Well I said in your diary if you feel like you have lost weight you probably have . However I don't feel like I have lost but that I have put on which is strange as I am keeping to my calories . However I am very aware that last 2 days were carb heavy and I feel a bit bloated . So I will adjust that now for a few days . It's hard though as I find carbs fill me nicely . At least I'm keeping more or less to 1470 cals a day .
I'm struggling with exercise but that's because I was under weather but will get back to it now this weekend . I did weigh a day early and I was up .5 lb . Definitely carb effect countered with little exercise.
 
I saw a girl I know in the supermarket yesterday. She always would have carried some weight and I met her before Christmas last and she had lost so much weight . She went carb free from what I recall . Yesterday I noticed she had put back on a fair bit of weight. Tbh I avoided talking to her because inevitably we would end up talking about weight etc etc and I just don't want to do that as it drains me and I just prefer now to keep it here . But it made me think I'm better plodding along here and if I do put up the odd lb now and again and even if it takes me 2 years to lose and be a health weight so what . Even though I am still heavier than I should be I am actually happier than I have been in a long time. The rest will follow
 
I find if I eat many starchy carbs I feel bloated & uncomfortable.

I completely agree about feeling so much better, too! Even if I haven't lost weight in the last little bit, I am getting the hang of both watching what I eat and getting in good exercise. Just eating less and things that are better for me has really improved how I feel physically and emotionally. And being more aware of exercise is starting to pay off. I am really starting to get a normal amount. So maybe it's slow progress as far as the scale goes, but we are changing to healthy habits which will improve our lives just as much as dropping the weight!
 
It’s very important we focus on end goal . I had a little set back on how I look yesterday but am thinking this time next year let’s hope I look and feel good have healthy BP and lower cholesterol.
 
I think we all have our moments of self-doubt , but our long-term health is the most important goal & we are doing what we can to improve that. I think we are all doing well xo
 
Did a super long walk yesterday and relaxed too. Have been exhausted but have been busy . Feel all fired up now for a new week.
Kept to my calories yesterday but really had bad choices . Need to sort that now today .
 
It can be just as hard to keep pounds off as lose them. This is why diets don't work and only lifestyle changes will. If you love food this can be a difficult thing to come to terms with because the dream is you can one day enjoy all the foods you like again at the quantities you desire. The truth is that may never be possible.

True but at least we can try . I am aware of that as I have been on and off diets for 30 years . I am slowly changing my lifestyle and not approaching this as a diet.
 
I enjoy healthy choices anyway . There are times though when I will enjoy a piece of cake or a chocolate but just a piece not the whole lot
