Weight-Loss The Brat Pack June Weight Loss Challenge

Weight-Loss
Hello everyone,

June 2 - 139 lbs
June 9 - ???
June 16 - 143.6 lbs

+ 4.6 lbs

Despite my efforts this weekend, I still gain. Make note my first weigh in is from my retarded old scale....I'm trying to justify things here so bare with me haha.

I had a less-than-honest weekend as well, but I still managed to eek out a loss.

June 1: 192.5 (27.8%)
June 9: 188.4 (26.5%)
June 16: 186.6 (26.0%)

Lost: 5.9 (1.8%)

I'm miles away from my 5% body fat loss that I set as my goal for the month. Though I also knew that it'd be near impossible to attain when I chose it. Isn't that the point? Still gunning for it.

Since I am away next week and won't have access to a scale - for better or for worse, I am thinking for better, as for details on my absence, check out my diary - I weighed myself this morning and will post that as my 'official' Monday weigh in...

182.2

It looks like I got rid of some of my upswing and since it is that TOM I am guessing that the actual number is somewhat lower than this.

I am hoping to maintain for the week and come out the same :)

I'll be here guys, just not as much, don't miss me too much...

Ok so this was my weight pre-vacation...

I got on the scale this morning after a late dinner last night and saw this:

182.5

I MAINTAINED THROUGH VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will reweigh tomorrow morning to make sure but I'm happy with it :)

Way to go, Ali. With all the walking on the boardwalk and sand that you were doing, I didn't think that the little indulgences would really do you in. Well, I guess the alcohol did, but not weight wise.

Yeah that was a tough lesson to learn but learn it I did :)

I don't drink that often so it was a little bit of a surprise to me...oh well...

They didn't and now I know how to manage situations like that - just a little more effort is needed and I can enjoy what I like.

Total loss for June: -1.8lbs

A small gain, but overall happy with it as I had taken my kids camping this weekend. I ate a little more than I usually do (who can so "no" to a campfire smore?) but didn't pig out. Did a little walking for exercise. Kids had a blast and we survived the couple of hours of severe thunderstorms. Hope to do it again in the future, but 2 or so days is the maximum I can sleep on the ground I think- I missed my bed!

who can so "no" to a campfire smore?

I could say no to the smore, but to hotdogs cooked over the campfire? No f'n way! I don't know what it is about that disgusting tube of meatstuff but I love me a hotdog cooked in a campfire or barbecue. Damn! Now I want one!

Oh the joys of being a vegetarian. Don't have to worry about those delicious hot dogs or sausages ever entering my mouth. Thank goodness!!!

Total loss for June: 2.4 lbs

I nearly cried when I saw the scale this morning. Usually when I don't have a loss I know exactly why. Not this week. In fact, my calorie deficit says I should have lost 3 pounds. But I did have a big loss 3 weeks ago (4.9 lbs) that I didn't really deserve, so maybe things are just evening out. Haven't lost my motivation though!

And I burned the most calories ever yesterday - 3600! I use the body bugg which records my activity with a couple different sensors and it's generally really accurate. Yesterday I had a lot of re-fencing to do around the property as well as wood chipping, planting, weeding and some other general maintenance. It was supposed to be my day off too!

JUNE LOSS: +2

Yesterday was fathers day, need I say more?

Haven't lost my motivation though!

That's the attitude to have. No worries- we all have plateau's and fluctuations. ANd, at least it wasnt a gain! I'm sure if you continue making the right choices, you WILL see a loss next week!

Thanks yarmiah! My fiance is really helping in the motivation department. He made me promise that I won't give up. I took nearly 6 months recovering from gallbladder surgery that was suppose to take 3 or 4 weeks. I slept almost 14 hours a day and had no energy to do anything. I was not a fun person to be around. As I slowly climbed out of that hole, he started to see the personality he fell in love with again. He says that now that I am eating healthy and exercising again, I am so much happier and brighter - and I feel that way too! He said he won't let me quit and I haven't had any thoughts of it at all. I know there will be ups and downs - just like there were when I lost weight before the surgery. But the week to week weights don't matter - it's the overall progress!

Jessie this is great, really great.
I am so happy you broke through!
WTG!
Did you do anything special this week to get this or was it the same old thing that finally worked?

It was pretty much the same old thing. I changed up my workout routine a bit and started drinking tea to edge off some hunger. But my eating habits have been about the same as usual.

I was just thrilled to see the scale for once and I'm excited to work hard again this week.

Then it just clicked. I am very happy for you. :)

So was I. You have a great attitude. It is about time it paid off on the scale. :)
