Sport The Deadlift Challenge!!

Sport Fitness
Alright Lei and your huge log.

I'll do it, with my puny little legs, but a question first. I have never tried to figure out my max, but would it be equivalent to getting what I'm doing 10 reps at right now up 50lbs, or would that be way harder? I'm somewhat afraid to find out my max because I don't want to wreck my back with bad form.

Dont be afraid. Feel the power.

You shoulda seen the one I dropped doing isometric bodyweight squats this morning :/

lmao

I'll play....

My current max is 135. So plus 25 would be 160....

It's 50 lbs. So the goal weight is 185, although that is nothing if 135 is just something you rep with. If you use your 1 RM it would make it more challenging. And if you're new to lifting, your numbers are going to fly up in four months.

I pull 357.5 so getting 407.5 by march should be very doable, unless I run into a plateau again :p 4 plates a side, here I come :D

I'm emberassed to even post in here..
But yea, just bought more weights so my dead lift is 100lb now.
Pathetic I know..but hey gotta start somewhere right..

Yea Der, 230 is great.

That would actually be harder. Just test your max fat animal. :hug2:

I want to try this, but I haven't tested my one rep max yet. I've been doing my reps at about 55-65 lbs. I know, it's pathetic. :(

I guess I have until the start of the challenge to determine my maximum.

Why not. The deadlift is easily the hardest lift to progress for me for reasons unknown. I have been stuck around 235 forever.

Starting Weight- 235
Goal Weight- 285

Wrestling season is coming around too but it won't be all that bad. We get to use the weight room also.
