POST Your Ride

:D

Everyone I know rips me for this car!

But...

A car is the most foolish expenditure I could think of buying, nothing depreciates as quickly in value, hideous evil necessities.

But hell, I claim £0.40 per mile I travel in it back, and it costs me £0.29 to run it per mile. Not many people motor not just for free, but for profit baby.

Meanwhile the profit helps me burn about during the warms months on my NC35

i wish all guys thought of cars like you do.

my new baby :) i bought her last weekend

This is what I'm talking about. The Yanks need to get some cars like this.

actually compact cars are huge over here now-a-days with people being conscious of gas prices and such. Every major car maker has one. While its not quite as small as that, they are all pretty close.

While im not a huge fan of the compact car look, if i had to choose one i would go with the honda fit (im a loyal honda owner)

ha ! my friend was just recently sayin her dad wants to get her one of those for her next car, and she said that might be good for old people...i actually think it looks like a younger car. i love hondas too! my dad wont buy anything but a honda. i want to own a CRV, altho the blind spot in it sucks!! cant see **** but its still awesome to drive. the cars at my house are a 93' civic (i think), 98' accord, 03'civic, and a newer CRV. oh and my brother owns a newer civic i think.. hopefully a honda soon for me ! :)

Cool, I hope ppl are buying them now.
In 2003 I visited some family in Newport CA and did LA and Vagas. I didnt see one small car on the road the whole time we were there.

I was just thinking, men in TX typically drive trucks, but for a reason, not just because. They drive them b/c they do stuff on a regular basis that requires a truck, like tow boats or trailors, and four-wheelers, or lumber, furniture, stuff like that. Therefore, it would be hard to drive a car.

So for all you guys with cars, do you have to borrow a truck when you build stuff or buy landscaping stuff for the yard etc? Also, what about boating/skiing/fishing?

I know everyone has different hobbies (not everyone owns boats and 4wheelers and stuff), I just think of the 52,000 things we are always doing that require a truck and it's a pretty broad range of everyday stuff, you know?

If you need a truck day to day then I got no beef with that.

I needed a truck when I moved, I rented one for the day and it cost me £40.
Not that much really when you think that my car does 40+ mpg and the truck I rented did 25 mpg.

I just cant see the point in ppl buying massive cars when they dont need them.

Has anyone seen 'Be Cool'?
I liked it when JT turns up in a Toyota Priyus and Danny DeVito is driving a lambo.

JT - its the Cadillac of hybrids
DDV - But what about speed?
JT - If your important enough, people will wait.

er..unfortunately all my money is being saved for...my own place!! BUT the topic was what car do u DRIVE...not what car do u own..i know..i'm that good

so..I drive my (parents) <_< Ford 500...i know nothing about cars though..so I have no idea wtf half of the car parts do. I just go by how it loooks and feels :)

The car i want to get when i grow up though is this!!

Nissan 350Z

Just like my grandpa's, all i have to do is learn to drive manual now..

They need a place to hang their gun :p ;)

LOL, yeah, that too. :D

My dh uses the actual truck part of his truck several times a month, and my SUV has 2 car seats, a stroller, groceries, diaper bag, my son's back pack, etc etc etc so it gets used pretty well. I used to drive a Camry before I had my second child and it was pretty crowded, the stroller alone took up most of the trunk.

I totally get the whole thing about people driving way bigger stuff than they have actual use for though.

There was a funny line on the movie "Over the Hedge" - they look at this HUGE SUV and one of the animals asks, "Wow! How many humans does that thing hold?" the other animal replied, "Usually? - Just one"

Lucky for you son, I'm the x-to-the-z-ibit and I'm here to pimp your ride ;)

Yeeeuh...homegirl gots da soccer mom van going on. :)
As sad and ridiculous as this sounds, that's pretty much my dream car. I plan on buying myself one when I grow up. And it has to have those nice bonnet stripes at the front.

Even more ridiculous, I want one as well :) (and I'm a guy :D ). Few cars can out maneuver a cooper, it's the perfect little bandit to drive during heavy traffic conditions. I want one that's black, with white stripes, and a nice pirate flag on the roof.

I jus got myself a new car the other weekend

Photo-0010.jpg

Its a '99 1.6 Daewoo Lanos Sx (comes with all mod con's) two owners from new in the same familly. Its been really well looked after and goes quite well, Of course its no comparison to me old motorbike, but i'll have to wait till it warms up a bit before I consider getting a new bike.

Role on summer!

Didnt Daewoo's motor division go belly up like 5 years ago? Or was that just the American division?

I don't know if we're allowed to these types of thread but I didn't see one and almost every other forum I go to has one....

Ill start it off

Thats my new Hyundai Tiburon...its no 350 Z but hey it works...and its cheap...and its not too common where I live

I test drove that car a couple of weeks ago. really liked it.
Its called a Hyundi Coupe over in the UK.
The engine is not that quick but really smooth. It looks damn hot for its price range!

This is my ride...
