Rebel's Diary

I weighed today and the evil weighing device said 453. So thats 5 pounds lost and 47 pounds lost in a monthish.
I can tell the difference already. I dont get as light headed when im up and around and my breathing is better. I dont get out of breath just walking around the house.
My knees are bothering me a bit. I think its just the weight on them when im walking around.
Im thinking of buying an exercise bike to get me moving more.
But anyways its almost 2pm so i should probably think about breakfast. Maybe its closer to brunch.

Another 5 pounds gone? Bloody hell!

I ate breakfast really late today. By the time i ate i was really hungry so i doubled the oats. I killed my carbs for today. Its hard being your own worst enemy:(

Perhaps start your day with something other than cereal. Yoghurt & fruit? An omelette?
It is time you became your own best friend Rebel. You can do this!

Yea i eat eggs most of the week. I just really love oatmeal. I just need to think outside the box and look for more breakfast options:)

Going shopping in a few days. Why does good for u food cost so much?
Frozen pizza $1.25
Head of cauliflower $1.60

What the?????? :(

Most of the money for that head of cauliflower) goes to intermediates while the farmer gets very little and has to depend on government subsidies instead. Don´t know about seasonal veggies in your part of the world; having to store stuff for 6 months or carting it halfway across the world drives up the price. But how´s crappy food so cheap over where you live?!

It just varies on who made it. The frozen pizzas go from 1.00 for the real small ones to 4.00 or so for the self rising really good ones. Same for tv dinners and things like that.
I think maybe the cheaper price is just due to the fact that the producers have factories local so theres not a huge upcharge in trucking fees. Thats just a guess though.

I´m guessing they use cheap ingredients and produce in extreme bulk - transport is nowhere near as expensive as it should be.

Hey Rebel, congrats on the weight loss!! The bike is great, I just started using it myself. It's really easy to use since it won't put you out of breath like a treadmill tends to but brings up your heart rate so you do work up quite a sweat. It also tones your legs. I love it!
Yup thats about what i was thinking:)

Today was a weird day. Didnt really wake up till 5pm. So instead of planning meals and eating until the wee hours of the night i opted to just go out for dinner. Ended up at olive garden for some italian. So im misrable full now.

When i was at the restaurant tonight i tried a mineral water on a whim. I really dont like the taste of water but i thought id try it anyhow. It was so good so i need to find out if the local megamart carries it. I had never heard of it so i think its imported. It was called Pellegrino so ill have to look for it.
I was watching a cooking show earlier and they cooked some vegan dishes and they looked so good. So when i buy groceries i might pick up a few things to try. Though i probably wont try tofu. It looks wrong on so many levels ;)

Pellegrino is nice but usually quite expensive over here. Then again: everything gets expensive if you drink 3 liters a day. Good thing our tap water is excellent.
A bike would be a very good idea to burn extra calories while also helping your knees. Just be sure to look for something that'll stand secure. I often have to keep my clients away from their exercise bikes or direct them to the low bikes we have in the house until they get more mobile, especially when they are heavier. Simple models are often wobbly when they get top heavy.

Yea it may b here too. At the restaurant it was $2.00 for a half liter. So ill just have to check prices.
Im looking at a bike thats not very tall. I think it was called a recumbent bike. It has a pretty low profile.

Those are the ones where you basically have a chair with pedals, right? Good for stability and good for the nether regions.

Yea you have the seat and the pedals are forward rather than underneath you.
