lol - I feel your pain Chris. I was the proud recipient of a 1.2litre Fiat Punto loan car when my car was stolen and recovered (many years ago, not the Lotus). Had to drive to York in it - it was nasty!!

I've just had my Fiat wiped out.

I'd changed the engine to a bit of a monster for a car so light mind.

Micra is ok as its roomy and automatic, and has working windows, which after my fiat, is a luxury!!

I love my SUV and I'm damn proud of it. My next car will probably be even bigger. I'm haulin' around 2 kids and all their crap, so no, I will NOT do with some wimpy little environmentally friendly sardine can of a car. :p

I just gotta say, men should drive trucks. If they aren't driving a truck, then it should be a sports car, a fast one. Sorry guys, but ya just look like a wimp pullin up in a little eco-friendly, buzz around mini car that looks like a pregnant roller skate and sounds like a pissed off weed-eater. Some girls would disagree with me, I just think it's hard to look sexy and manly in a cute little girly car. :D

Give me a manly man in a gas guzzlin' pickup anyday. ;)

(ok, so I'm in a sarcastic mood)

interesting to c wot everyone around the world drives.. here in Australia we're getting more n more of the Euro feel..

just to add my 2 cents.. here's my lil monster

What kind of car do you drive?

I walk to the laundry room and open the door that leads to my garage. My arms rest on each side of the doorframes. "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye starts playing my head as the garage door rises, slowly showing a full-body view of Nancy.

She's a champagne-colored '98 Mercedes Benz C280. Leather interior, automatic transmission (boo!), sun/moon roof, 6-cylinder engine, and power locks, windows, and seats.

And the story of how I got her goes like this (cliffnote style):

- Rewind to December 2004.
- I just turned 16.
- My parents called me into their room.
- I thought I was in trouble.
- But instead, my dad was on his computer and shows me an auction he just won on eBaymotors.
- "This is your car," he said.
- "omfgz lyke...NO WAYZ???//!!!1" I exclaimed.
- "YA, we want'd u 2 hav a safe car LOL!!" mama said.
- The the car comes in a week later on a tow truck from a dealership in Arizona.
- I was so stoked, cuz I was expecting to get my older sister's car as a hand-me-down (which was a black 2001 Toyota Carolla).
- Since I live up on a hill with a gated entrance, the car was delivered at a nearby neighborhood since the tow truck wouldn't be able to get in.
- So I got to drive it for the very first time up the hill to my house.
- I was amazed with the smoothness and the newness of the vehicle.

I've taken her many places I haven't been allowed to drive, and she's been a very loyal companion. Although we've been through some rough times and she's had some problems (broken a/c for two summers and a busted gas gauge), I plan on keeping Nancy until I die. <3

And before anyone gets mad and says that I'm spoiled - I'm sorry, but I can't help that my parents love me so much. ;)

I'm not going to post in this thread for a while, so it doesn't become some kind of socio-economic view into the lifestyles of middle-class Asian-Americans.

Or until I get my license.

i iz smart @ bs
