@LaMaria
Im not sure of their exact origin but they look like this. They can b small like this or with a good food supply they can get very large. When they mature they develope razor sharp tusk.
They do root up the ground for roots mushrooms and such. But as in my neighbors problem the will attack a sheeps legs and when it hit the ground several will attack at once. Its very wolflike pack hunting. So sheep calves tame hogs small horses all are the size they can bring down.

Asked auntie Wiki and she says they're descendants from domesticated pigs, released since the 16th century. It's funny because while they're almost as hairy as wild boar they have domesticated piggy ears. A Czech friend told me that over there wild boar have found that they can gang up on and kill even big, well-trained hunting dogs. Didn't fact-check that story but wouldn't be surprised. Piggies are intelligent, social, strong beasties.

Yea that makes sense. It has gotten so that texas has declared open hunting on them. No special season or permits required.
The cattlemen dont worry too much about them because though its rare that like a newborn calf or newborn horse gets attacked i mean it does happen. Its mostly sheep herders chicken ranches those are the ones that get the worst of it.

Ugggg been sick to my tummy all day. Think my stomach is on strike. Dont think there is going to be any food anytime soon.

Well on a positive note; I've decided to move back onto the ranch property. The old farmhouse needs alot of work so its going to be a chore. Its not wired for electricity so ill prob set it up with solar panels and or set up a generator system for lights and air conditioning. Itll be a job thats for sure.

It does sound like a job, but will be a job that has you working towards something positive whilst moving more & that should be a good thing. It's good to have a plan :)

The good thing is it wont be too expensive. Since im not charging the neighbor for the use of my pasture land his eldest son who is also an electrician said he would donate his time to wire it all up. I would just need to buy the materials. That would just leave the carpentry up to me. Swinging a hammer should be good exercise.

Meh on being sick. But repairing an old farm sounds like an awesome project which should offer plenty of movement!

Pretty sure he´s an ancestor of mine. My skin has been known to blister even when it was overcast and I can´t even wear sunscreen :p

@LaMaria. But seriously though, i have an aunt with the same problem. Even on mildy sunny days she has to wear a ton of sunblock. If she couldn't use sunblock she would never b able to leave the house.

You do NOT have to drop your calories. No way. You may have to up them though. Compare a couple of (free, online) calorie calculators and see what they would advise you. I think you can afford to aim for a two pound/week loss for now without harming yourself. Eating too little puts incredible stress on your body, especially if it´s not used to it.
