Hey everyone :) Thanks Cate!

I did another 15,000 steps yesterday - didn't make it to the gym though. I volunteered at a soup kitchen in my community last night for 3 hours. Was so, so, so much fun and I will be going every Thursday now. We made a lovely dinner and served about 40 homeless men and women, I cut some guys nails and we had a hairdresser come in to give free hair cuts. It was just brilliant and I loved chatting to everyone. Got home and still drank some wine but had a very light dinner as was so tired so ended the day on 1500 calories which is fine.

Got a comedy club tonight but I want to stay home and watch the new BFG film.. Work has been very busy this week, and stressful, so wanting to relax. I'm at a friend's house Saturday night near London so know I won't be very healthy so would rather avoid the beer at this comedy thing if I can.. We shall see!

Managed another 15,000 steps yesterday, it seems to be around that every day at the moment! We stayed home and watched the BFG last night which was adorable - I drank a little so calories were around 1700 for the day - however that was with a subway salad for lunch, quinoa and a ton of veggies for dinner and then lots of healthy snacks and seeds so I'm not worried.

Off to see a friend near London today for the night, will try and post tomorrow :)

15,000 a day, every day? WOW! I played 18 holes of golf today & still I didn't do that many!

14,000 steps yesterday - food calories were very good (my friend didn't feed me in the evening and my good old British politeness dictated that I said nothing!) so I had lunch (halloumi salad) and a bagel for breakfast and that was it! I had a bottle of fizz after the fireworks and we stayed up chatting til quite late. Plan for today is to go do a forest walk, have a bite to eat and then I have a three hour train journey home!

Had a great time yesterday - went for a long forest walk and did my steps all in a few hours. I was then very silly (greedy) and was forced (begged) to order Pizza Hut and sat on my whale-butt all evening watching Cosmos and doing nothing. The scales were not kind this morning...off to the gym after work as my volunteering lady cancelled on me. But, yay gym!

We live in a small town so in a way we're lucky. No fast food chains here. We do have a pizza place but they're not very good so we make our own.

I used to love Pizza Hut, up until last year. Chef and I ate there, and well, I'll spare you the details, but it did not end pretty. :blush5: We haven't been able to return since. I think we were traumatized. haha! Have fun at the gym! :)

Hey girlies - thanks for posting. I had instant pizza regret. £20 down the drain and was thirsty all night and felt like shit yesterday morning. Never mind - lesson learned (she says optimistically.)

Soooo, I'm a fricking superstar and did 20,000 steps yesterday. Check that shit outttt. So pleased. Went to the gym and did a 60 min run/walk. And then I walked home, and to work in the morning as well. Felt knackered last night but that I'd earned my dinner and a relaxing evening! We watched new Ash Vs Evil Dead - Evil Dead is my favourite film of all time and I'm loving the TV show!

Calories yesterday were 1700 - I don't know if this is good enough really.. I know if I cut out the wine it would be much less than this but I miss my little comfort blanket reward in the evening if I cut it.. Hmm. Off to the gym again after work as my friend cancelled on me ( was quite pleased... I want to go back for another work-out!). Take care everyone <3

1700 kcal on a day with 2000 steps is definitely not too much, Ms. Superstar. But having a relatively large amount of those come from wine could mean you're not getting enough nutrients. Take care :)

Dude. Worst. Night. Ever.

20,000 steps is pretty crazy awesome!!! Congrats. I love, love wine - especially homemade, blueberry wine which I have a bottle of sitting in my cupboard for future consumption. I have a pretty strict rule on alcoholic beverages though - I plan when I'm having a drink. I know that seems crazy but I always think "Do I want to lose weight or do I want this drink?" and the weight-loss wins every time!

I find alcohol tends to make me feel boated for a couple days after as well as even a drink or two leaves me sluggish in my workout the next day. When I'm hardcore working out, it's almost impossible for me to drink because it hits me to hard and I don't really like that.

That bottle of wine is sitting on my shelf until New Years Eve when I indulge in a tipple. Until then, it's water, protein shakes and tea. :)

Either way, you're seriously kicking butt with the steps! That's incredible and so good for your heart and muscles!

Hey guys - thanks for your lovely comments. Sam, no drinking til new years?? Ahhh the thought fills me with horror. I'm excited for mulled wine season :D Not good for my poor liver though..

So my steps for yesterday were around 13,000 - didn't make it to gym as had to work late and I won't be going today as I have a funeral. One of my care leavers passed away and I had worked with her since she was 14 (she was 19 when she died) so I want to go and say a proper goodbye, poor girlie.

Food yesterday was 1500 - made a big batch of veggie chilli. We are trying to save money so am using up what we have in our cupboards at the moment! Not sure what I'll be doing tonight..

Poor girl indeed... That's basically why I work in geriatrics. I really feel for people who have to give up their abilities and control over their lives bit by bit but I can deal with it when they're 90. The few young clients I accompanied on their journey reduced me to tears every time I saw them. Well, afterwards of course, gotta stay capable/dependable/bright while there.

Sorry to hear about your friend. It must be tough sometimes working in your profession.

Great job on all the steps. Pretty soon you will be running!

You are a very kind person Hana. I'm sure you helped her have a better life, even though it was a short one. Big hugs sweetie xoxoxo
