Rebel's Diary

The danger for me when I have to be at the hospital for an extended period of time is less the food (it usually isn't that appetizing anyway) and more tge snack machines. Best of luck, Rebel.

This one has a pretty good cafeteria. I stay out of the machine unless I just really need a coke.

Hi Rebel, I'm new to WLF. Sorry to hear you're in the hospital. I do hope you're hanging in there.

Hospitals have always been an emotional challenge for me. The sterile, detached nature of the environs and all. I hope you're getting something decent to eat too -- it's always so hit or miss!

Take care.

Hi guys
Its been awhile but hit a rough patch. Lost someone close to me from cancer. No symptoms the found stage four at checkup.. She went from fine to a funeral in three weeks.
Picked up and moved 1500 miles to the east coast.
Lived out of a microwave then a toaster oven and generally didnt give a damn for a long while.
Picked up some protein mix and I'll pick up some good for me groceries monday and well c how it goes....

I´m so sorry Rebel. If anyone has to die of cancer I hope for their sake it goes quickly but it´s unimaginably rough on the people left behind. I hope you have support where you are now and your lust for life (and health) will return.

:grouphug: Oh, Rebel. I'm so sorry. That must have been hell for you. I'm glad that you have picked yourself up enough to start looking after your health & wellbeing again. I'm also very glad that you are back here. You will find loving support in the forum. There is a great bunch of people here these days. I love them. :grouphug:

Hey Rebel, I am new since you were active so I thought I'd introduce myself.

First I am sorry for your loss, that has to be tough.

You seem to be well liked by some of the long time members who already know you, that is a good thing. Are you going to be with us for a while now?

Hello, Rebel - I'm someone else who's newish here. Good to have you here with us, bringing lots of experience and insights! :)

Well trying to get back at it. Weight went back up. I quit seeing doctors off bipolar meds and generally didn't give a damn for a long while.
I moved to the east coast and things are looking better...fresh start all the way around.
I'm not counting every calorie and weighing foods so I'm not at that point yet. I'm just being more aware of what and how much I eat. See y'all soon...

:grouphug: Being more aware is a good start. You're welcome to post even when you're not counting (yet) but if you need a bit more time that's ok as well. I'm looking forward to having you back here!

Hi, Rebel. It's nice to have you back. Our son took himself off bp meds earlier this year too, but thankfully is back on them & is much better. He's starting afresh too. I'm going to start counting my calories again after xmas. I do think it's good to keep track, but it is a drag.

Yeah Christmas will be a no counting affair.
Right now I count for breakfast and lunch but dinner I cook for the family so cant really count that.
So far I'm down 35 pounds so seems to be working ok.

Oh wow, that´s a great start. 35 pounds is no joke! Still up at all hours though, if I´m not mistaken. How´s your mobility at the moment?
