Lots of yard work this last week. Yesterday travel day to see my mom again, got back home around 4pm. Went out for 4km walk to get some steps in. Weighed in today 217 lbs(98.6 kg) so 12lb to target of 205 (93 kg) .
I set this as my target weight as it was my weight division in judo that I competed in during my 20’s.

Bella was unusually busy sniffing the neighborhood so we has a leisurely walk this morning, followed by string trimming the yard.

For people who have apartments & work or as in our case my mother is in an apartment they can leave their pet at a safe play environment to socialize with other pets, they are fed watered & supervised while you are away for the day. Many like the one we use offer overnight boarding, which we used while we away on vacation for two weeks

That sounds lovely: the dogs must prefer boarding at a place where they go to play regularly anyway.

It rained almost all day yesterday. So we basically wrote it off. Installed a new hard drive on our computer.
Today I took Bella for our 2km around the subdivision, then went out for another 3km.

Rain is good and useful - but also sometimes a pain. Getting computer stuff done is helpful as well though

Another 2km with Bella, & then 3 more at a brisk pace to get the heart pumping today.

Just weighed in 215 lbs (97.7 kg)
Just 10lbs (4.5 kg) to my target!

A week of 28-30C temperatures, so Bella & I are out at 7am when it’s 18C for our morning walks.

Another 32C day here. We took Bella out at 7:00 am again while temps are reasonable (18C) then did some gardening. Weighed in this morning (214 lbs) still heading in right direction.

Morning walk with Bella & my wife Sharon, then changed to work clothes for gardening.
We are now under a special air advisory due to high smoke content, caused by over 100 Forest fires burning in western Canada.

How awful about all those fires! And to think summer is only just starting...

In addition to our own military, fire fighters from Mexico, USA, & South Africa, Australia & New Zealand are assisting our crews with the wildfires.

That's just insane. I hope as many people as possible stay safe.

Reported this morning 400+ wildfires are burning in Canada, 100 are considered out of control at this time. Several communities on east & west coasts are under evacuation orders. This highest ever recorded at this time of year. Climate change , dry weather, & human error (50%)(stupidity) are attributed as the causes.

Just a short walk this morning around the coldusac with a stop to get the mail. Air is bad, can smell smoke everywhere & sky is a sepia (pinkish brown) with sun obliterated. Guessing this is what dinosaurs saw after the meteor impact raised global dust cloud.

It must be awful. I would have to stay inside with the air purifier going. I think this is a sign of what's to come

We got a small reprieve today with air quality index dropped from 10+ yesterday to 4 this morning. 10+ is highest = severe. 4= poor. We can see clouds & blue skies today. We did some gardening work with N95 masks on, then retreated inside & did cardio on the Treadclimber. Weighed in 213 lbs , so I passed the half way mark to my 205 lb target weight.
