SPINNING MY WAY BACK 2 ME... by 40!

Don't get down cuz of the weight ... definitely go for the inches. You're doing great anyways! Spinning 3 times is great ... especially with having 2 babies and working all day. And you're still writing everything down and that's what ya need to do :)

Keep up the great work ... and you'll continue to have great success!
 
You are diong soooooooo AWESOME. Don't get discourged about them extra pounds. It could me muscles in your legs :D And great idea for your challenge. I got to get a new one for myself for this month... have a GREAT Weekend and DIRNK YOUR WATER:D
 
ok girlfirned i did 50 yesterday barely but today i think i am gonna break them up through the day i also done my biggest loser dvd lol

Thanks Destined2lose and JellyBelly! You really brought my spirits up! I am not going to let the scale get to me... or at least I will try not to...

I am behind on my postings here...
Let's see, I only did my situps that one day... not that I am making any excuses but my DH changed his work schedule last week so it was kind of hectic. So here is my weekly goal:

  • 50 situps daily
  • 4 spinning classes this week-YIKES!
  • 100 ounces of water per day
  • stay positive and motivated!
  • journal my food intake!
  • go to bed by 10:00
  • weigh in on FRIDAY!

THURSDAY: took a spinning class at lunchtime- great workout!

FRIDAY: no workout

SATURDAY: no workout/ cleaned house and ran after my 1 and 2 yearold... does that count for anything? ha ha

SUNDAY: took a ONE HOUR SPINNING CLASS!!! I DID IT!!! YEAH ME! I didn't think I would make it through the class!! 16 people either sat on their bikes all pooped out or actually WALKED OUT! I kept telling myself "DON'T QUIT, YOU ARE NOT A QUITTER!"
OK, so this sounds REALLY bad/mean but my goal in the class was to count 10 people who quit before I would... I totally thought that only one or two would walk out before finishing the class but oh my gosh... about 8 actually walked out and the other 8 just sat on their bikes.... I was so proud of myself.. it was about 103 degrees ouside too..
I felt soo good for the rest of the day!

Today I probably won't be able to go to the gym for my class but I will still drink my water and do my situps

FOOD INTAKE:
I did well all weekend. I even ordered a salad at a Mexican Restaurant... I could have had some Enchiladas Suizas with rice and beans, but I ordered a chile verde tostada, did not eat ANY of the tortilla!! That is pretty good for me! I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD! I ate salads for dinner every night except Friday night I had one slice of pizza:rolleyes: It was SOO good! ha ha I didn't want to totally deprive myself so I just ate ONE piece...

My Food Intake For Today!

BREAKFAST: 2 waffles, LITE syrup (less than one Tablespoon for both) and a little whipped cream! shame on me I know!
one glass of OJ
16 ounces of water

SNACK:
nothing

LUNCH:chicken veggie soup- 150 calories ha! It was 150 calories for ONE serving... I must have had 2 servings plus I added avocado too... not too bad...



SNACK:none yet and BELIEVE ME... I WANT SOMETHING SWEET!! AY YA YAY!! Save me! ha ha Will down some water....instead


DINNER: who knows... didn't even take anything out... hopefully my honey bunny (DH) will make something scruptious, and low fat of course... he loves to cook!

Your life sounds so much like mine! Crazy busy all the time. I also have to get up super early to get my workouts in. I have somehow convinced myself that I feel crappy if I don't get my wotrkout in every AM. Also trying to get walks in at night too...but that has not always worked out!
I love to read everyones posts and too see I am not the only one who struggles! I hope it makes you feel good that each time you post you are an inspiration me! I am a newbie, but looking forward to checking out your posts often! :p
 
Keep up the great work ... it's so difficult when things are hectic in your life. But you're making the time for exercise and that's wonderful. You go girl!
 
okay, I have never heard of anyone eating hardboiled eggs with salsa but that sounds so yummy!!!!!

I love reading everyone's diaries for so many reasons...but one of the best is getting new food ideas. You know it's so easy to get bored with what we eat and that can cause a backslide.

So thank you for the new idea!!! I can't wait to try it. :)
 
Second day of Spinnng for the week - DONE!

Got up this morning and did my SPINNING class.... I love the classes... ok for anyone interested about the classes or anyone who has done the classes tell me if you can relate...
You know when you are PMS'ing or when you just want to be in your "zone" and do your own thing? You aren't grouchy or irritable, just kind of doing your own thing? Just don't really feel like talking...?? ok get the picture? That's the way my mood was the other day... when I took a spinning class.... So I am doing the warm up... I am into my groove, everything is cool... my mind is just cruisin' about "THINGS" what I had to do that day... or things I had done the night before... everything is COOL....then class starts and I am following the instructor and everything is just fine.... WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN.... she starts with this "whooo hoooo!!" ok sometimes that is fine ... I was thinking, 'ok she's having a good time, she's feeling good, good for her...' then about 3 minutes later 'whoooo hooooo!!' I am thinking didn't she just do a whoo hooo?? and then before I could finish my thought.... here comes another WHOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Louder.........and the whoo hoo's just continued throughout the ENTIRE 45 minute class... ok I just wanted to get off my bike and go slap her! (I know sounds mean... of course I would NEVER do that... but hello? how annoying was that? and THEN to top it off, everytime I looked up at her, she had this smile from ear to ear... ok and I barely had enough energy to freakin' look up at her through my huffs and puffs and she is just smiling away... pedalling (sp?)effortlessly... it's kind of comical NOW but at the time, I just wanted to smack the witch.... It was freakin 5:45 A.M.!! SO TODAY, when I walked into class and saw her.... I felt like not even taking the class... she was pretty quiet this time whewww...... OH... she must have been in HER OWN ZONE TODAY... Dare I do a LOUD WHOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!??????????????? I felt like it, but I didn't...... oh the joys of SPINNING! ha ha

It was a good class! I think it was just me... I think I must have been PMSing... I can say that right? We can blame almost anything on PMS.... ha ha
Speaking of which ... I just finished my period (sorry if too much info here) but, I had always heard that the cramping decreases if you excersise regularly... it really does... it really didn't even bother me this time... hmmmmm kinda nice! gotta go... will finish my post later!:eek:

spinning is sooo bloody hard!!! and it hurts my knees.. :( I dunno why!! Any tips? :)
 
LOL! I had to laugh when I pictured the whole Woo Hoo scenario in my mind!! I can relate though.....I was at Target this morning and this little boy had these slippers on that made this really, really loud squeel when he walked. Well then he started jumping up and down hard and it got louder and louder and don't get me wrong, I love kids but man, this was friggin annoying! So I said, "O, Dios por favor!" Not very loud, but I think his Mom heard me and she told him to stop...LOL, then I felt bad, oh well.....
Anyhow, sounds like you are really kicking A** and taking names in your spinning class!! You go girl!!
I miss my Mexican food!! My Mama makes the best!! I will live vicariously through your posts about Mexican food. It's hard to find some of the ingredients I need to make certain dishes so we only have it so often, plus my husband is Asian and the man needs to have his white rice all the time. When my Mom comes to visit, she brings me the things I need and love. This last visit she brought me Tamarindo and Jamaica...yum!!!
So you love Manolo's too?? Well, I can only have them once in a great while and I am sure all that will change once we have kids too!
I am glad to see you are still going strong. Keep up the good work!

Buenos Dias Everyone!

Well good afternoon to all! I am feeling pretty good today! Went to my SPINNING class even though I was up all night... ok not ALL night, that's a bit of an exageration, but it sure felt that way... my 15 month old woke up crying at 1 a.m and we could not figure out what was wrong with her... so at 2 a.m. my husband (gotta love him) said... "I am going to take her for a ride" OMG! :eek: So he took her for a ride around town till she fell asleep... BLESS HIS HEART! Then at 5 my 2 year old was wide awake... not sure why so I took her to my bed put her down next to Daddy, and I got ready for the gym...

feeling good... my class was ok, for some reason there was no AC on in that room! it was pretty stuffy....gotta admit, I left like 10 minutes before class ended... so I missed the cool-down and about 5 minutes of sprints (pedalling as fast as you can for intervals of like 30 seconds) That reminds me... I wanted to write this down because it's all about small acheivments... when I took my first class, and we did sprints, OMG... I could feel my JELLO flabby legs/hips... NOW when I do the sprints I can still feel a LITTLE jiggling but compared to the first day... I feel GOOD! So I think this is working... my clothes are starting to fit better too... one of my neighbors "spins" too and she said HER friend lost 40 pounds just spinning 4-5 times a week...for 6 months... and she also told me that she didn't change anything else such as her diet or anything.....but she also told me that I have to stick to it for a couple of months minimum... she said she did not see a change for weeks and then all of a sudden, the weight just started dropping off! That totally motivates me!

SCARLETT: I wish you would have been there to slap that happy grin off her face! ha ha

AVI2CAT: Spinning is tough but the good thing is that you are in control of your own workout... as for knee pain try to set your seat height so that your knee is slightly bent when your leg is extended at the bottom of the pedal stroke- your knee should never go further forward than your feet...I was a little sore the first few times but now it's totally comfortable...you should give it another shot!

BOSTONBAKEDBEAN: OMG! That would be me at Target!! ha ha Except I would say "Por el Amor de Dios!"
BTW: I totally loved your story about how why you are the boston baked bean... too funny.
Yeah... I love Mexican Food.... I remember when I first came to the States (was raised in Europe) we had never had Mexican food so we thought TACO BELL... was the best Mexican food! :p Now of course, living in Southern California, we get the real stuff...
I have some Mexican friends who's Mama's can cook some MEAN Mexican food... one of my favorites is CHILAQUILES...mmmmm!!!!!! I go down to this place called the Orange Grove in LA/Beverly Hills.... oh my gosh at the Farmers Market there is a place that makes KILLER TAMALES....mmm mmm mmm You are making me hungry now...NOT GOOD!!

I have SOOO been in the class with the whooohooers! I have never personally been a whooohooer...much to conservative:p ! I wish we had a gym nearby that did spinning...sounds like fun! I live about 15 miles from the closest "city". Our local highschool has a fitness center and offers a few classes, but do you know how much it SUCKS to take an Aerobics class with all these people who live just around the corner. I would rather have strangers watch the jiggle:D !
Keep up those spinning classes and you WILL be spinning faster than the instructor and then you can WHOOHOO TOO! You ladies are so inspiring..you have NO IDEA!!!
 
You are just doing so Great with sticking to this spinnig class. I had always wanted to do so but the gyms are expensive.. The gym's on post are free for us but no spinning classes:mad: I wish my hubby would do that with our 15 month old late at night:D My son is alawys wking up like that. But now he is starting to sleep more through out the night.

My mom's friend did alot of spinning calsses also and out of no where she looked great.. More in shaped.. And sure enough she has been doing spinning for about 6 wekks she said. 2-3 times a week.. So , You'll get there and fell great..

ciaoana, I have to say that I so admire you (and all you other mothers out there)...taking care of children, husband, home, work etc and still getting up at 5 am to go to a spinning class. It wears me out just thinking about it.

You are doing so good!!!!
