Yes, stay strong, Trops! Don't make me come up/over/under there! I really hate it when people bring in free food, especially when it is yummy food. OK, let's look at it this way: Free or not, you don't want it to go straight to your *insert body part* and regardless of how yummy it may be, nothing is yummy enough to wreck your diet and gain weight. You have make-up work to do, Mister, so you can not have any of it and you know it. Make a pact with yourself - if you hit your June goal of X lbs, you can treat yourself with a guilt-free BBQ sandwich from there (but have someone bring it to you - don't go in there yourself!!) :D
 
Oh, I know I will resist. I even told the guy that I'm not having any, so I can't go back on that now. It just sucks to WANT it and not have it. I also didn't bring anything for lunch except some fruit to snack on. Trying to make up for a bad weekend and all. I can't treat my self till I've done what I need to.

Yes, that does suck. We've had warm, freshly baked ccc's come in here and oh my that was horrible! You probably should have more for lunch than fruit, though. You know as well as I that if you don't eat enough you are more at risk to indulge in shit you're not supposed to have. OK, my lesson for the day. Done. Thanks. Play again. :p
 
This guy usually brings doughnuts, my weakness, so it's not that bad. The problem is that smell is just everywhere. It's too much. :willy_nilly:

I usually don't have to worry about this because I'm isolated at work. Can't go out and get something, so if you don't bring it you can't eat it. This is the exception. :svengo:

I too was tempted today- Hubby wanted Red Robin for lunch. Even had i chosen a turkey burger it would have meant lots-o-calories, and who could say no to the fries if it comes with the burger. So . . .I got the fajita fiesta chicken salad- delicious and filling and under 400 calories.

Hope to knock out some exercise- the lawn needs mowing.

Geez! 24 hours and and I'm already 2 pages behind! CB, I'm really sorry to hear about the layoff. I'm with Trops on this one - I've been in your shoes before and layoffs make me crazy mad. :cuss: I hope your company gets the contract, though, and you're back soon if that's your goal. Will you look for another job in the mean time?

Cudos to Yarmiah and Trops for their iron will! One of my work's staff kitchens is outside of my office and someone just nuked leftover pizza. I think I actually floated down the hall after them like a cartoon. OK, before anyone makes a crack about me being too heavy to float :smile:, I’ll have you know I’ve been a good girl and drinking buckets of water. I should be floating very soon, trust me.

My goal for this month is 10 pnds. I am just starting so i think this will be reasonable.

I hate deadlines...I had a court deadline hanging over me all day long (stupidly self-imposed) and I have not had lunch yet. I don't want carbs, or junk but I am starving!!!!

I am getting food as soon as this gets out...

I have no goal for June, well I do but there is no way I am reaching it...I will be happy just losing :D

I too hate deadlines... I am the queen of procrastination!! I'm taking a summer online course where we pretty much have no one nagging us to do anything. It is entirely up to us to get stuff done, and I've handed in every assignment LATE!!! But as long as I pass the class, I'll be happy :)

Yea losing weight would be really nice.. if only my muscle build would plateau!!! *impatiently waits*

Sodium/water weight is most of it. No chance you ate an extra 28000 cal in 3 days right?

2 lbs after yesterday for me- up to 227 this morning. Drank a few beers this weekend- it happens to me sometimes.

2 questions (I missed this page since I joined on page 3)

1) Does sodium really make that much of a difference with weight loss or gain? Will it make you gain weight if you eat too much sodium? I put salt on EVERYTHING!! :leaving:
2. Alcohol is really that bad for you?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! BUT WHYYYYYYYYYY????? I didn't drink last weekend and was hoping that I'd only have to make the sacrifice once lol. :nopity:

my understanding is that an excessive sodium intake hastens the retention of water. water weight adds up quickly, but can go away just as quickly with exercise.

Gotta be quick here. This is not a daily soap opera. You can miss a day and still know what's going on. This is more like a weekly show - you miss one day and you have no idea what you've stepped into. Trust me on this.
