Most of my heels are 3 to 4 inches. Except for that 6" pair. (I never wear those out anyway) I would be 6 feet tall if I did wear them out. That would be weird.

It's actually a good idea to have several pairs of shoes. First of all, you aren't supposed to wear the same pair two days in a row, and second of all a guy should own more than just casual and athletic shoes. Women like well dressed men, and shoes are just as big a part of the outfit as everything else.
