Weight-Loss The May Weight Loss Challenge

Weight-Loss
I think that if you are going to be charging admission that the entertainment should get a cut...I charge very reasonable rates and accept all manner of payment... ;)

*ahem* Why else would I have suggested it? For real - I have a wedding to pay for. lol

I will have to throw the scale out the window where it may hit someone on the head and then I will get sued, and I can't represent myself since I only do matrimonial law, i'll go to jail...blah blah blah...you get the point :D

Defense litigation here! We'll take you!!

Hey, how come I don't get whips and handcuffs???? Was it something I said??? :D

*walks off scratching my head in search of my own whip and handcuffs*

No, no, no! It's much better to be the dominant one. *sigh* But if you insist . . . I'll lend you mine. :D:D

You are more than welcome 4ever! Just ignore all the crazyness floating around in here.

Thank You
I' am glad I joined, it's really great here. Were all a little crazy sometimes hehe

I know. I am just not sure if the boys truly understand what we bring to this thread :) Appropriate compensation will be required.

Do I need to commit this crime in Kentucky??? Just so I know whether or not I need to cross state lines :)

Monday Weigh In

Monday is here, and I'm excited about my morning weigh in.

May 1: 229.8
May 5: 224.6
May 12: 221.8

Ah, the Monday after three consecutive days of drinking/eating out at least once per day. Fortunately the number is still good (read: negative) but not as good as I had aimed for at the beginning of last week. Though when I set that goal last week I forgot about 2 of the 3 dillies so all in all, not too shabby.

As for my goal for the month, I'm shooting for under 190 by June 1. Just under half way through the month and I'm just over half way there so it's attainable and that makes me feel good.

May 1: 201.5
May 5 : 199.1
May 12: 196.1
May 19:
May 26:
June 1:

Lost: 5.4 lbs

Nice work Trops and cocacola... both impressive losses last week. Good luck in the coming week to all.

For the record I have walked 117 miles so far in May and am forbidden from doing more strenuous exercise after recent surgery. I am trying my best!

Margaret

Thanks, littlekeylime. Things have been going pretty well weight-wise this month... so far.

Margaret, 117 miles? Almost 10 miles per day? Holy shit. That's nuts. As for the pre-TOM climb, I guess I should count my blessings to not have to account for that particular physical state. :D How much weight does that usually put on for you?

Ok I have upped my game and am seeing some rewards, albeit small, when compared to the rest of you :)

5/3 - 185
5/9 - 183.2
5/12 - 182

Three pounds in nine days is HUGE for me :)

117 miles in May, that's amazing. I don't want to drive that far. let alone walk.

Way to go, D-Fish. Three pounds in a week after a weekend of partying. I have a couple of those weekends coming up at the end of this month, so I know that I'll be going up then.

Congrats, Ali. Nothing like some friendly competition to up one's game, eh?

You got that right! I can't stand being beaten, although from the looks of things that may very well be the case. I'm ok w/it :D not a bad group to lose to if you ask me...

OK, first things first: CONGRATS TO TROPS, FISH, AND ALI for the great job! Fish and Trops, you have totally kicked my ass. Not sure why I am happy about that but I am ~ so proud of all you guys! :hurray:

I have noticed others that have had a loss as well (my short term memory only allows me to remember a few at a time, lol) and I want to say congrats to all of you for the hard work you're putting forth and for the dedication to your goals. This is not an easy journey and the fact that you are sticking with it - and succeeding - says something wonderful about your character.

Now, on a personal note:

Do I need to commit this crime in Kentucky??? Just so I know whether or not I need to cross state lines :)

Probably. At least I'll be close enough to post your bail and get you out ASAP. There's a plus. :D

Do lend me yours, though I have someone in mind who may appreciate it :D :D :D

K. I'll FedEx it. (lol, imagine the look on Tom Hanks' face if he'd opened that on that island! :smilielol5:)

Thanks Fish and Trops - I do walk more than most. I used to walk further before the surgery - I'm still going slower than normal.

It is quite normal for me to gain 3 to 4 pounds or so and stay up there spending 12 to 14 days trying to get back to my pre-TOM low. Thankfully it is all water retention so I can burn fat just the same (keeping on walking and firm control of the food) but the scale doesnt know it. Then I get all my weightloss over the next 2 weeks before it all goes up again.

I keep my sodium low and always drink my full allocation of water and this is as good as I can make it.

Men can thank their lucky stars - it took me a while to get my head around things and not want to binge when the scale was going to go up regardless.

I have had all my weightloss over 14 months so I do lose weight - it is just really skewed. Naturally the rate of weightloss has gone down recently - but what do you expect deep into a project.

I tend to hate my scale one week out of each month. Your viewpoint is a very healthy way to look at it ~ I will have to remember that! :D
