Performance -Not Enough!

So would you say that you eat close to 4000 cals?
From memory the best I can- yesterdays diet-

yogurt 100 cal low fat
whole wheat pita- 3 tablespoons of peanut butter
3 hard boiled eggs, only ate th yoke of one.
salmon 2 servings
Pickles 2 servings
dark chocolate (65%) 2 squares- 120 cals
mixed vegies and chicken breast
cottage cheese with fruit
apple x 2
whole wheat pita 3 tablespoons of PB
large orange juice
2 large scoops of flax seed
4 fishoils
Whole wheat pasta, portebello mushrooms, olive oil, chicken
Side salad- all spinach leaf, with alfalfa sprouts, and fetta crumbles, no dressing.
brownie with creme cheese- (maybe 2-300 cals)
milk 2 servings
protein shake (after run) made with water
almost two gallons of water
2 grams of sodium (loading electrolytes for Sunday)

I thinks that's it- I definately consumed everything on the list, and I think the list is complete.

How many calories is that?

Keep it up, FF! I'm training vicariously through you until May when it will be for real again!

Holy crap, that is a lot of food. I added most of it on fitday, using average portion sizes and it came up to be around

4000 calories. Give or take 2-300.

You eat just as much peanut butter as me :D

50% fat / 25% carbs / 25% protein. Macro's from that day alone, probably from the chocolate, brownies, olive oil, etc.

I would have thought your carb intake would be higher since you run so much, but it doesn't really matter. There is no "perfect" macro ratio, different ratios work for different people.

yea, i was bored in the morning so i had nothing better to do than add everything on fitday and evaluate your diet. hehe...

you mean like potatoes and such? What would more carbs do for me?

Today:
St.Pete Times Tour- vey hilly course- worse than the Horrible Hundred for sure, but not as long.
77.09 miles
4:53:19 total time 4:38:20 Ride time = Goal was 5 hours event time :)
16.4 av speed
34.8 max speed

The group i went with was too fast. they dropped me within the first 20 minutes. Then I saw them with a flat, I stopped. They rode right off again, pack ride- with Estuardo pulling. Sag stop (drinks and food) they stopped, I didn't. It was at that moment I realized-

I may not be the fastest, and i may not be the strongest, but I can KEEP GOING! So I did. I beat everybody I went there with by over 30 minutes, including 3 ironmen.

This one chick told me i was sassy, when i was talking smack before we took off- I said "yeah I am a bit", the she said "as long as you bring it." (standing over her Cervitex P2(?) $5K Bike).

When they FINALLY finished I askek her- "WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT?" :D

now go get me something to drink! hahahaha

my "Precious" saw me through.

Stopped at gym-
curls - 1X12 with 30's, 1X8 w 35's, 1 X 8 with 40's
shrugs - 3 X 12

steamed and stretched.
weighed out at 183. (lost 8 lbs :bncry:

Thats freaken awesome FF.

even after 77 miles you still hit the weights ( even though you are such a curl monkey ) lol

Your a beast.

hahhaha That was Georgen's last piece of advice to me. My bicepts have been evaporating, so, I tag them whenever I remember. Where is Georgen anyway,,,hmmmmmm

Nice going, Todd. Let's do that one next year.

Is this the bike the chick had? Cervelo P2C time trial? . It's definitely not cheap, $2500 - 3000, but is actually a pretty good value for a top of the line time trial bike.

yes- that is th exact bike.

You just get thru what you got, and I will do any event WITH you. Even if it is some itty bitty sprint! I will stay WITH you the entire way too :luxlove:

you can do this! it is just a lil old crack yer chest open and getter-dun!

ohh I really like Cervelos a lot. Great job on the ride Todd! You're so awesome. I need to learn the patience of endurance. really really need to learn that first. I never thought I'd say that.

sky diving competition thats awesome!!!
I've been wanting to go sky diving so bad, its only around 150 bucks around here I think. Once i get a job..thats what my first paycheck is going to..

Have you seen the video where that one dude skydives with NO PARACHUTE?
No joke, he takes a swig out of his energy drink and is shirtless, jumps out and then 2 other divers in mid air hook up a parachute on him or something.

when you are ready Phate i will hook you up with Fergie- he is my first Jump Master and he is a professional at Perris Valley.

Damn thanks FF, thats awesome. I just checked their website and its orange county, so only 20 mins away. About 209 bucks, but not that bad.

I am mentally ready...just not financially ready LOL

ill probably do the tandem skydive

MIA---

The skydiving boogie went painfully terrible. Weather conditions all but shut it completely down. I went for a few great runs though. One on the sand and it made my calves VERYT sore.

I am 9 weeks away from a 70.3 Ironman, and all heck is breaking loose in my life. I have a job that is on the rocks, mostly my doing, but the work I do is very sensitive for me- I am either on or off, and well- I have been off. I6t may be that I am being led in a new career direction and just don't know it yet.

SO- FOCUS- back into the groove. I am picking up my full Ironman training on week 9 that will settle me into a nice leve groove for the Disney event.

Back to post workout later.

Sweat Daily!

i'm sorry to hear about your job FF. I knew something like that must be going on. Stay the course, be sensitive to that leading and be brave in the battle. I'm thinkin and prayin for ya.

Glad to hear you're OK big man.

Sorry to hear about the job. I'm kind of in the same boat you are right now but things will work out, they always do.

Keep up the good training. Let us know how g8r80 is doing since you're close to his area. If there is anything we can do, let us know. Thanks, Greg

Hey Todd, sorry to hear about the job! I hope all works out for you.

Greg, thanks for asking about me. The big surgery day is getting closer, currently scheduled for April 1, and I am getting a little nervous. But that also means that the day that I can start recovering is getting closer too!
