Ok Guys I'm back and I lost some more weight since my last entry! I just realized that last time I checked in here I was 215....I am now 212.5 as of this morning!!! i have stayed (surprisingly) consistent with my work outs and have found that sticking to my 1700 calorie a day limit has really been ok....now I realize that a lot of you are doing 1200 and that my 1700 must seem very generous but it has worked for me and until it doesn't anymore I'm sticking with it. Now when I look back I can't even imagine how many calories I was taking in before I became aware of it!!
Anyhow hope you guys are all hangin in!
 
Hi there, so glad to see you back. Well done on your weight loss. I say if 1700 the right amount for you then thats great. Everyone has a different amount they need to be eating and only you will know what is right for you. Keep up your good work and keep coming back. Missed you here
 
Hi! Welcome back! Congrats on the wieght loss! I agree with Zoila, if 1700 is working for you - go for it. You can always make adjustments if you ever get stuck on one of those horribly frustrating platueas. I have had a lot of success eating 1500 calories. I dont want to go down to 1200 unless I really have to.

Hi guys....
Not doing do hot lately...last week I gained two pounds and I keep trying to tell myself that it's water weight or...SOMETHING...now I feel frantic - like I'm wasting time and so I'm cramming doughnuts down my throat....like that's going to help!!! I feel like there is no difference even though I try ....I know that's irrational but I guess I'm in a slump...Need some inspiration!!!
 
Hey! I'm glad your back!! Just remember when you get off track dont put it off until the next day! If you mess up during the day try to stay on track the rest of the day! Are you getting in plenty of water and exercise??
 
Hey Girl....thanks for the reply....I'm sticking to my three gym days without fail - I'd like to go four days but find with a baby at home and my husband on night shift it's hard to get there and I'm still on Mat leave - wait till I go back to wrok then it will get really tough.
As for water - I can't say I even have one glass a day...just a water bottle at the gym I guess - I'm addicted to diet coke....I've gone off it before and went to water and I think it might be time to do it again.
This will be another week of not losing - of checking the scale too often instead of just on my weigh in day - of not keeping good enough trach of cals. How do you guys total up cals in homemade food?
I really need some inspiration....I don't want to waste what I've already accomplished. Phantom of the Opera is coming here in October and we are going with friends and I'd like to use it as a mini goal and see what I can wear to that event....it gives me six months. I feel sort of down right now though....what can I watch/read????

Hi, you are doing well, dont give it up keep going. I know how hard it is with little ones, my hubby also does the night shift and it mucks up a lot of my planns to. Does your gym have a creche for the baby? I find when I get down I just read through as many journals as I can and rember that everyone has the same struggles but it can be done. And I know you will do it. Think of your little baby and how proud he will be of his mum and how much more energy you will have to play with him.

I've decided to try and lose 14 pounds by June 30th....it would be HEAVEN to get under 200!
I'm still plugging away at it....not to inspired but hanging in.
Can feel the difference.

As long as your in thats the main thing, keep hanging in and when you see the weight loss you will see the inspiration coming back. Keep it up your doing great.

Hey Guys!
Ok I took a little break....from this forum and from my weight loss...as you can see I have come back 4 pounds heavier and having not been to the gym in 2 months....what happened? the same thing that always does....I make a little progress and then I sabatoge it...but this time I am getting back on the horse before 2 months becomes 2 years and 40 pounds instead of 4 pounds.
I'm off to to work and will write more later.
