I had to look this one up. I love it!
Put candles on the table, in the windowsill, and a couple elsewhere in your room. Buy candy, snacks, wine or beer, invite some friends, and voila, you have hygge. Or do you? According to anthropologist Jeppe Trolle Linnet, Denmark’s expert on hygge, that is not the full story.
“When Danes say that a social gathering is hyggelig, it also means that no one will discuss opposite opinions about politics, the economic development, or raising children,” Jeppe explains. “Conflicts or conflicting opinions are not perceived as hyggelig. Should someone disagree on a subject and a discussion start, you can be sure that it will be put to an end with a quick remark. Often using the famous sarcastic and ironic Danish humour.”

Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies :) here's some photos of me with mine! I'm like a tiny Bane in my baby photo! Took her on a chocolate making workshop..all in bag ready to feed Yank when I get home!

Thanks guys :) nice to see you back Omega!

Right, as predicted I didn't lose anything the last 7 days. But, I didn't put anything on either! So we are all good! I think considering how much we ate out I've done well. Back on track now and plan is to have a few low calorie days.

Great steps and calories. It is super that you were able to incorporate champagne and chocolate and still get such good numbers.
Just checked out the photos - Cate is right - the photo of you with your mother is lovely.

Ohhh I don't know LaMa! I've not seen your 'oooo'! Forum glitch?

Thanks guys - felt pretty pleased with myself having bubbles and chocolate all for under 1400 calories!

Yesterday was a success :) good calories and good exercise.

I'm cooking my gnocci for a friend tonight (word has spread, haha!) and hanging out for a bit. Exercise should be high today as have lots of appointments out of town that I need to walk to. We'll see how it goes! Check in later xo

The pics of you and your mum are lovely. She looks like Susan Sarandon in the one of you and her now. The choc looks amazing. Great to hear you're doing so well.

Awhh thanks Emily - she's a beaut isn't she :) Thanks everyone else for all the support!

Yes, dreaded SIL has left Cate. My house is peaceful again, me and Yank have been enjoying the quiet. I had a friend over last night and made my gnocci and shared a bottle of wine. It was nice to unwind. I have a test tomorrow so am revising today and have the morning off tomorrow to practice as well. Fingers crossed for me guys! Steps were insane yesterday - walked over 10 miles during my working day! Makes up for the higher than usual calories - my fitness pal reckons I did 1348 exercise calories yesterday!

28th March

Breakfast: nutrigrain bar (120)
Lunch: crackers, small amount of brie, crisps (305)
Dinner: gnocci, tear and share bread (932)
Snacks: wine, crisps and dip (571)

Total: 1928
Steps: 28,000

Thanks LM :) Was very tired afterwards! Slept well last night, that's for sure.

Chilled night tonight - watched some of the new Chapelle comedy thing on Netflix..unimpressed. Same old jokes based on the same old stereotypes. Think he's stuck ten years ago! Heading to bed to read and have an early night. Up early to revise!

Low cal day today to make up for yesterdays higher day.

29th March

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: red pepper hummus with vegetable sticks, 3 crackers with low cal cheese spread (307)
Dinner: cous cous with tiny bits of chorizo, chesnut mushrooms, onion, asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans and olives (553)
Snacks: a frozen curly wurly! (118)

Total: 978
Steps: 11,000

I think it's hard for anyone in show business to move on from whatever made them successful in the first place. Also, great job on your step count the other day! 28,000 is a lot of steps.

Thanks Cory & Cate. Think steps will be a lot lower the rest of the week!

That´s a risk of basing your jokes on stereotypes: they don´t change so you can´t grow. Another reason reality is a better friend
Very true, LM. Made me quite sad to watch him!

------

I'm feeling super skinny mini today - scales are moving in the right direction again and I tried on some new clothes yesterday. I've not worn jeans in about a year as feel self-conscious in them. Managed to squeeze into a UK size 14 and felt pretty good so took a photo! I have this dumb test today so better revise. Got volunteering tonight so Yank doing beans on toast when I get home, don't think he can mess that up too badly!!
