Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
:jump:Hi Sam

Wow 5.4kg in 22 days - awesome!!! I'm loving hearing these great success stories, makes me really want to get into it!!! Good on you - you'll be below 70 before you know it, and how great will that feel??!! Keep up the good work!

Oops...that jump was supposed to ba after the feeling good bit!!!:blush5::newbie: !!!!

:D Lol Choc...no worries. All jumps welcome doesn't matter were or when:).
Thanks for your comments...yes Cohens is really a wonderful program I wish I'd realised that more so the first time I did it and lost......

Put it down to me being a slow learner I suppose:rolleyes:

Okay Day 25 Menu

M1 - 1 scrambled egg with veg on 2CB
M2 - Tuna and salad...and 180gram of paw,paw.
Snack - 150grams of Mango and 1CB.
M3 - attempted:rolleyes: a sheperhds pie!!! minced up my beef and added herbs etc and a little veg from my allowance and then steamed zucchini as it's topping. It really was pitiful next to the families one I made:drooling:...which had mashed potatoes with melted cheese on top.
Oh and 2 CB...can't forget them:).

Okay then I'll come and do a visit and then have a shower and go to bed and read. A Thunder and lightening storm going on outside so I have the TV turned off...

Have a great night all - Sam:)

Day 26.....were does the time go???

Hi Diary and all hope everyone has had a good day.

Well I am very tired now...had a busy day which I will not go into all the details about at this stage.

I met my GF's for lunch and even though I couldn't pick a Cohens meal I did choose something close to it..which was a chicken salad and funny enough it was a small portion.
I refused the bread, dessert and wine and stuck to mineral water and had a black decaf for dessert. And do you know what the nice thing was besides having a great catch up and giggle with the girls was walking away from the restaurant feeling satisfied that I did not need all those high carb and sugary foods....and I did not feel bloated:Angel_anim:.

Okay my Menu for day 26
M1 - 1 egg with 60g of veg with 2CB,
M2 - Lunch out - Non Cohens.
M3 - 100g of meat & 100g of veg with 2 CB and an apple.

No outings this weekend so it's 100% Cohens.

I have my nieces graduation in a fortnight and would "love to be at 70kg" by then.
Can I do it?????.....It depends I suppose on what I weigh in this week but I've just worked out that I would need to loose 4.6kilos in 12 days.

Have a fabulous weekend all - Sam:)

Hi Sam, I just wanted to say that I think that you are doing really well. You must feel so good about the way you cope with situations these days. I think you should be very proud of yourself. Thanks for being so sweet in my diary, xo Cate

Day 27

Hello Diary and all:)

Thanks Cate for the visit:)

Woke to feeling lighter today and I'm not sure whether I'll weigh tomorrow. I've been doing so on a Monday the last few weeks so may just stick to that.
Maybe do my measurements though.

Busy day today with kids and playdates...and inbetween trying to fit in washing and cleaning the house.
Last night I experienced a terrible cramp and today that same leg has been aching all day. So it is nice to be sitting down with my feet up.

Also for dinner tonight the family had Thai food, I was just too tired to cook.
But I'm proud to announce that I stuck to my Cohens meal...no deviatations:).

Okay menu for Day 27

M1 - Yoghurt and PawPaw.
snack - 1 CB
M2 - Tuna salad.
Snack - orange
M3 - beef strips with veg and 2CB.

Bye for now all - Sam:)

Day 27

Morning L-Jay and all:)

Thanks for that L-Jay sure hope so!
I've decided to weigh intomorrow due to not having a toilet visit today:blush5:.
Anyway I'm off to visit my parents this afternoon...I want to do all my ironing and have dinner prepared for tonight so that I am not rushing when I get home. ATM I have very little time for myself it seems...it is just rush, rush all the time.

Okay I'd better go and start some of these jobs....

See you all back here tonight then.

Sam:)

Hi Sam, I hope your day goes ok with your parents. It must be so hard for you all. Good thinking, sweets, preparing dinner in advance! xo Cate

Hey Cate, it was a difficult day visiting my Mum she has regressed alot and today I was talking to her about respite care and she became extremely agitated!!!!
I felt terribe when I left and I was also upset with my boys because they were a bit naughty.

Very tired now and will go to bed early. Weigh in tomorrow...fingers crossed for a good loss.

Take care all - Sam:)

HI Sam

You sound so well organised - I have to take a leaf out of your book there, as I think that's half the battle, really !!!

Good luck tomorrow - I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised - and, you go girl - I hope you get to 70 by your niece's graduation!!!:jump:

Day 28

Hello Choc and all:)

Updated my ticker and I've lost 1.3kg this week:hurray:...

Happy with this but I think it could have been more except I am so constipated atm:blush5:.....
I am going to have a cup of my laxative tea after lunch. Sometimes I need to do this once a fortnight and then it just seems to get everything in motion (pardon the pun) untentional again.

Okay I have a waxing appt soon but I promise to come and visit a few diaries when I return.

My waist meaurements are 801/2cm - 311/2inches...that is close to another 10cm loss!.

Also this week will be make it a month that I've been on Cohens and I've lost 6.7kg.
That is a more then what I lost on Cohens in my first month the first time!

I am also going to weigh again on Friday because we have been invited out to friends for dinner and I know I will be deviatating there.
My friend is a fabulous cook and they are leaving for interstate next month so this will be like our last supper together.

Bye for now - Sam:)

Hey Sam,

That's a great loss! Congrats!

Good luck with the blockage *Wink* I hope all ....no, it's gonna be a pun. You know. *grin*

Sorry to read about your mum, such a hard situation. I have had grandparents go through this with Dementia. All the very best on your journey to get your mama to a good place.

Thanks Shine I was just editing my post to include a few things a missed prior....

Just had my cup of laxative tea!!!!...

Day 28's Menu

M1 - Yoghurt and pawpaw
snack - 1CB
M2 - Tuna with veg and 1CB
snack - apple and 1CB
M3 - Mozz cheese and veg with 2CB....

I was slightly naughty and nibbled on some of the kids roast chicken I made:(.....I was so insatiably hungry and I think it may have been due to the laxative tea I had this afternoon....or maybe it's because I changed my CB allowance around???
I just don't know???

Anyway visited the loo and feel alot lighter now;)....

And I don't think I'll make it to 70kilos by next Wednesday which is the day of my nieces graduation...I would need to lose 3.3kilos in 9 days:eek: and I don't think that is achievable. I have been averaging just over a kilo each week....so I think expectations are too high there. Anyway it's not the end of the world the important thing is that I have lost weight each week and will continue to do so....until I do reach 70kg:D

Have a lovely night all - Sam:)

Hi Sam, well done on the 1.3. I feel for ones who have problems in the bathroom dept. I find fruit seems to work for me. I mostly have been having kiwi and mango. Aaaaagh roast chicken, it's so hard to resist. That has always been one of my weaknesses. I reason that chicken IS on the program at least. 6.7kgs in the 1st month, when you don't have heaps to lose is excellent. Seriously, you'll be there in no time.
Stay Strong x

Hi Sam, It's good to see you being more positive this time around. I can see major changes. Keep in mind that every deviation will slow the whole process down. It may be that you are sub-consciously slowing down getting to goal as having boundaries may feel safer. I think I felt that a little. I like having boundaries with eating & am learning to set my own. Some things I can't just have a little of without wanting lots so I "don't go there." You will be able to keep the weight off this time too I think as you are changing your attitude. The "naughty/good" thing, regarding food, has been instilled in our brains since birth so it's one of the hardest things to shake!
You're doing well Sam, xo Cate

Day 29

Thanks for the drop in and advice L-Jay and Cate:)

Yes I know these deviatations will slow things down and like I said I think something spiked my insulin because I've resisted Saturdays take-away and other yummy temptations and this was by no means a fancy roast chicken. I am glad I kept it simple though no additives just herbs and Cohens friendly ingredients actually.
L-Jay I suffer from the "C" from time to time....last time the fruit seemed to do the trick but now and again I need the laxative tea to kick start me again.....and it did last night:)

Okay all I had my PT session 1/2 of weights and 1/2 of walking today...feel good after that. I would ideally like to do another day but I am such a lazy jobs at time!..

Okay not much else to report I am off to make my lunch now...chicken and veg.

seeya all later - Sam"_

Day 29's Menu

M1 - 1 egg and veg with 2CB
M2 - 120g chicken and veg and an orange.
Snack- 150g mango and 1 CB
M3 - beef and veg stirfry with 2CB.

Well I think I know the reasons for my cravings now.....it's nearly tom time!!!!
I have been feeling tired and irritable ( well more so then normal:rolleyes:)...and I checked my dates too.

Really hungry tonight and started nibbling on my dinner early...:blush5:

At least it wasn't the kids dinner tonight!!!....

Anyway I will need to stay strong and fight the craving as much as possible.....any suggestions from anyone out there on how they manage cravings during tom time??

Okay I'm logging out.....hubby home it's our 19th wedding anniversary and he had not called all day so he knows I am not happy with him...but his come home with flowers and wine:conehead:....and he knows i'm doing Cohens.
So he'll be drinking it on his own.

:waving: - bye for now all.

Sam:)

Happy Anniversary happy anniversary. The only things I do to manage cravings during TOM is to remind myself it's just a feeling, it will pass. My stomach growls and I think about the fat I'm losing. They say it takes 8 minutes for a craving to pass, so find something to do for 8 minutes. Also try drinking a teaspoon or 2 of apple cider vinegar, chased with a glass of water. It gets rid of hunger. And I check out thinspo on youtube. Have a great day.
Stay Strong x
