Once more, sorry for falling behind. I updated my scoresheet with the amazing total of 23 points....*sigh*. Funny though, I was on almost 0 calories for 2 days, and still managed to put weight on. Somebody explain that one to me.

Anyway, on the plus side, I went swimming today. It was torture, not the usual fun, but I managed to get 60 minutes of exercise in.

My task for this week is to clear out our bedroom. Over the past few years, most of it has turned into a storage room, and the bed just seems to be there by accident. There's piles of books and DVDs, boxes with photos, and more boxes with stuff that came out of my mother-in-law's house when she died which have never been sorted through, spare furniture, spare computers and parts and so on. So going through all of that, clearing it out and turning the room into a proper bedroom again is going to be the plan for the week. I will give myself the full amount of points if I make it, because I really don't know how I could split it up.

Food log:

Saturday

cream cheese
cheese
muffins
homemade curry

That sounds like a mammoth task... If you do not manage it - give yourself a proportion of the points... I would hate to think of you spending hours on something and getting no points for your efforts...

Well done for getting an hour of exercise done.

I am still full of cold / flu - and havent done any exercise so far this week. I am keen to get better as we have something big organised for Saturday and I really want to be better by then... I am hoping to manage to do some exercise tomorrow... A full day of dance is currently planned so (if I manage to not cancel things) I will catch up then...

San - Careful about fasting too much, your body can react badly to that and do the opposite of what you want. If fasting isn't helping, switch things up by adding extra cardio and eating low-calorie healthy foods.

Omega - fingers crossed that you'll feel better very soon. It seems that everybody who gets a cold or the flu is lumbered with it for ages. :/

As for the cleaning/clearing task - yes, it's quite a big one, so I am still trying to figure out how to split it up - maybe some points for sorting out the DVD and book piles, some points for going through the boxes and sorting the contents, some points for actually getting the boxes into the attic - stuff like that. I'll have another look at the chaos up there tomorrow (I started on collecting all the pictures today, so I made a small start), and try to figure something out. :)

Thanks San. I really want to be feeling a lot better by Saturday. I have cancelled everything for the last four days - but I am going to try to do some dancing tomorrow to see how it goes...

A group of us are heading for a big dance event at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday... It is the most iconic ballroom in the UK. It is where they film the grand final of Strictly Come Dancing and have hosted similar key dance events for decades... Anyway - we are going to be burning up that dance floor on Saturday night... Tickets and hotels are booked... We've been looking forward to it for ages...

I am sure that you will sort out a way of distributing points for the bonus... You could even do it based on time spent... Everyone is busy so it was never expected to take over everyone's life for the week... If it is as chaotic as my house - a room could never be sorted in a single week - even if worked on 24/7...

2 activia cherry yoghurts
2 shape chocolate desserts
iced marzipan

Oooh, that dancing thing sounds amazing!! I've seen the ballroom up there when I was in Blackpool and it was great....now I've got all my fingers, toes and some of my insides crossed that you'll feel much better by Saturday!! :)

I've decided to go with the time spent, because it's simply the easiest way. So far I spent about an hour yesterday, and another hour today, sorting through books and DVDs. So I'll give myself 2 points for that, and hopefully I will get some more work in later on.

Food Log

Tuesday

Breakfast
soft boiled eggs
crispbread
Leerdamer Light cheese slice

Lunch
Highland Broth (Beef, lamb & vegetables)
Total Greek yogurt (which I find tastes almost like quark, so I will compare nutritional values next time I go shopping)
crispbread

Dinner
WW lasagne

Exercise: 45 minutes aqua exercise, 60 minutes cardio rehab exercise

room clearout task: 4/14

A point an hour is too strict... I wouldnt expect people to spend 2 hours every day on something to get maximum points...
You get 1 point for every 15 minutes of exercise... It seems reasonable to me to give yourself 1 point for every 15 minutes of sorting out...
If you spend half an hour every day on something you should see some results for your efforts and it is much more likely to be able to be slotted into a busy schedule... We all lead busy lives one way or another... I didnt set out to set an impossible task for people...

Hmmm.....didn't look at it that way. I'm going to be at work tomorrow and the day after, and doing full days both days (as opposed to my usual half days). One day at a charity shop, the other at the hospital, which is good - if I keel over, I won't have it very far to a bed! *lol*...But it means that I most likely won't get much done on those two days, which won't leave me much time. So maybe you're right...and one of the things I've got told over and over again is not to take on too much at once, which is one of my major problems more often than not. 1 point per 15 minutes just feels a bit much, so I think I will settle for the happy medium.....1 point per 30 minutes. Does that sound okay?

It should be brilliant...
We will go irrespective of whether I am well enough to enjoy it or not... Rod has been looking forward to it as much as me... I do however want to enjoy the experience as much as possible so I am doing everything I can to get better...
