Seuss' Hop On Pop - Shape Shifting @40ish

Day 20...

Blew the diet tonight-- too much vodka, meat, and crab (and a slice of key lime pie). And no regrets. Won't try and figure out how to put it in to FitDay...too much effort...besides, the post guilt will probably do more anyway.

So...not gonna post the diet...back on tomorrrow.

Oh, but I did get in 150 push-ups thanks to the effer. And picked up the NROL book to peruse over the weekend.

Nite--

So you got the NROL book - you chose wisely then. Will be interested to hear what you think of it.

hey doc, i had a day of athletics so far today. I feeling some attitude in here buddy. i had it yesterday too. Come on bro, stay with me here, we can do this.

your friend,
Todd

The book looks like a good read-- I'm anxious to get a regular weight routine set up and start seeing some progress.

And Todd-- I'm not going anywhere, heh heh. Attitude...can be good...can be bad...can show confidence...can show fear. It's all about perception of attitude. I just have to keep *my* attitude in check-- stay positive I will see changes.

Not much else to say tonight-- busy day of yard work and cranky kids.

Not posting the diet...been baaaaad.

Stay strong y'all.

Yup - just one thing...

When he says superset with full rest he means taking the full rest after each set of the superset. So if you're doing Break-In workout A, you'd do the Static Lunges, then rest 60 seconds, then do your first set of rows. Then you'd rest 60 seconds and start your 2nd set of lunges etc...

I've been doing the warmup exercises before the actual workouts and they certainly do get you ready for the main event - walking lunges, lateral lunges, t-pushups, inchworms, ball bridge and russian twists.

Haven't gotten that far yet...guess I need to quit reading and posting to the forums long enough to open a real book, heh heh.

I'll come back and re-read this though! Thanks dude-

:D

Day 22...

Happy Dad's Day to all the dads-- I had a pretty darn good one. Not a bad diet, but nothing to write home (or in FitDay) about. Got some things done around the house and spent the day enjoying my family. Trying to get the house set for a lot of visitors coming in July.

So tomorrow we're back on the strict diet-- much easier to do during the work week than the weekend. Then boot camp tomorrow night. And more reading of the NROL book.

So here we are-- slow and steady wins the race right?

slow and steady! BOOOOOOOORRRRRIIINNNNGGGGG!!! heeheh

I am so jealouys that you and your lady were out until 1:am. sheeeesh.

here for you and doing it too.

Working the arems and shoulders with Kettlebells in the office today, TKD tonight, and found another good food. CousCous, kind of like the Quinoa, but even healthier. and it feels good in the choppers.

Yeah I know...boring...unfortunately until someone here can tell me how to instantly get in to the shape I want, I gotta take it how I can get it. Looks like you got a good sweat in today-- good on ya dude!

Day 23...

Busy day at work, then a great boot camp. Lots of abs, push-ups, lunges, sprints, and other forms of torture. Felt great--

Day 24...

Another busy day at the office. Unfortunately, not real motivated so I've got to get my shiiite together and adjust my work attitude. I've got a lot I've got to get caught up and/or ahead with as we're going to have company most of July.

So...tonight it was just a little light housework and get the kids to bed. Wife's gym night and she just got back.

Those are some great percentages you're putting up there doc - keep it up and you'll be at your goal in no time. How's NROL coming?

Thanks-- trying to make up for some cheating done last weekend, heh heh. I'd like to say NROL is going well, but truth is I haven't really done anything but leaf through it so far. Tomorrow is the last day of the bootcamp class (still have a Saturday boot camp class) so next week I'll be starting *some* FBW. Just gotta get it workout out and posted for critique.

Day 25...

A bit discouraged today. Frustrations at work , then a less than agressive boot camp workout. It was the last night of the class and I guess I just expected more of a sweat-- it wasn't enought to get out my work frustrations.

Got a call in to my Sports Med Doc to see if he can recommend a trainer to get me going on the FBW. I'll still do a lot of the leg work with NROL, but I need a professional to assess my back and let me know how to build the muscle and not injure myself.

Enough whining-- Here's the diet breakout for today:

Fat: 27%
Sat: 6%
Poly: 1%
Mono: 4%
Carbs: 42%
Protein: 31%

Total Calories Consumed: 1857
Total Calories Burned: 3447

Day 26...

A little better at work-- just the nature of the beast to get a little out of control with politics. Things will probably be rocky all summer with vacations, schedules, and deadlines-- all of which I'll handle fine, just need to clean my own desk a bit before I try and tackle more.

Called my doc back and have an evaluation appointment set up for next Tuesday. He'll review by back, probably check my ROM and other stuff, then hopefully provide me a recommendation for a personal trainer to get me started on a good weight routine. Like I said yesterday, I'll work out what I'm hoping to have for a workout using the NROL, but before I actually do it, I'll run it by my doc and/or trainer.

Not a great diet day, but not too bad-- here's the breakout:

Fat: 23%
Sat: 7%
Poly: 2%
Mono: 7%
Carbs: 42%
Protein: 35%

Total Calories Consumed: 1594
Total Calories Burned: 3041

Day 27...

Today...TGIF. It was good to be done with work for the week. Going to enjoy the weekend and keep on preparing for visitors headed our way. Got home from work, changed, and went for about a mile walk with the family. My daughter (4) seemed to have the *most* energy on the walk and kept us all moving along. Boot camp tomorrow; then swimming lessons for the kids and another birthday party. Our six year old boy has a much larger circle of friends than his old mom and dad.

Another decent, but not stellar, diet day-- here's the breakout:

Fat: 22%
Sat: 4%
Poly: 2%
Mono: 3%
Carbs: 46%
Protein: 32%

Total Calories Consumed: 2321
Total Calories Burned: 3146

you have a life!! I'm jealous- NOT!! I've got a B-day party tomorrow too, but ferfy (9) is a visitor, so we get to drop her off.

then i'm headed to the dropzone bro!! you know how much that means to me. You have been with me for the last 70+ days since i had that hard lading,... what a time to be my friend-- oh the drama eh?

I love you man!!

Not sure if the boy's party is a drop-off or not...might be...sweet.

I know you've been looking forward to the release since the day of the injury-- you enjoy in bro. Drama-shmama...it all comes with the package bud. Now all I need is a "release" from my doc before I can plan the big jump.

Glad to see your progress-- would be great to say I've lost 14 pounds, but I know that's not the case...I'm about 1/2 that at 7-8 pounds. Important thing is getting and staying healthy.

Love back at cha man--
