Sounds... well, I'm not going to say what it sounds like. It's your honeymoon. Enjoy. :biggrinjester:

Why am I not surprised? I really should be. But I'm not. :D:D

I apparently have a thing for rum. My favorite drinks feature rum, the DB is no exception.

By the end of my trip I may be laid out on the sand ... empty glass in hand ... slurred speech ... "Why is the rum gone?"

Rum! Rum! Rum!
We love Rum!

I have this image of you trying to check a full rum barrel on the plane ride home. "What do you mean only 750ml? It's only one."

Yup, I love it, too. I don't know what rum plants are around where you are going, but when I was in San Juan one time I went to the Bacardi plant. What a great tour and tasting room. So much interesting information. I recommend looking into it.

Appleton Estate Rum Tours on the eastern side of the island. :D Already did my homework.

I have to go back to Jamaica one of these days. I was there once, but only for about 3 hours. Long story, but I did make the most of those three hours. I was told to stick to the resort area and promptly left to explore the barrios. Had a great time but had to stay sober. Next time will be different. :sifone:

3 hours? I'm afraid I won't want to come back. I may just call the States, tell 'em to ship me the kids, and live in paradise. :D

Yeah, three hours is about 100 times too short. I have a friend who is talking about retiring and buying a cat sailboat and hopping around the Caribbean. When he does that I'm sure to go visiting him. I do want to get scuba certified, first, though.

We're set to take a sunset Cat cruise to Pirate's Cave. You can get off the boat and go swimming inside the cave and jump off the cliffs and stuff.

Nice! Cats are so comfortable, especially for people who aren't sailors. Very steady.

Probably a real good design feature since they serve drinks on this particular Cat, too.

I was reading posts and reviews about the resort and this one guy was going on and on about how he had to travel through one of the villages and seeing the children and the housing ruined his entire honeymoon. Um, hello?? It's a third world country. Do some research. Idiot.

There was another post by this woman who had honeymooned there for two weeks. She and her husband went and bought a whole bunch of supplies and clothing and surprised one of the little schools with the goodies. They had a pic of them with all the kids. Now, that's the way to be.

My thinking is that if you are going to another country and you don't experience the culture, then you might as well stay home. Why go to Jamaica to sit on a beach and drink rum? You can do that at home. You go there because the people are different and the culture is different. Look for those differences and enjoy them.

It reminds me of the American tourist that said that Paris was really nice except for all the foreigners there.

Seriously. I'm looking forward to meeting new people. From what I hear, most of them are so laid back you can't help but relax yourself. I've looked everywhere I possibly can for info, both good and bad. I want to be familiar with my surroundings before I get there. Yeah, I have control issues . . . lol.

Did I tell you we changed our mind on the resort? We're not staying at Sunset.

What's the plan?

Couples Negril. All transfers included and they have so many more inclusive activities than the other. Plus, adult couples only, no kids or teens. :)
