Petals diary

I think we all have our moments when it's a struggle. It's hard, but none of us is perfect.
*Hugs* from me too, Petal. I'm sure you have made positive changes & are still moving towards being healthier & fitter xoxo Cate

What Cate said! Also do you have go-to foods that you like are good for suppressing appetite? The one that works best for me is pistachios. If I can't find my list, I just google it, and there are tons of suggestions. You are doing so great with all the exercise, and hopefully that will help a lot!!! More hugs!

Ice cream is a huge weakness for me too so I always try to work it in on a higher calorie day most weeks. It's pretty much my favourite thing at the moment (I cycle through must-have foods that are high calorie, right now its ice cream for some reason). None of us are perfect, if I didn't allow it I'm sure I'd be bingeing a fair bit. As long as you get right back to it the effect on your overall weight loss will be non existent/minimal in the long run. Hang in there!

Thanks everyone . Yes have yoghurt fruit crackers if need something . Don’t keep much bad food about so that’s a help . Had a good eve yesterday as had my dinner albeit a Jamie Oliver pasta recipe but was good and then I did a 30 min workout on dvd and followed with a 4.2km walk outside . I was hungry going to bed and thought about getting something but was too tired to get up lol .

I know i have made positive changes and they are in the most sticking . It’s great to come here and vent

I love ice cream but whenever I crave it I tell myself to wait for Thursday and Friday when I can have some. I've been snacking less between meals, just having green tea with honey.

Icecream is my downfall. Frozen mango is a great alternative but my freezer compartment is tiny so sadly I can´t just make a huge amount and be prepared for craving attacks at all times.

Ughhhhh had a crap week tbh . I have not focused on food properly . I have exercised at least but like Cate I too have had sore painful hips although I think from wearing wrong shoes one night walking . Wasn't planned walk so was not prepared . Determined today to shake myself off and cop on again .
I really needed to read all your updates .
I spent some time yesterday arranging flowers for my parents grave . That was nice . Been out about with my daughter a few times too . I have some stress now with work and my sick friend so that's probably causing the eating but I will get back on track now today and feel ready for it now .

Be kind & gentle with yourself, when you're struggling Petal. Sending some hugs your way xoxo

What Cate said. It´s tough (and I´m a bad example right now) but in the end we´re more stress resistant when we treat our bodies (and thus our brains) well.

Much better day again yesterday. Went for long walk albeit we stopped for many chats with neighbors but thst is good too . Ate well and a had a veggie burger for dinner which was made with spinach and butternut squash . Had it with roasted carrot parsnip and sweet potato chips , broccoli and I had 1 scoop of mashed potatoes. Have to say it was delicious . Did about 16000 steps overall so hopefully back on track .

My fitness app has to.d me to do a workout today and then I will have had a perfect workout week . So I better try

Sounds to me like an excellent day, Petal. With 16,000 steps I think it's safe to say that you are back on track. Well done, hon xoxo

Thank ladies as always for support . Yes I think I am back on track thankfully . That was a rocky week . Finishing up about 11.500 steps today .

I have not really been logging my calories so will start again tomorrow .

Pretty pleased weekend turned out to be ok . It could easily have turned into a eat all around me fest . The only thing is I feel so ill when I don’t eat well so I’m not sure I can do that anymore anyway .

So my motto this week is “ onward and downward “

I'm glad you are feeling less stressed again, and I bet it will all even out with all that exercise you got in! Onward and downward sounds great to me! I am starting up on exercising after really losing track of time and getting very little exercise the last couple of weeks, and it really motivates me seeing how good you have been sticking to your exercise plan!!

I was so busy yesterday I didn’t get to exercise by 9pm last night . So i forced myself to do a Leslie sansone so I did a fast 20 mins one . However I noticed my pace was bit slower than normal but I was tired . I did manage to clock over 30 mins exercise those together with that and all the decluttering and vacuuming I did .

Well done for pushing yourself to do that exercise Petal!
