Let me guess how that happened: the white car had some kind of right of way (if only by habit) so waited for the grey car to back up. The grey car´s driver had some ego issues preventing him from backing off from anything or anyone!!! so they let their motor roar for a bit and made angry gestures. At which the white car´s driver dug in their heels and made some sort of gesture signaling "whatever, idiot, drive around me if you think that´ll get you anywhere", the grey car´s driver´s rage blocked out their critical thinking skills and they decided to show the white car´s driver what´s what with their Awesome SUV (TM). Just a guess, of course...

They're both classed as compact cars, so probably highlights how small that road is lol. No idea how it ended like that tho, my initial thought is that the grey car was going too fast to stop in time. But it could equally be stubbornness LaMa. Or even (maybe more worryingly) that neither driver has the ability to reverse their car!

Anyway, I'm at the seaside yay! Have lots of pics but they will have to wait until I get back home. Managed 35000 steps today :) annoyed as for most of the day my fitbit wasn't recording my altitude changes lol. Never mind. Will see how many I manage tomorrow, day two of Stan's seaside trip haha.

Not long got home so I'll catch up on the other diaries tomorrow :)

Went over my calories today, hit 2500. I think I needed that extra 500 tho as I did another huge step day lol. 34500 today

I'll try and sort some pics out from my camera tomorrow, but here's a taster from my phone haha. Croeso i Gymru (or to those who've never seen any Welsh lol, Welcome to Wales  )

That is so. Much. WALING. Only time I've hit similar step counts was when I went to New York City and walked non-stop for like 8 hours straight. Beautiful picture!

Want. Also: definitely don´t feel bad about eating maintenance when your walking as much as that. Weightwatchers used to count ~50 extra calories for every km walked and while you needn´t eat all your extra calories it´s sensible to eat some of them when you move around that much.

I walked so far I actually had a text message off my operator saying Welcome to Ireland! My phone must've picked up a faint signal from 50 something miles over the water

So... photos are now uploaded. Places visited were Llandudno, the very tip of Ynys Gybi (Holy Island in English) and... Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. And no, I'm not going to try and pronounce that haha!

Stan,
Fantastic pictures! I used to spend quite a bit of time in the UK, but never got to Wales. I had the opportunities, but I convinced myself I was too busy with work to get there. Yes, it was a serious attack of the stupids. Hope you've been having a fantastic time.

O man, that looks like a lovely trip! Gorgeous weather and amazing views. I should try and convince the boss to let me have the last week of my vacation time in summer...

Thanks all :)

Don't really like writing negative stuff but I had an unexpected bad day yesterday, it just came out of nowhere. I was hungry, in a bad mood and totally depressed with the whole losing weight thing. I went to the supermarket and bought a tub of pasta and some meatballs and ate the lot to cheer myself up. Shamefully, it actually worked and I felt better. On the up side, it's not like I ate a whole cake or bars of chocolate AND I did walk to the supermarket and back to get up to 10k steps. Well, that day is gone now and I do feel much better now tho.

Actually, thinking about it I was ok until my uni friend said she didn't want to go for a walk. I'm still on annual leave and she'd messaged me to say she'd booked a day off work as she wasn't feeling 100% and wanted to chill out at home for a day. I asked if she wanted to go for a walk but she said she'd rather just chill as she's got a busy weekend. Omg I'm such a diva  can't handle any form of not being needed lol. Anyway she messaged me today to say she'll miss not seeing me on Monday as we're not in, so needy Stan has had his neediness validated and he's happy again haha!

Today I'm currently at 11.5k steps and have about 1000 calories left for an evening meal. Got my hair cut so that's got to be a weight loss, surely? lol

Needy/cravy/grumpy days happen. Well done figuring out (a possible) why and limiting the caloric damage. Pasta with meatballs is definitely a better bad choice than a whole cake or bars of chocolate :)

They do seem to come from nowhere & take us by surprise. We're only human after all Stan. You did well not to hit the chocolate :)

Don't worry about the pasta. I think a lot of us are here because we comfort eat and it will occasionally still happen in spite of your best efforts to not do it. I'm sorry your day wasn't good.

Thanks all :)

Bad days happen, pasta is kryptonite! At least it wasn't chocolate and crisps, keep on going, so long as you have more good days than bad it's heading in the right direction :)

Totally read that as "We´re only human after all, Satan" and I´m laughing way to hard.
