and i sprint to work and back everyday, which is 70 miles

don't even step kiD

wut the heck is hxc?

Wrestlers take a garbage bag, cut a head-sized hole in the bottom of it, then slip the top of it over their head and onto their shoulders, like a t-shirt. Their head sticks out the hole they cut. Then they run, and because of the garbage bag, they sweat a lot and lose a lot of water weight.

The high school I go to banned that a long, long time ago.

To the original poster:

You're going to die.

I doubt telling this guy that what he did was unhealthy and that he's going do die, would do anything positive. It worked, and he didn't die, obviously.

However, like most people, they don't know when to quit. It's a gambler's addiction. It worked at one point; you got lucky. You continue doing this, and you're bound to have problems. Maybe not today, maybe not 10 years from now, but someday it's going to catch up to you. Will it be worth it? You decide, 08.

2bBuff, my idea is just to cut the weight, then when I am lean enough I can begin my bulking. It only takes me around 3 months to drop 40 lbs within reason nowadays, compared to drastic weightloss when wrestling (although to most 40 lbs is considered drastic in 3 months). With alot of resistance training and full body workouts like dead lifts, pullups, pushups I trim down without sacrificing ALOT of muscle, obviously some is lost.

While cutting almost each calorie is protein, with ANY fats I consume (bananas, low sodium beef jerky) are consumed in the morning. The rest is simple/complex carbs that correspond with time of day.

HUGE problem with this mentality. If you are thinking like this you should just go and have the fat sucked out of you... it would be quicker and possibly less detrimental than starving critical organs throughout your body.

The bigger PROBLEM here is that you are not developing a healthy LIFESTYLE CHANGE, making it significantly more likely that you are going to be unable to stick to a proper diet after you have cut like this. Better to do it the right way the first time and maintain that than to have to come back and revisit this diet later in life.

Excellent sig Dallen.

common sense in this world seems to be running low...
I almost started writing out a long, detailed response; however, I was reminded that - Against logic there is no armor like ignorance.

Please, grace this thread with your thoughts, Trevor. I would enjoy reading it, and would appreciate the time.

Grace? Haha - oh thats funny...

I would entertain your brain, Chillen. But, I don't much have the time right now. I'm leaving for the gym in a couple hours and have lots to do before hand.

However, anything said here is just falling on deaf ears...Think for a minute of phate89's signature; Experience > science...

This person has had good experience with what is completely the opposite of what good performance and health is built on.

No matter how much "science" or "common sense" we pound his way very little if anything will get through. Why? Because his "experience" with what he did was "good" in his own eyes.

This is why I bring Laurence J. Peter's quote into play. As no amount of arguing or debating will sway the ignorant mind. Especially, ignorance that is based on "experience".

I like the way you think.

illniphase4, I know what you're saying...I would never get fat sucked from me though, and me not eating for a wrestling season is hardly a lifestyle change.

Chillen, my greatness is based more on combat, and less in my 6 pack, I know where you're comin from though and you seem like a good ass dude. Thanks for the input..

Kraken, **** your girl so I wont have to.

Not to mention, why did this thread get all jacked up? The last thing Im worried about is a garbage bag killing me...this was originally about a half-assed diet I battled through in high school, and I was asking why it worked, and I got "0mg unh3althy pwnz0r, dying is 4u!1LOL>"

and trevor just because you have to count calories, go tanning, flex in the mirror and buy your boyfriend new hair gel every week doesnt mean what I did 3 years ago for like 4 months didnt work, not like Im going to do it again. Read the thread before throwing Laurence J Peter quotes at me, sir.

Unless I missed it within the thread, I didnt see your "current" plans and objectves within diet and fitness.

1. What is your current diet structure (calories, fat, carbs, and protein?)

What is your MT Line? Do you know how to determine it?

2. What is your current fitness routine?

Best regards,

Chillen

Yawn...If only I actually gave a damn what you think. Then, maybe, I would care enough to respond to that...but...I just don't. So say whatever you want sweetheart!

I pretty much eat what I want, I cut some weight the past few weeks and lost about 13 lbs, so the temporary 900 cal/day diet worked. It was based solely on whey protein, milled flax seeds, an anti-catabolic supplement, and carnitin; egg whites were really my only source of solid food. But still, 13 lbs is 13 lbs.

My job requires me to walk at a fast pace from about 630am to 400pm, so Im usually low on energy considering making protein shakes in the field would be a major main in the balls. So I just eat a small breakfast in the morning and eat when I get home before I go to the gym.

Monday-Friday; 1 mile run, full body workouts Mon, Wed, Fri..isolated workouts Tuesday Thursday. A good amount of my cardio is performed at work, which includes Saturdays. I've only heard of MT as a paradigm shift in nutrition, so Im not sure.
