And YEAH, I already feel so much better! I feel lightness during the day and my chlothes is already a bit more comfy around my waist and legs. That's a great feeling!
Awesome!

Yay for water! If your eating window is very short maybe concentrating on low-cal food isn't as helpful. A fattier cut of meat would likely keep your body satisfied longer than carbs (especially if it was white pasta).
Yes, I'm definetely gonna consider that in the future. I have decided to start slow, for now I'm focused on making IF a habit, and getting used to feeling of hunger. Eventually I'm planning to do more cal tracking, more low carb days and more different kinds of exercise.

I have meat or fish every day, and when I'm thinking about low carb I will probably add some eggs in salad or something like that and make carb part smaller..
Sounds like a good day! I love soup, by the way. Fantastic way to add volume for not a lot of calories
Yes, soup is amazing addition. I usually have broth type soup or mixed veggies which I blend and add some spices. It really fills my stomach at the beginning of meal.

Great, about the blood pressure reading being much calmer when you took it again - and also great about things generally, feeling much lighter, and working out what works for you. :)

I'm so sad and worried I could cry :(
Yesterday I did 3 hours feeding window with 21 hours of fasting, and day before I had 8 hour feeding window with 16 hours of fasting before that.
Out of curiosity I have measured my blood pressure few hours after meal both days. Yesterday it was slightly higher than before (diastolic 84, systolic was ok) But yesterday, after 21 fasting hours and meal - it was skyrocketing - around 90, which is, if you ask internet classified as hypertension. Upper values were all under 130 so that's okay.
This morning - first reading 135/96!! Last reading (after I sat still for some while) - 117/90 :(

I'm worried because I NEVER had other one so high, it was always under 80, sometimes even around 70. I have noticed slightly elevation after I found our about cancer in my family, but this right now is really scary.
Of course, I was googling and found some article which said fasting can elevate brood pressure in some patients, especially ones who have tendency to hypertension. I probbaly have it, since some of my family members had really high BP from young age (not related to weight at all!)

I'm feeling so great doing this OMAD thing and now I'm worried what if I had to stop it? :(

But, when I think about it a bit, there are some stuff I can try:
I can incorporate regular moderate cardio for at least hour every day (wasn't very good with that these days)
I can lower coffee intake just for the morning and after that have some herbal tea during the day (I had shitload of coffee these days on work)
I can take care of salt in my food (I think I had really salty stuff in last two days), and definetely lower sugar intake. That will definetely be my next step. I'm getting used to fasting, now it's time to work on food.

If anyone has some thoughts I would appreciate it :) Thanks.

Oh, kittykat! I'm not the person to give you advice (because I'm not an expert, nor a health professional) - but I'm feeling for you, being suddenly hit by this serious worry. It might be that fasting just doesn't suit your body - especially if you have a family tendency to hypertension? But until you find out, I would think cutting back on the coffee and salt would have to a good first step.
I hope you can get this sorted fairly quickly. Can you see a doctor (or similar health professional) about it?

I don't think your measurements are worrying short-term, especially when they go down as quickly as you say they do. Being stressed sbout the possible number can itself drive your blood pressure up, not to mention drinking lots of caffeine to get through the day without eating. I'd suggest sitting quietly for a couple of minutes before measuring and of course drinking mostly water instead of caffeine. Give your body a week or two to adjust to your plans as any change of routine, even a healthy one, is kind of stressful and could drive your BP up.

Thank you ladies. You are the best!

Aiminglow,
if this situation persists for like a month, yeah, I will se the doctor. But I can't talk to them about fasting because I don't think most of them are supporting that. OTOH they will probably give me advice to lose weight, that doesn't make sense!
So I'm definetely trying to lower it down myself first, I have already decided to have just one morning coffee today and I'm gonna significantly reduce my salt intake. Also I'm gonna reduce sugar more and move onto low carb/keto desserts.
Also thinking about having 3 small meals today in like 8hrs window just to see how that affects my BP.

LaMa, thank you, maybe you are right, but seeing that diastolic number a bit higher (more than 80) months ago is why I'm tracking my BP regulary. It was never that big concern of mine before, but I'm aware I have HBP tendency in my family so I need to monitor it. Luckily, I'm not smoking or drinking a lot :D But yeah, I had lot of coffee these days without food :( Like 3-4 servings a day… But it looks like it's not the same when you have it after meal and without a meal.
And yeah, I'm gonna wait for week or two more definetely!

Funny thing is fasting gives me energy and I'm feeling so upbeat and energetic while doing it. it's kinda opposite of low BP situations :D

Also my job is peaking right now. I just got returning client, so now I have 3 of them. I love them all and we all work perfectly together, and all that opportunities makes me excited. At the same time, I'm worrying how I'm gonna make it all. I'm probably a bit under pressure because of that too.
But I love this situation more than 'no client' one, so I probably should be happy.

Hey Kitty!! Such a lovely name btw! Thanks for writing the lovely comment on my diary! :)

You were not kidding when you said we were kind of similar!! We are practically the same weight and height! I swear the support you will get here will make your weight loss journey so much more easier!!! That’s what I found when I was on here a few year ago! But you know what, I never kept up the habit. Make sure to check in every day, and if not, then most days. Ps your English is perfect!!! I thought you spoke English as your first language :)

I only got to read your introduction as am only on this for a couple of mins! But I cannot wait to see your progress!! You can do this x

No worries, it's been only a week since I'm here. I'm still just getting used to new life choices :)
Thank you!

Work stress would contribute to high BP as well, of course. And losing weight might lower it... i think you're very right to keep an eye on it though, especially if it's a family issue. About doctors: some will support IF and some won't. Worth a shot and even if they object you might get new info about it from them.

Agree LaMaria!
I would really love to continue with OMAD/IF because it fits perfectly into my lifestyle. But I must admit I haven't cared much for seasoning my food. I will definetely take care of that for now on. It can be that bigger salty meal once a day makes a mess in my system. However, I need to think about it more and try some adjustments during the way.
Our doctors here are pretty old fashioned I think. So if I go to do a checkup I would probably not gonna mention IF.

Yeah, my thoughts are similar to others, and probably yours. Seeing something like this once in a while is probably not a big deal, and as you know blood pressure can vary. You are wise to keep an eye on it and if it continues to see your doctor about it. He can probably help with questions like how your diet might be effecting it. My suggestion is not to make any changes to your diet right now, and try to relax, relaxing always brings my blood pressure down.

Caveat - I am not a medical professional and have no expertise on this issue beyond my own experience. Don't substitute my advice for someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

I would tell my doctor about the IF, hard for her/him if you withhold information. I don't think your IF is particularly extreme, doubt the doctor will either.

I agree, reading your posts I had no idea it wasn't. Keep on posting, I enjoy reading about you, an articulate woman.

Withholding information from your medical professionals is never a good idea. You can still do IF if he disagrees but then at least when some kind of problem should crop up he knows what background stuff he should be taking into account.

I also agree with what folks have stated above. A few readings up there isn't a lot to worry about. Day to day levels can vary a lot for a lot of reasons.

Thank you dear people!
Yesterday I had coffee only in the morning and I was very careful about the salt amount during my feeding window. Turned out homemade food is equally tasty with less amount of salt. I had hake fish fillets baked with some potato and thin onion slices, and beet salad. Also tried to have enough water during the day. At the evening my BP was slightly better, and I also decided to do one of my relaxing activities (it's usually art). I even had 1dcl of white wine :D
This morning - 120/83 (after I sat still for half a minute) :)

Ok so now I know what to do - control coffee intake, control salt, and deff practice relaxing things. Tonight I'm going out with my friend for some quiet drinks. Although she laughs very loud so it won't be that quiet :D

I talked with husband about my weight loss finally, and he is very supportive, so I believe he won't interfere with my WL concept in any way. That means he probably won't mind having some meals alone and similar stuff.

OMG thank you! It's important for me that people can understand what I want to tell them.

Okay, actually you are right. Maybe I'm too quick to judge. I'm really not sure how would my doctor take it. Maybe he supports it.
:iagree: with both of the above posts, kittykat!

Congratulations on acquiring your new clients! :)
Thank you! :)

Yup, I guess you are also right. Still, I'm gonna continue to check my BP from time to time, maybe once a week.

I'm also planning some nice hikes this weekend, hope it won't be too hard :)

Weekend was nice. At saturday I had looongest feeding window since I started, for like 12 hours. Actually it was the same like I had before although I think I even had 16 hours feeding periods before which is hella lot.

I'm not considering it as a slip or fail, I had it, tried to eat less caloric food, and next day I got back to shorter feeding window.

Hiking didn't happened bcs of some circumstances but I did some walking around. I would really love to incorporate more activity but since I have lot to do for my job it's not possible right now.

Also I decided to start tracking calories whenever possible because I want bit more control and since I eat 1-2 times a day it shouldn't be pain in the ass :)

Walking is still something so you should be proud! I need to start incorporating more exercise into my daily life too! :)
