Hey all,

So Disneyland was super fun, but what wasn't fun is what I brought back with me. I ate at the Rain Forrest Cafe, and all was well when I got back home. The next night I went to sleep rather early. I have bad insomnia so I didn't understand why I was so tired at 11:15 PM. I didn't want to question this wonderful time to sleep so I hoped in my bed. I awoke at 7:30 AM with horrible cramping. I thought I could just sleep it off, but that was not the case. I got all kinds of sick, but for some reason I still went to work. There I got sick seven more times before I finally gave up and came home. I had food poisoning!! I'm just starting to feel better today. I can finally keep water, fruit, and bread down which makes me very happy. I even got in 30 minutes of working out. My body is quite weak though, so I can't push myself to much.

I'm telling you girls, I have the worst luck sometimes!

Tarrish, that sucks about the food poisoning! Glad you had a good time at Disneyland though.

Today I got in a 20 min. walk at school and did 90 min. at the Y tonight. I'm beat!

I ran with the bulls....it was harder than expected. My throat was burning after.

Week 8—Pamplona to Brussels 19hrs 46min (by train). 6hrs 36min split 3 ways.

Belgium is probably most famous for beer, chocolate and lace. And while the idea of sitting around in lacy underwear drinking beer and eating chocolate might be very appealing to many of you (it certainly is to me ), it isn’t very conducive to weight loss, and you’d have far too much fun. Therefore, this last Roadblock isn’t nearly as delightful. Eat 20 Brussels sprouts over the course of the week. I don’t think Brussels sprouts originated in Brussels, and I never ate any while I was there, but oh well, I can’t think of anything else to make you do.

Only one person per team needs to do this. However, each teammate must do at least one roadblock, so if you haven't done one yet--this one's for you. Happy eating.


Tarrish: Don't worry about the exercise, concentrate on feeling better, remember the challenges are only for fun.
 
When I run like that, my chest hurts and I cough for days afterwards. But, I knew I wouldn't have time to take any siestas.

The running was defiantly a painful experience for me, but at least we got it done right?

I'm almost to 163...I can taste it. If I lost two pounds this week it would be awesome. I need to exercise more though because I'm going to Disneyland once again and they are having a beer and wine festival. Alcohol, especially beer, just packs on those calories. Wish me luck ladies!

PS: This time I will not be eatting at the Rain Forrest Cafe because I don't feel like straining my stomach muscles again, to put it nicely. :D

Good luck Tarrish! You will lose those 2 pounds in no time. I know we didn't figure out the detour, but I have been eating the Brussel sprouts just in case. I haven't kept track of who has done what so far in terms of the roadblocks but I don't think I have done 2 yet.

I've been eatting those little guys as well. I actually love 'em to be honest. I would eat them even if this wasn't part of the challenge. I don't mind who takes kuddos for eatting them, as long as the team gets credit. :D

I did about an hour and twenty minutes of exercise today. I'm soooo tired. I have so much school work to complete that it's driving me a little mad. Saturday night is going to be hell. I'm going to be writing like I've never written before. I will still manage to get in that exercise. ;)

Hey gals, I know this is really late posting but I got in late last night and no time to post.

Anyway, my exercise was like this: Mon on the elliptical for 35 min., Tues. - nada, Wed. Walking around the aquarium and around town for most of the day, but no real exercise (except for the flights of stairs at the "cabin", wowser - 3 flights - and by the time the day was done I was exhausted.), Thurs. hiking and walking which was from about 12:30 pm until 3:30. Almost non-stop., Fri. again nada it was the ride home. So, I'm going to count the walking on the hiking day, but not the aquarium day, and I will figure in about 30 min. for gift shopping and actually sitting down waiting for the little ones to gift shop on that day.

The exercise up to that point for me was 2 hrs and 30 min.

So my total for this week was 5 hrs. and 35 min.
