Despite everything, another gain. I think I'm done for now. I wish I could have contributed a little more in the way of points for weight lost. Sorry team.

Hi everyone, I'm back from vacation and just wanted to extend a heart felt apology for what seems like a bail on the challenge. That was NOT my intention. I had every intention on finishing the challenge, but the week before I went away my oldest dog got very sick. I had to spend a lot of time at the ER vets trying to figure out what was wrong with him and then when I was home I was working on making him comfortable while doing research on how to manage his condition. It turns out my dog has pancreatic tumors which is causing Insulinoma. This means that his body is producing too much insulin and his blood sugar levels were dropping to dangerously low levels. He's supposed to be in the 100's and he was testing at around 50 most of the time with other tests coming in within the 28-38 range. For him, a 70 would be considered low so he was very low. During his exam they also found a large inoperable heart tumor. So basically, with all of this coming around the challenge, and everything else for that matter, just had to take a back seat. I almost canceled my trip too, but our vet urged me to go and my father did too. Thankfully while I was away he did do fine and his blood sugar has been pretty consistant with only 2 tests below 50.

Omega I completely respect your decision and would've respected any decision you made. As I said, I did intend on finishing this challenge, but I had so much going on that I just couldn't focus on it. I do apologize.

So anyway, again I do apologize for not finalizing my sheet. I congratulate everyone for your efforts and look forward to joining another challenge in the future.

Don't worry about it, Mandy. I don't think any of us faulted you in disappearing. You had a lot on your plate.
