Put that down, fatty! (again!)

Right, have woken up full of wonderful motivation. I'm in court all day today so have packed a lunch and got my smart clothes on. I'll never get used to wearing a suit for court.. I got told off for last week because my skirt was slightly above my knees and they could see my elbows. Ridiculous system run by ridiculous old me. Flashing an elbow does not make me a bad social worker! Anyway, have very boring suit (with bright orange cami top to show I'm not quite going along with their stupid circus). Then I am off to volunteer at the soup kitchen so will be a late night.

21st February:
Lunch: 1.5 apples (100)
Dinner: thai green curry with green beans, shallots, peppers and mushrooms (800)
Snacks: frozen curly wurly (115)

Total: 1015

I'm glad to see you back on here Sunny!

It looks bad showing en elbow on knee? sounds very 1930ish.

Thanks Cory! Lovely to see you x

Mwahaha, is it wrong that I actually like that, Rebel?! The shame.

Court went well - a beautiful baby has a new adoptive family. Lots of happy tears today. It's 2030 and I'm just home from the soup kitchen. Yank has baked a loaf of bread so going to have beans on toast and watch some crap TV with a glass of wine. Anddddd relax. Hope everyone is well :D

Thanks Hale - it was a great outcome for a little babe who had had a truly awful start.

A little nervous about today - I'm being observed at work. Was up at 1:30 staring at the ceiling going through it all in my head. Always seems worse than it actually is! Going to walk in today instead of drive and clear my head (it's a good 2.5 miles each way). Food for yesterday was good.

I loathe having people look over my shoulder, at work or otherwise. Probably a symptom of imposter syndrome. It'll be fine though.

I absolutely loathe having people look over my shoulder at any time too. I usually stop what I'm doing & say that they may as well do it themselves. That made me cringe & brought back some unpleasant memories of my second last job in the travel industry, which I know I was good at. Phone monitoring was ok, as you usually were not aware of it, but someone sitting right next to you was a nightmare. I turned into a nervous wreck. I'm sure you are very good at your job Hana & I hope you cope with it better than I ever did. I'm glad someone like you is doing such a hard job as yours. The world needs more Hanas xoxo

Are you a vegetarian?

Hey lovely lady, thanks for posting :) Yes, for the most part. I'm not precious about it so if I go out and want something with meat I'll have it but as a rule of thumb we don't buy/cook meat at home.

Thanks for the empathy guys. LaMa, I'm actually writing a paper on impostor syndrome at the moment, really interesting.

Food yesterday went a little off the rails as I went out with my new work friends.. got home after several glasses of fizz and Yank made cheesey pasta (which is my favourite when I've had a few drinks too many!) and we watched Friends. I think I had around 2500 calories which isn't the end of the world considering I have had two low calorie days before yesterday.

I have my parents staying with us tonight. We are going to see the Monty Python show called "Spamalot." Imagine there will be some more drinking but Yank has made a loaf of bread so going to suggest posh beans on toast before we go out for a long beach walk :)

Monty Python show was brilliant - had lots of wine and some snacks after dinner so need to do some damage limitation tonight.. Going to the pub for lunch but am going to trade out chips for a baked potato. Me and my dad got up at 6 this morning and walked over to the beach to watch the sunrise together :) Went back to bed for an hour and am now waiting for them to get up so we can do a dog walk.

I've signed up for a boot camp and core class tomorrow before work.. 6:30 - 7:45. Am hoping it'll set me up with lots of energy for the day but we'll see...! First weigh in is on Wednesday and I'd really like to have lost a little.

You seem to have a lovely relationship with your Dad, Hana. Walking on or near the beach is good for your soul.

So happy to hear about that baby.

I really struggle with Imposter Syndrome. I've been at my job for 2 years and I'm still waiting for them to realize I'm a fraud and that they made a mistake in hiring me. Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting for my university to call me up and say they're revoking my degree. It's no joke.

It sounds like you had a LOVELY weekend!

Hi beauts, thanks for all checking in. It was a lovely weekend, Spamalot was brilliant. I love Monty Python. Food was a little poor.. last few days have been very good to compensate so fingers crossed.

I did bootcamp and core Monday morning at 6:30 before work and am still struggling to walk down stairs or sit down on the toilet! NO MORE SQUATS EVER. The struggle is real. It's weigh day today so doing a little fast until dinner. Will update when I get back from Slimming World.
