Good to have you back! So - what's doing at your house these days? Is swimming still happening, or is that more a summer thing?

Thank you, everyone. I've been a bad, bad girl.. Had that party on Friday night (which was a disaster.. I was the only person not doing drugs. Seriously.. A group of mothers and professional women in their thirties.. Couldn't believe it, I was so uncomfortable.) Then we had a friend over Monday night and I made tacos which were healthy but then had Apple Strudel and some sweets and wine. Then Dungeons and Dragons on Tuesday and ate too much then. And then last night I went out with two girl friends for dinner (chicken kebab and chips). I have a sore head for the 3rd night in a row. No more drinking for a while.. I can't hack the mornings with a baby and I'm still trying to have fun like I'm a wanton, motherless Sunflower with no responsibility. Sigh.

Today will be wholesome food and an early, early night.

L has been really sad in the creche when I've left him to swim and it's really put me off :( will try again next week and see how he is!!

What´s done is done and it sounds like you´re now motivated to change things for a while :)

Ouch! no new buddies found then, I suppose.

Yes, no new pals. Never mind. Not my sort of people.

Good day yesterday, healthy veggie pasta for lunch and then casserole for dinner with rice. No alcohol! Go me!

I rolled my ankle in the kitchen yesterday and dropped like a sack of shit onto the stone floor..I may have broken my big toe.. Yank had to come home from work as I couldn't go up the stairs with L but feels okayish this morning. Don't think hosp can do anything for a broken toe anyway. Work have asked me to do some audits from home so need to collect a laptop at some point today..hopefully I'll be able to drive.

No plans for tonight as Yank out for a very well deserved night out with the D&D boys. My plan is no alcohol, home-made spag bol with quorn and an early night again. Typically I napped at 14-16 yest and was unable to sleep last night so lots of coffee needed this morning!

Usually they just say to wear shoes with tough soles and soft or big tops. But if it doesn't get better asap getting it checked out is still a good idea. Get well soon!

Ow! Ow ow ow! Sorry about that - and yes, maybe best to get it checked over. And (I seem to say this a lot, but I really do think it helps with almost any illness or injury) rest as much as you can.

Sorry Han about the party . I'm surprised at the drug use tbh.
Hope the toe is ok . Sounds like you are eating well though. Have a nice weekend .

I hate when I fall for what seems no good reason, hope you heal quickly.

Your no plan plan sounds good, hope it worked out.

If things go bad with the toe you could consider the sour toe cocktail (The Sourtoe Cocktail).

Thanks guys! Rob, that article is hilarious. ""Toe time" occurs nightly between 9 and 11 p.m."

This weekend has not been a toe-tal loss (see what I did their, Rob?). I have eaten well today (see below!). We have taken L for a swim today and I got my nails done. Was lovely to see Yank and L enjoying some time together that isn't pre-bedtime grumpiness at the end of the day. He's such a good dad.

Breakfast: half a flapjack and cappuccino with Yank and L (200)
Lunch: pasta (500)
Dinner: home-made spag bol with moreee pasta (700)
Snacks: 1 G&T and some carrots/celery (120)

Total: 1520

Plan for tomorrow is meal-prep! I had a shop delivered tonight. Going to make Pinch of Nom recipes (dirty rice) and some cream cheese and ham pin wheels for L and his weaning adventures. He tried spag bol tonight and most of it ended up on the floor (and behind the ears, down the nappy, etc) but the cats were very glad of the snack.

Ouch re your toe, Han! What a shame about the party. I made new friends after I had my first son as my old ones were too tied up with their work & parties etc. You'll find your new tribe. You're a brave Mum trying L out on spag bol. I could just picture the mess. Hope you get a good meal prep day in sweets. It will make your life so much easier.

Have you the pinch of nom book Han . I get recipes from the website but I know the book has more . The dirty rice is one of their top ten meals.
Sounds like you are in good form and enjoying family life .

My mum has it petal which is where I stole the recipes from - the chicken orzo is another firm favourite, too. Delicious! Meal prep done. L had crumpets and fruit for breakfast and me and Yank had home-made Sausage and egg mcmuffins (quorn sausage patties in english muffins with cheese slice!) and then I've grazed a bit on fruit and a cereal bar. L has been a sleep angel today, had an hour after breakfast, two hours after lunch and is now snoozing again..I don't know what to do with myself! Probably more laundry, cleaning, Christmas pressie wrapping.. the list is endless!

Feeling peaceful and in charge today. No wine/fizz since Wednesday and no real urge to drink tonight. Me and Yank have a rare night out together tomorrow - my best friend and his girlfriend kindly "gifted" me a night out for my 30th so think they are babysitting and paying for dinner! We are going to my favourite family run Italian - it's so cheap but tasty, fresh food. Will try and sneak in a visit to the pub before as well.

What a great gift; have fun!

Christmas presents... oh dear. :( I have a widespread family (geographically!) and I probably should be getting things together right now. Okay - I'll start a list.
