The pot of Chilli worked out well, good flavour with a little bit of afterburn. The rest of the family ate more than expected last night, little miss loved the red kidney beans which is new, she has not like any other types of beans. It is nice and thick this morning and I will pack the leftovers into the freezer this morning.

I ate 2 things yesterday that I should not have reacted to, neither had wheat listed so I think cross contamination somewhere in the production line is most probable. I suspect it was the corn taco shells as the rice product I had was not completely new and I had never reacted to it before. So I was in a fair bit of discomfort yesterday afternoon and my throat closed up a little.

It must be very hard to be so sensitive to even faint traces of wheat. I hope you feel better as the day wears on, Tru.
That chilli sounds good!

mixed day today, a snake bit my boot, I don't know who was startled more, me or the snake. It was brown so could have been almost any of the venomous species we have here.

We never have bare skin here either at our place. I met a young couple at the weekend who had just been bushwalking in a national park with their kids & all had bare legs  When I told them that G had seen a 4' tiger snake on the golf course that day you should have seen the look on her face!

Oof. Good thing you're not a sneaker person.

yep, thick boots are a key item when it comes to moving around in areas known to have snakes.

I should take a photo of the massive skin in the shed where my gym is, I definitely have a big snake living there, good thing it is only a carpet python.

I took a RAT today it was negative, hard to breathe, I still may go and get a PCR done on Tuesday If I am still bad when everything opens again after the Easter weekend. Little miss is also heavily congested.

Hope you both get better very quickly Tru & it’s not covid.
Yes please to the snake skin photo 😊

Snakes are such fascinating animals - glad none of ours are dangerous to healthy adults though. Would be interested to see the shed pic as well.

I have been soooo sick and lethargic today, hubby has suggested I may have pneumonia again (he has seen me with it often enough) it hurts my chest to breathe but I am trying to be optimistic in the hope it is just a bad flu. a second RAT was also negative but no where to get a PCR till after Easter.

Have tried to distract myself by polishing off a few certificates from sports integrity Australia some were renewals and others just nice extras. Also done about 10 minute of uni work but I don't want to stuff anything up when I can't think or perform at my best but the certificates only require a small amount of brain power and some common sense. I will do some more tomorrow.

struggling badly, I will have a telehealth appointment with my doctor during the week.

I needed lozenges for my raw throat, had some Strepsils, helped a little but triggered an allergic reaction. Hubby went into town earlier and came home with a sugar free version which I appreciate but he got snappy when I said I had to check the ingredients online, thinking I didn't trust him, but after an allergy reaction and seeing an ingredient I was not familiar with I wasn't taking any chances. But Isomalt seems ok, I have not reacted and hubby has apologised for snapping now he realises I was only checking because it was an unfamiliar ingredient. They have taken the edge off but that is about it.

I have been coughing and sneezing up green phlegm all day. I know from past infections my doctor has said green is a bacterial infection, yellow is a virus. Still hurts to breathe.

I'm so sorry to hear that but at least you know what's wrong and are getting care. All the best.
