Nice long workout! Good luck on the 70.3! I was thinking about mixing up some different energy sups, but wasn't sure how they would mix in the stomach. :)

have you ever drank a glass of milk, then head out and run, or rowing, or jump roping is best, and push yourself until your core gets hot enough to expel the milk? Great fun!!! :jump1: Cottage cheese anyone? hahaha

I found I didn't do well with yogurt and have since avoided dairy products prior to workouts. :D

Wow, FF--thanks!

I can honestly say that no one has ever run 5 miles for me before, ever! Sheesh--if my house was on fire, hubby would save the dog before me!

Someday I promise to return the favor! It might take me a pretty long time to be able to run 5 miles, but you gotta start somewhere! Thanks again...

I have done good on the sugar free. remember tho- I get about 2-400 cals of frozen yogurt each night and that has been my saving grace.

riding my mounain bik to the lake to swim for a simple 20 minuts out and 20 minutes back is definately taper, comapred ti the 140.6 plan workouts i have been keeping.

the 5 miles run was for greenhorn. i shot my mouth off and said- well I'm done, go get your sweat on! and that didn't feel right- so I went and got my sweat on too. that whole walk the talk thing gets me all the time.

as a matter of fact, i forgot the challenge I agreed to...

doing that now.

metnally all over the place.... I need chocolate!!!1 and a 20 mile run and I'll be fine..... arggggghhh

Hey man, how's things?

Good to see you're going sugar free, I've done that before and after about a week you feel like a 10 year old kid again full of energy all the time, it's great!
 
When you mean sugar free, does this mean no artificial sugars from breads, and pastries. Or are you avoiding natural sugars and in fruits/veggies as well?
 
sugar free means I am not eating dubl choc brownies, or ckae, or icecream, or frapaccinos, and that sort of thing.

waht do you think I am CRAZEEEEEE.. the sugar free fat free frozen yogurt I am eating every night is delicious. but- it is not what I REALLY WANT.

and the only reason I am doing this is so that when I got into my event I am not sluggish. I'd rather l;ive and have a lil fat. Vanity is good, but DESERTS ARE GREAT!!!!

one lap is .3 miles, 5 pull ups, 5 chin ups, 5 handstand press ups, and run 3 benches.

did 10 laps

run: 3.2 miles

nice work FF! I'm the same on the sugar free. I can do "sugar free" as long as I can have my "no sugar added" frozen yogurt. If not for that I'd eat everything else in the house for sure. I've been "good" but only because I know you're suffering too :)

Nice on the workouts. I can't wait to see what you can do at the 70.3. It will set my standard...so go hard!!!!
 
I am trying to go sugar free and lower my blood sugar level, but I don't like Splenda, dislike the blue stuff and abhor the pink stuff. And I can't drink coffee without some sort of sweetener. I can add honey when it's available, but it's not usually available.

FF, I tried to do a sprint brick the other day, but my legs were so fatigued from the bike. Congrats on pulling that off. I will have to build to that level.

practice start open water, race conditions- from shore 3-5 minutes out to settle in, 3-5 minutes back run back up to dry ground = 1 rep

did 10 reps, total swim time of 67 minutes.

this was a great exercise. Fo the first 4 reps it was like dum de dum, then i tried to go faster, then i could her the national anthem, thn I was picturing racers next to me, then I ws talking a little smaack, and by the 8,9, and 10th rep I was actually kisking wide, pushin swimmers off and everythig... EXCELLENT training day in the water!!

good drill! You're fortunate to have the opportunity to practice something like that. You road biking those 12 total miles or mountain biking?
