Pacoltmaki's Weight Loss Diary

74kg. I got really stuck, can't move away from 74. At least I did not gain anything back, that's not that bad around Christmas. But new day, new plans, new determination - as always in the morning.

Will start IF today, that's one. The 16-8 version. The only problem is that I have to have my coffee(s) in the morning, but that is at 6am. It would mean to stop eating at 2pm. So I was thinking 11am-7pm but then what about the coffees? The milk has calories.

Second: I can't seem to get started with any exercise routine. So I downloaded an 8 week bikini body challange hahha. The name is horrible but the plan seems good alternating strength and HIIT x4 plus an additional optional cardio type mini challange like 300 jump rope. I will stick to the plan, will not try to do more and will try to believe that it's enough. After 8 weeks I'll have proof.

Also in the afternoons I get overwhelmed by everything, and I'd love to have a punching bag. In the basement I could install one of those sand filled big bags and imagine that I look like those muscly women in films boxing for hours.

These are the plans.

Couldn't you drink your coffee without milk?

That could be a solution, but I don't like the taste of coffee without the milk. :D only maybe espresso. It's a 25+ years habit to wake up, brew the coffee, froth the milk. However, at the age of 15-16 I used to drink my coffee with milk AND sugar. When I started my most successful diet ever at 18, the first thing was to leave out the sugar. It took time to get used to the taste but I got there eventually and have not had sugar in my coffee for 22 years now and I can't even stand the taste. So I could give a try to black coffee!

I got used to drinking my coffee black & now milk makes me feel queasy. You can do it :)

I LOVE coffee with cream but only have it like that when I'm out, as i can't be bothered to keep cream at home... At home I just drink it black and like it now. It probably did take me a bit to adjust. But I still love the treat of it with cream when I go out :)
Best of luck with the 8 week bikini body plan--it sounds intense!

:) I didn't like olives but wanted to like them, now they are among my favourites. I didn't like avocados but wanted to, also among my favourites now. So I'll just drink it black until I get to like it. :D

Plan is to avoid any calories until 11am so it will be black and I'll just have to get used to it, then at 11 I'll have one with milk froth. I love it with cream too, bit don't keep it at home either. :)
The bikini body plan is intense, I just need to stick to it :)

Hunger being psychological: I'm not usually hungry in the morning, if I don't eat breakfast or eat, doesn't matter. Today I started IF and want to have breakfast at 11 - - - > I'm dying of starvation :D

How did the fasting go Pac? I know I can't do that at all. I'm an eat first thing in the morning and last thing at night type!
Have you done IF before?

Actually went quite well, but have to adjust a few things. I had started this whole journey in August with IF and was following it 80% of the time for about 1.5 months and lost quite a bit then. Then I stopped I don't know why. Yesterday I ate from 11am to 7pm, actually that's not at all difficult, I couldn't do 20/4 though. Around 9pm I felt a bit of hunger but had a tea and that helped.

So I'm writing this with a cup of steaming black coffee (my second this morning) and it's quite good actually.

Yesterday I had my eating window from 11am to 7pm but stopped eating around 6:30, as I wasn't too hungry. Did my workout at around 7:30 (the bikini body one) and I died at the warm up... I did the whole thing anyway but omg. My muscles are not used to any strength workouts anymore... The warm up in itself looked like a whole session of a regular workout :D

But I did it anyway. Had a green tea in the evening and lots of water.

I'm gonna kill the scales. 74.1kg. Seriously?! I'm sick of seeing this number... But, just started the new method, IF and working out so let's see in a week.

I have to change the following:
Workout in the morning, not evening. It's a wonder I did get to it that late, needed a lot of persuasion from me to me.
Calories to be monitored.
Slept really bad, waking up every 2 hours. Needs to be improved.

74.1kg. NOOOOOOOOOO! I'm beyond frustrated, desperate and fed up. It's been 3. 5 weeks with this same weight. I'm very very close to giving it all up and just go and get myself tons of chocolate. But I promised myself to do this week.

Morning had 2 black coffees, turned out quite ok. Helped around the kids with their zoom meetings, running from one room to the other (mooooom, I can't hear anything!! Mooooom, the video is not working!! Moooom, where did the zoom app go??!) and got to my bikini body workout at around 9.30am. Some exercises were typically gym type so it took some time to find non gym alternatives, but I managed to do to it all.

Had breakfast at 11am (so as planned), ate ok, went out to the park in the afternoon and played about 30mins badminton with a friend. Started fasting at 6.30pm, again according to plan. No hunger. Went ti bed at 10pm, was reading for about 30min about how to lose weight more effectively... Did not sleep well though, woke up a few times again.
Today is rest day. I'll go for a walk, will break fast at 11 and we'll see. If this week nothing happens, I don't see the point why to go on with trying.

Wellll... If you maintain while trying, you'll likely gain without it. But I totally get your frustration and if you're sticking to your calories you ought to be losing fat. Be careful, by the way: you've started exercising intensely again so after a few days of that you'll be retaining water again. I'm sorry I don't have something more helpful to say...
