UGH! I hate bologna !!!

You don't know what you're missing. It's so good, but I couldn't tell you the last time I ate it.

Mary, when Greene was growing up, it was bologna and cheese and he got sick of it. He thought you couldn't have anything w/out cheese on it. I don't think he's ever liked cheese.

I didn't know until I was a teenager that I actally liked bologna. Mom and dad would buy it and colby cheese sliced down at the store. They could not imagine that anyone would not like cheese either. I don't hate all cheese, only cheese that tastes like cheese. I like mozzeralla and some genuine imitation cheeses.

I can also pretty much tell ya that if you ever tour a plant where that make the stuff you won't eat it anymore no matter how much you like the taste. :D

P.S. I also hate most fish, my motto is that if it swims I probalby won't eat it. I will only eat the alleged fish from Long John's, I think that's because they kill the fish taste with the grease. :D

I ended up getting my workout in tonight and went to the park and played tennis. Greene hurt is shoulder, but he's not sure what he did. You'd have to ask him.

Workout:

AP
40x12
59x6
79x3 up from 2

LPD
59x10
59x10 couldn't get 11
59x12 surprised myself

UR
49x11
49x6
49x7

Food

Breakfast - 1 boiled egg (78 calories), oatmeal (120 calories) = 198

Lunch - *sloppy joe sandwich (450 calories???), 3/4 c veg (30 calories), 1/2 c green beans (25 calories), banana cream frozen popsicle (100 calories) = 605

Supper - *porkchop w/cheese (484 calories), 1/4 c corn (53 calories) = 537

Snack - protein ball = 85

Grand total = between 1400-1600

*There's times I hate trying to count my calories because you can't get an accurate count because you have to mix indegridents (like the sloppy joe). It's easier if it's pre-packed. Greene is not counting his calories, so he forgets about me and gets his food before I could measure, but hopefully my guessestimations are close.

ha!

Greene only hates the cheese that tastes like CHEESE !!!!!! LMFAO!!! :)

that's hilarious! lol

I HATE counting my calories too . blah.

I HATE counting my calories too . blah.

It's not that I hate it. I just wish it was easier sometimes. Basic foods are easy, multiple ingrediants are a b@@@@@. There needs to be a easier way for it.

Hmm apart from not counting them, I don't think that's possible. I generally try to eat healthy stuff and keep tabs on how satiated I get. There's a point you get to when you know enough's enough.

haha welli think cheese is a gift from the heavens :p haha sry im a dork.

i used to be a huge calorie counter and it took up all my thinking and all my time. I actually felt trapped. It works for some but i got too obsessed with it. Now i know i eat healthy and i feel good so i dont really count anything. When i go over,...i just know....and i ALSO know that tomarrow is a new day and going over your calorie limit once and a while isnt going to make you gain a ton of weight...its just life.

Calorie counting was something the teacher had the class do for PE when I was at Vincennes University. It is more of a way to get someone to realize the caloric content of different foods, their own caloric needs and what they are actually taking in. I would not expect anyone to do for more than a month at the most. After that you should have developed a pretty good feel for foods and your intake. You might want to do a few days after that to keep yourself refreshed.

tomarrow is a new day

You stole my line...lol. I should put that as my signature. I don't feel trapped and I don't think I'm obessed with it. For me it's easier in a way because I know how much a serving is of food and to be honest, I'm full just eating a certain serving. I used to think that I had to have a huge plate and seconds to be full. Boy was I wrong.

No workout today. Went with Greene to clean one of his mom's rental houses so she can rent it again. That was my workout. I did treat myself to a naughty lunch and snack, so now I'm gonna have to be careful at supper and the weekend. Tomorrow is another day, so I'm not gonna sweat it that much.

As for cleaning, OMG. I have never cleaned that much in my whole life. I guess it wasn't one of the worst houses, but it was close. We had to even wipe of the walls:eek:

haha good job on the cleaning! thats such a great calorie burner :) and yea thats great that you can count calories and not become too obsessed with it. Thats why i believe it works for some and not for others :)

speaking of cleaning...my closet looks like a tornado went through it GRRRR wanna come over and clean it for me? hahaha jk jk

One of the worst houses I cleaned looked like the walls were moving from the cock roaches and I had to use a screwdriver to scape the toilets clean. It was one of the nastiest things I have ever seen in my life. I actually believe they had been peeing in one of the furnace registers. If you get into the rental business be ready for anything. If you don't have a strong back and a strong stomach then don't even consider it.

Food:

Today was a naughty day, so I'm probably over my calories. Lunch and dinner I can't get the calories for, so  I wanna scream.

Breakfast - milk (120 calories), oatmeal (120 calories), boiled egg (85 calories) = 325

Snack - protein ball (85 calories), 1/4 c raisins (130 calories) = 215

Lunch - meatloaf, mashed potatos, gravy, corn, peaches = ??????

Snack - 7 blocks hersey chocolate w/almonds = 240

Supper - 1 chicken strip (?????), 2/3 c peas (70 calories), 1/2 potato (150 calories) = 220

Snack - 1/2 banana (50 calories), 1 tbsp peanut butter (90 calories), 1 tortillia (50 calories) = 190

Grand Total = 1190-2100

I hear you on not knowing the calories for some things! might help--they have a lot of reaturant stuff, too. However, it seems like they're missing some things that I would think were common things:( . I know I have tyson buffalo or plain chicken strips every once in a while b/c they're very crispy when broiled (almost like a restaurant--the best non-fried chicken strips I've ever had!) and their are actually nutrition facts on the back! Hallelujah, then I can actually calculate things! :)

Made them 6/17, which made 24 and there is 4 left. I would say almost a week, which isn't too bad.
