Petals diary

Really glad you are enjoying yourself Petal.

Hey Petal, great that you are enjoying the weekend away. Don't worry about going over your eating budget so long as its not a binge, and something that is only occasional you will be fine. And I am confident you will be fine!

Thank you all kind people.
I am back to work today . Dread it .
I am playing around abit with my SW plan . I have not lost any real weight since February on it . I think it gives too much freedom in fruits and carbs . I can have as much fruit as I like and also rice pasta and potato. I think I’m eating too much fruit and also rice pasta and potatoes . Also it promotes lots of processed food although I don’t buy into that element if it much but I do have lots of small sugary bars . So I will keep doing all the good things l
Enjoy out of it like the speed food but limit my fruit a bit for a while . Just going to change my habits again albeit a bit slowly .
I love Ems lose a Turkey for Christmas idea . If I lost that I would be a target member too at SW and would not need to pay !

That's what I disliked about WW back in the day: on the one hand they tried to promote eating lots of fruit and veg but then their own low-point products would come out and it was the most processed crap ever. Never bought any of it.

The carbs definitely don’t aid weight loss, that’s for sure. Excited you are joining the campaign. I might find it easier to stick to if I know a few of us are doing it. :)

I'm glad you had a nice break, Petal. I might join the lose a turkey for Christmas brigade too, but might make mine LACFC :)

Right well I weighed at SW this morning . I am still going and keeping to the basics of the plan . Will keep going until Xmas I think for the weigh in discipline but I’m not having their low syn treats and I’m reducing my fruits and swapping out the white pastas and rice . I need a shake up so let’s hope this works

Sounds like you have a good plan, I think SW has worked well for you, your months of maintenance shows that. A bit of a "shake up" to lose a few pounds makes sense. Last night I had some cauliflower "rice" I thought it was pretty good, and lower calorie and carb than real rice, you might try it.
Lose a... Carburetor for Christmas?
I think that will be my goal, LOL!

I'm trying to keep positive right now. nothing but bad news re Covid. Consensus is we're facing full lockdown again . Just consensus in work etc so not fact based .

I am tired this afternoon. Think I may have a little nap

I don't blame you for being tired. If I listen to too much Covid talk, I get completely drained. Let's just enjoy where we are and hope for the best.

Oh, Petal :grouphug: Sometimes crawling under the doona is the best option. Glad you feel a bit better after the nap xo

It’s Friday yay . Not sure what we up to for weekend play it by ear . Supposed to be maybe going to mountains this afternoon as daughter wants to take some photos .
I hope to do housework and also have a visit pencilled to mother in law although it means leaving the county but her mental health is important.
I have been doing lots of thinking reading and educating myself recently about my food and I do realise I am addicted to sugar . I am making some small changes now and I’m going to make my own granola and crackers now . Also I think I will add some healthy fats back into my diet and I am going to cut right back on pasta and rice . I have bought some brown rice and wholewheat pasta for myself for when we are having . will keep you posted

A trip to the mountains sounds lovely. Good mental health leads to a stronger immune system so good thing to visit her. Enjoy!
