I know what you mean about our lifestyle, phew!

I think if I could get my friends to start doing active things together in a group, it could cancel out the drinks we have afterwards. Like maybe go on a camping trip with lots of hiking or swimming.
 
Good Morning all!

This weekend is gonna be a rough one. I have to finish moving out of my old apartment which means it will be a forced weekend of eating out. Also my friends back at school want to go out, and that means drinks.

I'll do my best to take it as healthy as I can while I'm there, but I can't really refuse drinks that are being bought to tell me goodbye.

I'm 22 and I can't deny that the lifestyle of people my age generally includes going out for either food or drinks when hanging out with friends. I will still do my best to not over indulge. I'm gonna try people, but I only live once.
Of course you only live once Jessie. Just try to be a good as possible. This does not and should not be something that requires you to sacrifice everything to accomplish.
Go out and have a great time with your friends- everything in moderation- and get back on track the next week.
it is fine to let lose every now and again- look around, everyone does from time to time.

So, I feel i am getting back on track here.

I saw the lowest number I ever have on the scale this morning. I have a good feeling about this week since it is only Tuesday. I feel strong and I am eating well.
I do not know what Saturday is going to bring- my 'official' weigh in day is Saturday but I do a second one for this thread on Monday- but the fact that it is Wednesday gives me hope.
I am tired of seeing 225. I know it is just a number but i am tired of seeing the same one.
My waist is 38in though. Smallest it has been. :D Started at 45.....
 
I think that would be fun! I'm trying to get some of my friends to go canoing with me sometime this summer. I also like trying to get them to go rollerblading with me.

Yeah, I have a nannying job at home for the summer. I've been back at home for about two weeks now, but half of my stuff is still back in my apartment at school. So now I get to go get the rest of it and visit my roommates and my boyfriend and all of that fun stuff.
 
You know, one thing me and my friends have done is paintballing... not really my thing, but can be really fun!

Mine to. But we will see in the coming days. i really am going to do everything by the numbers- so to speak- the rest of this week to try to get off this funk.
 
Got any room in here for a newbie to join up. I am shooting to get under 200 lbs by the end of June. That makes 11 lbs for me to be under. I was 210 lbs on the 1st. Just got my man to join the gym with me and have spent at least an hour there everyday for the last 4. He dose not have any weight to loose, but lucky for me he decided that he wants to get back into weight lifting. I love to go to the gym, had to stop for a bit due to scheduling. Hope to make my goal and it would be great to push myself to keep up with others.
A big girl can always use some fat friend encouragement :grouphug:. I get sick of being told that if I just ate a salad more often that the weight would just come off. This from a guy that is 6' 2" and weighs in at 175 lbs. (And yes he can eat anything he wants without gaining). So my 5' 2" self just plans to work really hard at the gym EVERY day.

Hi Crystalfire, welcome. It's funny that you said you were told if you would just eat salads more, that would solve everything. I had a young family member say once,"I don't get why people are fat. All they have to do is eat less". Hilarious. Now she's starting to get a pot belly. Should I remind her what she said about me and my husband a few years ago? Justice was served! Ha ha...

I too am trying to get down below 200 by the end of this month so lets do it together! Working out in the gym every day is awesome. It's really going to help with your weight loss. Kudos!

Down to 210.4 today. Only 10.4 to lose!
 
Oops. Slip up last night! I said "oh, I'll just have one drink..." Er, six drinks later and the munchies set in. DOH! And it was a Tuesday night...? Where do I get these ideas?!?

Ok, did the calorie counting thing though. Looks like I still ended up with a 200 calorie deficit because yesterday was a crazy workout day. And the little slip up has me extra motivated today!
