulled in Aug.)!! My favorite is the Gerber dutch apple crisp--it's sooo good, it tastes like someone just dropped apple crisp in the blender. Though I expect scorn and disgust for this comment :p , I think it's a nice lite dessert with some vitamins.

And yes, my family/boyfriend are totally disgusted by the habit!

I defintely will have to try that. They have some good deserts. I honestly never thought about it until you mentioned something. Thanks for the tip.:D

Just wanted to say keep up the good work, and alot of us appreciate your positive attitude. Thats the kind of attitude that you need to break through these goals so you have the hardest part down already:)

I'm surprised I'm not! I also don't like to try too many new things. If it has a lot of things in it I don't like already, I won't bother with it. Same ol same ol crap for me. LOL But the baby food thing...interesting....

In all my years of being on forums of various kinds, I have to say this is one of the most disturbing posts I've ever read - well done! lol

Next time I go to the store, I'll have to pick up a thing of dutch apple crisp and maybe another dessert.

Thank you so much. I try to stay positive about this. We all have good days and bad days. We all need to vent and this is a good place to do it. We all help each other out. I said it before and I'll say it again and again and again...tomorrow is another day. Nobody is perfect and we all fall down. Just get up and try it again. You'll eventually get there. It takes alot of falling down to get the to the goal that you want to achieve. It takes some people longer to reach it than other people, but in the end, we all get there together in one form or another.

Another protein bar receipe (maybe this time they won't be balls, but you never know). Actually they are for bulking, but I'll eat them as a snack or pre-workout snack.

Ingredients:
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter (it called for natural, but I didn't use it)
1 cup milk
4 scoops protein powder
dash of cinnamon

Mix until sticky batter is formed. Spoon mixture into the bottom of pam sprayed glass or metal cooking tray.Top with 4-8 packets of splenda (I used the pink stuff). Put in fridge overnight and cut.

Will have all the stats for you tomorrow.

wow im gonna try that protein bar recipe...i have all the ingredients except oatmeal. Im excited now haha. You seem like your doing well. Keep up the good work and i agree that you bring such a positive motivating attitude to this forum...never leave us! :D
