WOW! what a ride.

It was hot, then it was cold, then it was thunder and then it was rain, HARD RAIN!! total iron training!! loved it. i did not see another person in a bike, and only 2 runners and one of thm had an M-dot (ironman tatoo) on his calf!

81:47 suncoast trail to the end and back. 4:44:47 - weird time eh!

Ate 4 gesl, one cliff bar, one pack of fitness beans, one pack of GelBlox
drank - 3 bottles of Gatorade, and 2 bottles of water.

It was great because i remembered- JUST CUZ THERE IS WATER COMIN DOWN SO HARD I CAN'T SEE, DOES NOT MEAN IT IS GETING INSIDE MY BODY! Lesson i learned at the Florida 70.3

Notice during thedrive home i was really tired- like sleepy tired. that is not normal for me.

oh- and i covered my gadgets for the first time. My average was 17.3. almost a mile and a half per hour. But i think it was the air pressure. i also think the really hard rain, and the puddles slowed me down some. But the wetness helped with my temperature, so it is probably a trade off.

Weighed back in at 183.6 :( - and that was after a half galon of water :( :(

FF, I'm riding 52 miles tomorrow, so I'll know if I can go the 112 with you on July 5 or if I wimp out and only do 56. But, I ain't goin' up Sugarloaf Mountain twice!

And, I am gonna definitely wimp out on the terrain race Friday. That is only 2 days before my first sprint tri on Sunday and the wife and I are going to the beach. Chicks dig a shirtless guy with a chest scar I am told;)

w2hat do you mean? you are not going to the poicnic race at all? DUDE!!! my family is looking forward to meeting you.

as for running, I plan to try for a low 20's time. My son is bringing a friend so that leaves me free to go all out. I would love to see sub 7's.

anyhow,,, don;t worry abotu the ride, we can just do the single loop. That is a good hard ride out there.

I'll post in your forum, FF!

Next Saturday, July 12 (can't use an "I'm staying home with the family on this fourth of July" card:cool:) we ride the entire suncoast trail and maybe even take the detour through Starkey Park to make it an even century!

Let's meet at that same McDonalds at 6:30am, but, I need directions again.

hehehehe I am a mush bucket at times and very neeedy! total pre-madonna, watever that means.

anyhow.

17 weeks kicks off today. I have decided to add a 20 mile bike ride 5 days a week, first thing in the morning. It will be mountain bike high spin, and low hard pulling combo's, just a morning cruise. That will give me 100 miles a week on bike, for starters. It will also get me out of he house and awake for a good days work each day.

Along with that I will be doing the BT'er's 140.6 training starting on week 17 day 2.

I am cutting myself back to one treat daily, low fat frozen yogurt, 2 servings at night, and one dark chocolate (2 squares) daily. Clean and lots of food other than that.

I am starting at 193 lbs this morning. 6 lbs of that is water I have guzzled to get my sytem going again this morning. Other than running I have stopped torturing myself completely, and I have no sore areas at all. Even my feet are completely healed up!

It feels rathe rnice to be a bit heavy, strong, and not sore. My fat weight used to be 220, and now it is 190. very nice.

Physically I feel great.
Mentally I feel like taking one more day off- LOL!
Spritually I am the centr of the universe and all things revolve around me- thank you thank you very much

Let's rock and rolll beeeeyatches!

50 burpees to get heart rate up
cool down

swim:
1500 continuous - 28:16

Spin Class: 65 minutes, new instructor, Rock and Roll, long haired, screaming and yelling the whole time, trying to prove something, kick back from the 60's, overcompensating, weirdo!

swim:
500

100 X 15, try to establish pace and repeat. found this very difficult, fastest was 1:45, and slowest was 2:06. Never did get two 100's in a row that were even within a few seconds. Stroke count was pretty consisitent at around 80

It felt great to throw down a nice brick!
