Put that down, fatty! (again!)

Better to be known as a little bit of a penny-pincher than as an overspender. I´m sure she´ll understand, even if she is disappointed.

Your weekend sounds like it was amazing! Hope the knee heals up quickly though.

It must be hard having family that spread out. Although, I'll be honest I don't know the geographic distance from where you are vs. the part of Spain your aunt is. We visit family in the US in another state that's like 400 miles away, which I know is pretty far by EU standards.

It's about 900 miles to drive but less by ferry/flight. You have to get the ferry to France and then drive through France to Spain. Flights are much easier ;) 400 miles is very long in the UK!

Had a good day yesterday - worked on Uni work during my work hours (le gasppp) and then went to see Logan with Yank and my friend Palmer. Did 19,000 steps! Calories are okay despite the popcorn! Will check in later, must do some work!

Busy day at work - got a safeguarding investigation to start on Monday so lots of prep to do! Very exciting and a great learning opportunity for me. Got a team day tomorrow which I'm dreading, lots of team building exercises..joy!

Out of sorts tonight so Yank is in the study and I'm watching Ru Paul and relaxing before bed. My mutti is taking me clothes shopping on the 4th of May so I've got lots of work to do until then! One month..hoping I can drop another another 5lbs before then!

Brrr, team building exercises... I´m going on another mud run with my (by then former) colleagues in July: that´s the kind of thing I can deal with.

Team building actually went very well! I won the treasure hunt with my team and did 10,000 steps just running around the hospital grounds hunting for things! Was great exercise. So, my parents have officially offered us a 10% deposit on a house! I'm so excited..I thought we'd never be able to buy. So I've got an agreement in principle from a bank for a mortgage and I'm going to start looking at houses! Maaaaah.

My dad is here tonight for 3 nights (*gulp* guests!! nooo!) and we are planning a 20 mile hike tomorrow followed by 15 miles on Sunday to do some training for our 80 mile walk at the end of the month. Hoping the 20 miles will aid with a good loss for Sunday but we will see!

House hunting? Near-terminal excitement, congratulations! Take car of your knee and please tell me those 80 miles are spread over several days. That's more than the Kennedy March even!

Amazing news about the house. With the deposit sorted and an agreement from the building society - its just a question of finding the house for you.

That's an awful lot of walking coming up - I hope your knee is a lot better now. You've been walking all week - despite the knee.

Managed 35/36 miles over two days at the weekend. Got very sunburned and ate a lot to compensate for the extra activity and scales are not being kind..probably had too much wine too! At work now and booking in some house/flat viewings for this week. Really excited but nervous too.

Not lost anything in the last week. I think I've been a bit lax at logging everything properly so going to make a real effort this week. Only lost a 1lb in three weeks..time to crack on with this journey!!

Week One: 199lbs to 194.5lbs (-4.5)
Week Two: 194.5lbs to 191.5 (-3)
Week Three: 191.5lbs to 190 (-1.5)
Week Four: 190 to 189 (-1)
Week Five: 189 to 187.5 (-1.5)
Week Six: 187.5 to 186 (-1.5)
Week Seven: 186 to 184 (-2)
Week Eight: 184 (0)
Week Nine: 184 to 182 (-2)
Week Ten: 182 to 181 (-1)
Week Eleven: 181 to 179 (-2)
Week Twelve: 179 (0)
Week Thirteen: 179 to 178 (-1)
Week Fourteen: 178 (0)

Total: 21lbs down since Jan 1st 2017

I would have been quite surprised if you had lost much. You may be used to walking a lot but not THAT much, so I´m sure you´ve got some extra water in your legs. Plus I´m guessing your guts are a little heavier because of the extra food. Which, by the way, your body definitely needed if you walked that much :) I´m sure you´ll see the difference the week after that mega-hike.

Thanks guys - just want to have a really good week to try and get things moving in the right direction again. I want to get into the 160's - that would be fab :) I'm in size 14 jeans and size 10/12 tops now so size wise I'm happy but I want to lose a bit of chunk from the ol' hip/butt area. Maybe you're right LaMa and I'll see a loss for those massive walks.. I'm doing 80 miles over 4 days in two weeks time so know I'm going to drop a few lbs then!!

I've had a perfect day today - really pleased! Got lots done at work, got marks back for an essay and have got a great score and I organised my calender slightly so feeling a little more organised. Off for an early night now. Got work and a few house viewings tomorrow!

Breakfast: mandarin segments in juice, low-cal jelly (109)
Lunch: 3 crackers with 1 laughing cow cheese, 1 tbsp seeds (282)
Dinner: cous cous, an insane amount of mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots with 100g halloumi (658)
Snacks: small glass wine, 2 satsumas (107)

Total:
1156
Steps: 11,000

First house was not good - needed a lotttttttt of work. Won't be picking that one! Got a more promising viewing tomorrow so fingers crossed it's a bit nicer! Another good day for food and drink :D

Breakfast: pear quarters (132)
Lunch: 3 crackers, laughing cow, seeds (282)
Dinner: grilled chicken, 1.5 cups pasta, lots of veggies with pesto (623)
Snacks: small glass of beer (143)

Steps: 12,000
Total: 1180

Ooh, how did the viewing go today?
Looking at houses to buy can involve such a mixture of emotions. The end result will be worth it hon if you & Yank find just what you want & can afford it. I have such fond memories of our first home.
